Up to two million march to US Capitol to protest against Obama's spending in 'tea-party' demonstration

From the British Newspaper, The Mail:

Up to two million people marched to the U.S. Capitol toda y, carrying signs with slogans such as "Obamacare makes me sick" as they protested the president's health care plan and what they say is out-of-control spending.

The line of protesters spread across Pennsylvania Avenue for blocks, all the way to the capitol, according to the Washington Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency.

People were chanting "enough, enough" and "We the People." Others yelled "You lie, you lie!" and "Pelosi has to go," referring to California congresswoman Nancy Pelosi.

Demonstrators waved U.S. flags and held signs reading "Go Green Recycle Congress" and "I'm Not Your ATM." Men wore colonial costumes as they listened to speakers who warned of "judgment day" - Election Day 2010.

Richard Brigle, 57, a Vietnam War veteran and former Teamster, came from Michigan. He said health care needs to be reformed - but not according to President Barack Obama's plan.

"My grandkids are going to be paying for this. It's going to cost too much money that we don't have," he said while marching, bracing himself with a wooden cane as he walked.

FreedomWorks Foundation, a conservative organization led by former House of Representatives Majority Leader Dick Armey, organized several groups from across the country for what they billed as a "March on Washington."

Organizers say they built on momentum from the April "tea party" demonstrations held nationwide to protest tax policies, along with growing resentment over the economic stimulus packages and bank bailouts.

Many protesters said they paid their own way to the event - an ethic they believe should be applied to the government.

They say unchecked spending on things like a government-run health insurance option could increase inflation and lead to economic ruin.

Terri Hall, 45, of Florida, said she felt compelled to become political for the first time this year because she was upset by government spending.

"Our government has lost sight of the powers they were granted," she said. She added that the deficit spending was out of control, and said she thought it was putting the country at risk.

Anna Hayes, 58, a nurse from Fairfax County, stood on the Mall in 1981 for Reagan's inauguration. "The same people were celebrating freedom," she said. "The president was fighting for the people then. I remember those years very well and fondly."

Saying she was worried about "Obamacare," Hayes explained: "This is the first rally I've been to that demonstrates against something, the first in my life. I just couldn't stay home anymore."

The heated demonstrations were organized by a Conservative group called the Tea Party Patriots

Like countless others at the rally, Joan Wright, 78, of Ocean Pines, Md., sounded angry. "I'm not taking this crap anymore," said Wright, who came by bus to Washington with 150 like-minded residents of Maryland's Eastern Shore. "I don't like the health-care [plan]. I don't like the czars. And I don't like the elitists telling us what we should do or eat."

Republican lawmakers also supported the rally.

"Republicans, Democrats and independents are stepping up and demanding we put our fiscal house in order," Rep. Mike Pence, chairman of the House Republican Conference, said.

"I think the overriding message after years of borrowing, spending and bailouts is enough is enough."

Other sponsors of the rally include the Heartland Institute, Americans for Tax Reform and the Ayn Rand Center for Individuals Rights.

Recent polls illustrate how difficult recent weeks have been for a president who, besides tackling health care, has been battling to end a devastatingly deep recession.

Fifty percent approve and 49 percent disapprove of the overall job he is doing as president, compared to July, when those approving his performance clearly outnumbered those who were unhappy with it, 55 percent to 42 percent.

Just 42 percent approve of the president's work on the high-profile health issue.

The poll was taken over five days just before Obama's speech to Congress. That speech reflected Obama's determination to push ahead despite growing obstacles.

"I will not waste time with those who have made the calculation that it's better politics to kill this plan than to improve it," Obama said on Wednesday night. "I won't stand by while the special interests use the same old tactics to keep things exactly the way they are.

"If you misrepresent what's in the plan, we'll call you out. And I will not accept the status quo as a solution."

Prior to Obama's speech before Congress U.S. Capitol Police arrested a man they say tried to get into a secure area near the Capitol with a gun in his car as President Barack Obama was speaking.

Police spokeswoman Sgt. Kimberly Schneider said Thursday that 28-year-old Joshua Bowman of suburban Falls Church, Virginia, was arrested around 8 p.m. Wednesday when Obama was due to speak.

Bowman's intentions were unclear, police said.

