Rush Runs into the Holy one of Gaia

Amusing stuff, Rush running into Al Gore, backing the Electric Car up and doing it again. His Holiness deserves it.

How to Speak the Doublespeak of Obama

North Star National

Many Americans are no doubt confused by some of the terminology used by the president in recent weeks as he has given speeches before a joint session of Congress and the United Nations, conducted a variety of television interviews and introduced new policy proposals. As a public service, we are providing a glossary of these terms with their real meanings:

Lets be clear.

Let's be clear.

ACORN – who? Never heard of them. (For related definition of Defunding – “holding a show vote on an amendment to eliminate funding, then bottling up the bill” – see the Congressional Glossary.)

Action (as in “now is the time for action”) – big government.

Balanced and sustained (as in “chart a course for growth that is balanced and sustained”) – involving more big government.

Choice – the opportunity to select big government.

Competition – we choose who wins.

Compromise – accepting my position after I give a big speech.

Cost savings – $900 billion in new spending.

Create or save (as in “create or save 4 million jobs”) – destroy or lose, as in 2 million jobs.

Engagement – a combination of unilateral concessions and America-bashing abroad.

Fact (as in, “these are the facts” or “to state a fact”) – my opinion.

Honest debate – agreeing with me.

Incorporate (as in “incorporate ideas from Republicans”) – include in the early stages of a proposal and then have Pelosi and Reid drop like a hot potato behind closed doors in the final version.

Irresponsible (as in “irresponsible behavior”) – constitutionally protected.

Misinformation – facts, when presented by our opponents.

Neutrality (as in “net neutrality”) – favoring one side in a dispute, especially when that side has supported your campaign and provided a senior White House staff member.

Necessary (as in “necessary war”) – not really that necessary, at least when it comes to backing up your words with required manpower and funding and standing up to your liberal base.

Negotiations without preconditions – the position I took vis-à-vis our enemies during the campaign, then denied taking, but am now trying to force on the Israelis.

Nobody (as in “nobody disputes [these facts]”) – no liberals or members of the mainstream media.

Non-profit (as in proposals to establish tax-favored, non-profit status for failing newspapers) – making official a condition that has existed unofficially for years.

Nothing (as in “nothing in this plan will require you or your employer to change the coverage or the doctor you have”) – everything.

Plan (as in, “the [health-care] plan I am announcing tonight”) – a really good speech.

Respect (as in, “respects the rights of the Israelis and Palestinians” or “the Iranians and North Koreans”) – overrun (Israelis) or elevate beyond reason with no expectation of reciprocity (everyone else).

Responsibility (as in the “responsibility” to buy health insurance or America’s “responsibility” to confront global warming) – big government telling people or nations things they have to do. (See “Action” above.)

Scare tactics – see “Misinformation” above.

Security (as in “stability and security” in health care or “true security for all Israelis”) – you’re toast.

Stand by our friends – desert our friends in order to “engage” with our enemies. (See “Engagement” above.)

Tax – certainly not the fine that goes along with the individual mandate. No matter what that little #&%@! Stephanopoulos or Webster’s say.

What is acceptable to Athiest Obama Lovers

How bad Inflation will Get

Julian Robertson has told the truth about the probability of rampant inflation in this country. No country retires it's overspending reckless governance thru economic growth or taxation. That's a liberal myth. Drunken sailors are shamed to second place by our government's spending.

The truth is, all countries ultimately monetize their debt. Print money. Devalue their currency.

We are about to do that as other world governments refuse to buy our debt. So, we will print funny money to keep the Ponzi scheme going.

Hang on to your wallet, wait, don't bother. There's nothing in there.

School Children Indoctrination to Worship Barack Obama.... This man is a danger

The lyrics:

Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama
He said that all must lend a hand [?]
To make this country strong again
Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama
He said we must be clear today
Equal work means equal pay
Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama
He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama
He said Red, Yellow, Black or White
All are equal in his sight
Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama
Yes
Mmm, mmm, mm!

Barack Hussein Obama

Hello, Mr. President we honor you today!
For all your great accomplishments, we all [do? doth??] say “hooray!”
Hooray Mr. President! You’re number one!
The first Black American to lead this great na-TION!
Hooray, Mr. President something-something-some
A-something-something-something-some economy is number one again!
Hooray Mr. President, we’re really proud of you!
And the same for all Americans [in?] the great Red White and Blue!
So something Mr. President we all just something-some,
So here’s a hearty hip-hooray a-something-something-some!
Hip, hip hooray! (3x)

This is how to implement “the dictatorship of the proletariat”; start by brainwashing the children.

Just so you know... The slide in Home Values still has a bit to go

Median price of a house sold last month was $177,000. It must go to about $150,000 before it can stabilize.

So, it's not time YET.

The world is LAUGHING at our President. They call him President Pantywaist

And yesterday's speech before the UN didn't help. It was the poorest saddest example of a leader saying nothing that I have ever heard. It was Barack Obama in full on campaign mode. Promising much with no capacity to deliver at all. Charles Krauthammer called the speech embarrassing and dangerous. I wrote about it here.

