Electric car goes from Munich to Berlin, 372 miles on one charge. That makes it more interesting. the whole hybrid car thing was a foolish move in the USA. One commenter to this story says about hybrid cars when it came up:

"What's the point when their turbo diesels still had better gas mileage
than the over-hyped hybrids the stupid Americans fell for.

Turbo diesel is finally being brought to America's attention at least, although 20 years too late".

IF this kind of technology really works reliably (I'll need to know more about the battery technology) this will become a practical alternative.

Meanwhile we have the oversize golf cart with a back up gas engine made by Government Motors being pushed on us like hybrids were.

I guess the CEO in Washington at 1600 must think we are really gullible.

An electric car drove from Munich in southern Germany to Berlin without recharging its battery on Tuesday, setting what organisers hailed as a new world distance record for an everyday vehicle.