Today's protests imitated the original Boston Tea Party of 1773, when colonists threw three shiploads of taxed tea into Boston Harbour in protest against the British government under the slogan 'No taxation without representation'.

The group first began rising to prominence in April, when the governor of Texas threatened to secede from the union in protest against government spending. Waves of tea party protests have crossed America since.

Today's rally, the largest grouping of fiscal conservatives to march on Washington, comes on the heels of heated town halls held during the congressional August recess when some Democratic lawmakers were confronted, disrupted and shouted down by angry protestors who oppose President Obama's plan to overhaul the health care system.

How I know for sure that God’s Power is with me

When I was baptized in the Spirit and spoke in tongues, I knew the power of God was with me, and this power has stayed with me ever since. Speaking in tongues was a sign of that power, God’s way of assuring me that the Holy Spirit power had come. I have never needed to ask for power again. If I had not spoken in tongues, how would I ever have known I had power? By feelings? Feelings fluctuate hourly and are not to be trusted. God gave me an objective sign, speaking in tongues. Then I knew. I dare to go forward, not waiting for feelings of power. Strong men don’t feel strong until they use their strength. Believers don’t realize their power until they work for Christ. But if we know we have the Holy Spirit, then we know we have power for whatever situation arises.

Some people pray and pray for years for the power and are never sure they have it. They become frustrated and disappointed. They pray for a lifetime. They conclude that power only comes in times of revival. But the power of the Holy Spirit is revival. I was baptized in the Spirit and spoke in tongues. Since then I have never doubted that God is with me. I have the Spirit of revival. When I stand before huge congregations around the world, I enjoy abounding confidence that the Holy Spirit power is with me.

The move of the Holy Spirit represents the greatest evangelistic thrust of all time, bringing tens of millions into the Kingdom of God. It began when people spoke in tongues and knew God had endued them with power. They simply went out with confidence to set the world on fire. They made the last and this the greatest century of soul-winning ever known. I pray that you may receive the very same assurance by the Holy Spirit that is also mine until today. Blessed? Please tell me. I pray for you. REINHARD BONNKE

Remembering the Horror of 9-11

Do you think the families and remembered of Hiroshima and Nagasaki plant flowers, paint benches and pick up garbage in commemoration of that horrible time that ended the war?

Then Why does Obama have people doing this in memory of 9-11 as a day of service.

If it’s a day of service can I use it to teach teenagers how to shoot a handgun? Seems right to me. Would they get credit by coming to my handgun class?

How long will it be before the Day of Service is mandatory and teenagers will have to work in an abortion clinic for free for a day?

Do you go to jail if you are a conscientious objector to the day of service?

I have no objection to service. I just question what he is doing. This smells.

Was Obama a Pimp Daddy?

What if Barack Obama’s most important radical connection has been hiding in plain sight all along? Obama has had an intimate and long-term association with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), the largest radical group in America. If I told you Obama had close ties with or Code Pink, you’d know what I was talking about. ACORN is at least as radical as these better-known groups, arguably more so. Yet because ACORN works locally, in carefully selected urban areas, its national profile is lower. ACORN likes it that way. And so, I’d wager, does Barack Obama.

ACORN has ascended. They elect our politicians and receive billions in tax money. Their world is a revolutionary, socialistic, atheistic world, where all means are justifiable. Watch the following clip where two people walk into an Baltimore ACORN office, a political office-seeker and his under-age street walker girlfriend, looking for help on how to set up a brothel and funnel money into his campaign... and they explain to them how to get on welfare, and how you keep your 14 year-old prostitutes quiet.

You can't make this stuff up about the left!!!

While Barack Obama's connection with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) has not gone entirely unreported, it has not been fully explained. Most media background pieces simply note Obama's involvement in a 1995 lawsuit on behalf of ACORN. Obama's own website, as well as most major media, fail to reveal the full depth and extent of his relationship with the organization.

Attempts to hide evidence of Obama's involvement with ACORN have included wiping the web clean of potentially damaging articles that had appeared, and were previously publicly accessible. Unfortunately, those behind the attempted cover-up failed to realize that in today's day and age, nothing disappears forever. There also exists another layer of the web, the hidden web, which is full of information included in proprietary scholarly databases where these very same "missing" articles can be easily uncovered.

Obama's campaign website states:

Fact: Barack was never an ACORN trainer and never worked for ACORN in any other capacity.

