Michael Ramirez takes the Obama empty chair meme to eleven

I hope none of my friends are offended, this is not Sacrilege, it's just a brief funny. Don't please take me to task for being amused.

SECRET ROMNEY CHEAT SHEET REVEALED!

I will admit, when I first saw this superficially insipidly stupid report ‘accusing’ Mitt Romney of being able to fit everything he needed to gut Barack Obama like a fish in Wednesday’s debate on a single sheet of paper (a so-called “cheat sheet”), my first thought was Wow.  That’s incredibly insulting… to Barack Obama; surely you’d need at least an eight-page chapbook.  But, once I saw this… well. Guess it maybe wasn’t a handkerchief* after all?

economic crisis

Remember that on October 9, 2007, 11 months before our “economic crisis” occurred (that was actually created), the Dow hit its highest point ever, closing at 14,164.53 and reaching 14,198.10 intra-day level 2 days later. Unemployment was steady at 4.7%. But things were already being put in place to create the havoc we’ve all been experiencing since then. And it all started, as this email explains, on January 3, 2007. I'm sending this to each of you regardless of your party preferences because I believe it is something you may not have considered. This tells the story, why President Bush was so “bad” at the end of his term. Don't just skim over this, it's not very long, read it slowly and let it sink in. If in doubt, check it out!!!

The day the Democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009, it was actually January 3rd 2007, which was the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, at the very start of the 110th Congress. The Democrat Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995.

For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is "Bush's Fault", think about this:

January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress. At the time: The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77 The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5% The Unemployment rate was 4.6% George Bush's Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB GROWTH Remember the day... January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.

The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy? BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES! Unemployment.. to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOES! President Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie - starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy. And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac?

OBAMA

And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie?

OBAMA and the Democrat Congress.

So when someone tries to blame former President Bush. REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007.... THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!" Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democrat Party. Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 & 2009 as well as 2010 & 2011. In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases. For 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budgets.

And where was Barack Obama during this time?

He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009. If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets. If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself.

In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is:

I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th.

If you don't understand this, you are missing one of the most important truths on the planet today. You have within you the power to bless or curse anything. Whatever you call it out to become, it will become. I see this with plants all ...See More
These jars are filled with cooked rice with water (exactly the same filling). This is the result after three months of cursing and blessing the two different jars. Do you see the difference?

Conclusion: The WORD is faithful since the begi
nning. Thats why we should be constantly aware of what we say.

Destruction (death) and Construction (life) are in the power of your tongue. - king Solomon

Just to remind you of this fact.

About the experiment:
The jars are on a shelve, with their lids on it, so no influence from the outside except words. The rice is cursed and blessed several times a day by different people of a family in a house with approximately 10 people. I don't know who was the most active with them, but it doesn't matter WHO says it. The power is in the words themselves, whether they are written or spoken.

If you think tonight was fun, just wait until next week!

LIKE if you can't wait for this debate!!
I had to sleep on it... Here's my take on the debates for what it's worth:
Content: Romney did well, made the sale
Presence: Obama is the king. Romney needs to learn to stand and deliver without looking too eager. Obama knows cool, Romney doesn't
Truth: Romney tells it Obama spins it. I think this is the most troubling for me.
Televisionablity (I made that word up): Obama. Romney needs a coa
ch on how to look more presidential on TV. He wasn't bad, but I kept thinking about the future..Putin, Netanyahu and all. Obama bows to others, Romney needs to be sharper.

Something I really agree with Romney on. Defund PBS, big bird and all. Tomorrow.

Obama used what must have been scripted talking points that he must have had written on the back of his hand. He was fully not fresh. Hard to be fresh in defending the last four years catastrophe. Some of the claims he made against Romney were bad campaign slogans. And not true. I hat to call him a liar...but he lied.

All in all I would call it a draw. No game changer. No one's mind was changed.