People in Britain are beginning to disdain him. President Pantywaist.

SAD. He is singlehandedly destroying our reputation as a great power in the world. He has become a laughing stock.

Of course the government controlled media won't report this.

Ralph Nader on President Obama: What's your take on Obama so far? Weak. Waffling, wavering, ambiguous and overwhelmingly concessionary.

Obama is proving to be Carter II only worse.

He's unsafe at any speed.

Read the whole thing here.

All the News that's fit to print from the New York Times

NYT: What About All The Good Things Hitler Did?

Good

Presented for your consideration as the latest argument in favor of Obama's stimulus spending. The best part is that David Leonhardt justifies his little bit of historical meandering on the basis of - wait for it - nuance:

More than any other country, Germany -- Nazi Germany -- then set out on a serious stimulus program. The government built up the military, expanded the autobahn, put up stadiums for the 1936 Berlin Olympics and built monuments to the Nazi Party across Munich and Berlin... The economic benefits of this vast works program never flowed to most workers, because fascism doesn't look kindly on collective bargaining. But Germany did escape the Great Depression faster than other countries. Corporate profits boomed, and unemployment sank (and not because of slave labor, which didn't become widespread until later). Harold James, an economic historian, says that the young liberal economists studying under John Maynard Keynes in the 1930s began to debate whether Hitler had solved unemployment. No sane person enjoys mixing nuance and Nazis, but this bit of economic history has a particular importance this week... Yes, stimulus works.

Of course in the case of Nazi Germany stimulus worked because it was driven by the mass confiscation of Jewish property. But whatever.

Almost difficult to understand why people suspect that there's a fascistic impulse beneath the left's redistributory schemes.

BY THE WAY, MANY IN GERMANY BELIEVE THIS

Obama the Impotent has damaged the Government's reputation, as if it could be damaged any more

Sometimes people wonder why there is so little confidence in the Government, particularly this administration to accomplish much of consequence. I am less and less impressed with Barack Obama's executive ability. I know it's a lack of experience and ignorance. Why we would trust him to properly execute any program is beyond me? That is the root of the Health Care Debate. He's never had a real job in his life. Still doesn't. His idea of executive administration is going on TV and looking good. He does that well. Everything else, nope.

Even the British have become disillusioned with him. For reasons different from me, but they aren't happy. They call him Obama the Impotent.

An understanding of the massive bungle known as Cash for Clunkers must give caution to anyone thinking that government, particularly a government that wants to use ACORN to conduct the census can do much with competence. The thugs at ACORN and the SEIU are symbolic of the level of equal opportunity clumsiness that this undercover expose' about the Cash For Clunker processing was like. There are STILL dealers waiting for their money.

I am very discouraged about this administration. I wish Obama knew what he was doing. He doesn't. That's what happens when an uninformed population votes for a pretty face.

I heard Glen Beck being interviewed by Katie Couric say, he wishes Hillary Clinton would have been nominated. He says he would have voted for HER over McCain. I have to say, that except for Sarah Palin, I might have as well.

At least we'd have Bill.

False Dawn

I have been warning of the irrational optimism in the face of very dire economic fundamentals. Now the bank of England has named this interim spike a false dawn.

I think it's a good way to put it.

The light at the end of the tunnel is only an illusion.

Much to do and too little time to do it in

I'm not that buried, but I have allowed myself to become buried in a mess of gobbledy gook that leads no where special.

Including blogging and too much facebook.

So, I'm going to slow up the blogging a bit.

I'll of course violate this as soon as the spirit hits.

You'll know.

It's time for work, crass capitalism calls.

The Worship System

And day by day weekly, attending they had a worship service in the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts and they did some other stuff, but that stuff was not as important as meeting in the temple together… (Acts 2:46 re-mix)

From Alan Knox

Mike Huckabee wins Values Voters Poll

The real message is NOT that he won, but that this voter block exists in the hearts and minds of most Americans, liberal and conservative.

This voting block is the show stopper. If we don't get them right (and I am one of them) we have no chance of winning anything.

I recently asked IF it is even possible for a person who does not profess a belief in GOD to be elected to higher office, particularly as a conservative. The conclusion is, it is NOT possible.

This battle is one of the spirit. Note I lower cased spirit. What spirit is being offered by whom in this quest? EVEN IF it were possible to bring Ronald Reagan back in full form in every way the same but without Honor for GOD, he would be not only unelectable, but I would not vote for nor support him.

This is something many nominal christian conservatives don't understand. What spirit are they voting for? Even subconsciously, we all know that in a crunch, when big decisions are to be made, when defending the country, what will direct their conscience beyond human reason.

And THAT is why Mike Huckabee got the bulk of the vote. I prefer Sarah Palin. But our candidates must be Godly men and Women. Not just conservatives.

If we do NOT understand this we will go down in defeat once again in 2010 and 2012.

I don't know how to convey this any more clearly. Spiritual Convictions matter and if you don't have any, it matters more.