As I listened, the song came to mind:

If I gave you time to change my mind
I'd find a way just to leave the past behind
Knowing that you lied straight-faced while I cried
Still I look to find a reason to believe
You have to look really close but ya I think it might be photoshopped ;)
Rod Stewart must have been thinking of the Debate last night when he sang the song, Reason to Believe:
If I listened long enough to you
I'd find a way to believe that it's all true
Knowing that you lied straight-faced while I cried
Still I
look to find a reason to believe

Someone like you makes it hard to live without
Somebody else
Someone like you makes it easy to give
Never think about myself

If I gave you time to change my mind
I'd find a way just to leave the past behind
Knowing that you lied straight-faced while I cried
Still I look to find a reason to believe

If I listened long enough to you
I'd find a way to believe that it's all true

More Money won't cure this, more education won't cure this, more cops won't cure this. This is a cultural problem that can only solved by a heart change. What we need is someone who can take a heart of stone and turn it into a heart of flesh. I wish I knew someone like that....any ideas?
Before all my conservative friends exhaust themselves from dancing happy over last night, I see behind what I am hearing in the media. Obama is being positioned as the underdog to get the base excited. He must seem to really really need help from people who voted for him in 2008. Those who have wavered. They are being set up to return to the polls and vote to "Save" him. Don't be deceived, this is very carefully being set up. You watch and see if I'm not right.
There was a lot of "partial truth and lies" in last night's debate. Sorry to say, both men engaged at warp 3. I guess if it was all raw truth...let's just say, it would be very embarrassing for the incumbent.
The Voice of Reason, Sarah has it right. This isn't over...the fat lady hasn't even put on her horned helmet yet.
This happened at a Church I know of too. Ignorance is not bliss when you know nothing about plants.
Scary
Is this a race crime? Or are these just hoodlums no better then animals----

This is what MSNBC hosts reacted to the Debate

We have an epidemic of this in Illinois.
When dysfunctional, perverted, fatherless people get an education- become recognized as societal experts and set the ethos of culture - the result is an emotive system of touchy feely presuppositions that despise the patriarchal principle - is bereft of biblical truth and ethics - and normalizes the taboo ,resulting in calling good evil and evil good

Still I look to find a reason to believe

When being HOLY is a TRAP

The need to be Holy is a trap many Preachers fall into.  It's right to be Holy (set apart, consecrated, unique, eschewing sinful behavior).  The holiness I am talking about is the need to be consistent, even if you are wrong.  When a man or woman of God has preached or taught a certain bent of theology for a long time and then the light of revelation comes...the ability to say, "I WAS WRONG" is not in their vocabulary.

This means that many good spiritual leaders end up in a box, trapped by their own words, writings and the people they have convinced.

I have watched this happen again and again and it nearly always leads to shipwreck.  Sometimes when a preacher is in error, he will double down on his error and make a crusade out of it.  You see some of these guys on Christian TV.  They keep hammering the same anvil with the same hammer.   It takes great humility and sensitivity to the Spirit of God to admit you were wrong.  That flesh got in the way.  That you were led astray.

Sometimes this happens in Seminary.  Sometimes this happens in Bible School.  Sometimes if you came up under a certain leader you buy into what he or she teaches.  When God says BEHOLD I DO A NEW THING...they resist by digging in their heels towards an old thing.

The truth is all of this is driving by a demon.  Fear of Man.  One of the worst demons around.  We don't want to appear inconsistent.  We don't want to lose our congregation (income). Besides, we all have examples of someone who changed theological positions and suffered for it. Carlton Pearson is the poster child for this.  Besides, itching ears pay tithes.  Tell them what they want to believe and they will follow you into the pit.  There are many examples of this kind of relativistic preaching.

Yet, everything you  believe must  be measured by the Word of God, the Spirit of God bringing those things to life and the purposes God placed in you.  There are a lot of things God has given me more understanding on then I had 30 years ago.  Some positions I have actually changed. Some have matured.  This much is certain, you will not have the truth of God if you don't test it severely, if it's not tested by your life.

Or you can just live in the fear of man:  The fear of man brings a snare, But he who trusts in the LORD will be exalted.  Proverbs 29:25

Obama 50% Romney 47% Yet, my back-channel sources say this is not the case. Rassmussen is considered friendly to conservatives. He is also considered the most accurate...the gold standard of Polls. Still...those inside who have internal polls say the race is inverted from what the public poll results are. I hope they are right. I want to believe. The steady drip drip drip drip is hard to take. Yet there is a confidence behind the scenes among conservatives that is hard to ignore and a panicked look from the other side. Do they know something we do not?
I like this because it asks the rhetorical question and then really answers it with a lengthy, "Do fish swim?" answer.
Too funny yet sad all at the same time. How many times do we see "facts" posted in a way just like this and we go "oh my, that is bad/good"? Common sense has to kick in at some point.