Is that really a FACT, or just another lie? Let's take a look at a quote from a 2004 article - Case Study: Chicago- The Barack Obama Campaign - written by Toni Foulkes, a Chicago ACORN Leader, which was published in the journal Social Policy. Did we mention that Social Policy recently pulled this particular article from their website, while leaving links to all other articles up?

"Obama took the case, known as ACORN vs. Edgar (the name of the Republican governor at the time) and we won. Obama then went on to run a voter registration project with Project VOTE in 1992 that made it possible for Carol Moseley Braun to win the Senate that year. Project VOTE delivered 50,000 newly registered voters in that campaign (ACORN delivered about 5,000 of them).

Since then, we have invited Obama to our leadership training sessions to run the session on power every year, and, as a result, many of our newly developing leaders got to know him before he ever ran for office. Thus it was natural for many of us to be active volunteers in his first campaign for State Senate and then his failed bid for U.S. Congress in 1996. By the time he ran for U.S. Senate, we were old friends."

Not only does Foulkes boast of Obama's ACORN leadership training, but also makes it clear that Obama's post-law school organizing of "Project VOTE" in 1992 was undertaken in direct partnership with ACORN. The tie between Project VOTE and ACORN is also something that Obama and others have attempted to disprove in recent weeks as ACORN has come under fire for allegations of voter registration fraud.

As recently as March 2008, the Los Angeles Times also made reference to Barack Obama's involvement with ACORN:

"At the time, Talbot worked at the social action group ACORN and initially considered Obama a competitor. But she became so impressed with his work that she invited him to help train her staff." (LA Times, March 2, 2008)

While manipulation or entrapment occurs when people are encouraged to do things they otherwise wouldn’t, the pre-set trap is their own. These tactics allow the viewer to see ACORN’s soul; their playing field and their morality, out in the open. Their system is based on conflict and change for its own sake. This system is based on totalitarian principles and class war techniques. These people understand pressure, power and self-interest.

This will be ignored too

34th coldest summer on record in the USA.

I had a Priest of the Global Warming religion tell me with a straight face that the cold weather in the USA is because of Global Warming. UM, OK.

How dumb can you be and still breath.

I've been busy, I have saved or created 13,477,668 jobs in America

Yep, woke up this morning and wiped the sweat off my brow. Saving or creating jobs is darn hard work.

I think the whole world should be grateful. What you don't believe me? Think this is a joke?

Oh, it's a joke alright when the White House claims it has saved or created a million jobs. How stupid do they think we are? Wait, Obama was elected without any vetting whatsoever. We know nothing about this man. As far as we know he was immaculately conceived since, like Jesus, he has no birth certificate. I guess if the majority of Americans elected this man they can make the assumption that we are pretty stupid.

OH WELL. If they can lie like fish, so can I. I miscounted, Peggy's working too. So it's 13,477,669.

What a con artist he is.

I wish I could be there

Picking up the Pieces, but things are never the same again

I spent a couple hours picking up the pieces of an accident that happened in front of the Church yesterday. Broken glass, plastic, emblems, engine parts.

A couple large buckets worth. There will be work to return it to a semblance of normality. Oil is spilled. Gouges in the ground. And there is a broken sign and a fallen traffic light.

It seems like there is always a right time to pick up the pieces after a catastrophe. Keeping them and trying to use them again is nearly always a lost cause.

This happens in life. I have friends who are in financial difficulty. Serious difficulty. I am helping them think thru the situation. There will be a crash. There will be debris. Picking up the pieces after won't make it like it was. Life will change.

The same is with our economy in the USA. There will never be a time when it will be like it was. Maybe worse in some ways if your perspective is backward looking, and in less tangible ways, much better.

In marriages, when difficulty hits as it almost always does there will be pain and a time when picking up the pieces will be needed. Start again.

Years from now after there will be small remembrances. Like at the Church. A shard of broken glass. An oil stain. Skid marks. Broken signposts.

Little reminders. Indicators that once a long time ago it was different.

I think sometimes it's best to take the pieces we find, toss them out and start building new.

It won't necessarily be better, just different. And, in the end, that's going to be OK.

By Olufunso J Omidiran

I once read of someone who said ‘The fear of 9/11 is the beginning of wisdom’. This guy was apparently referring to the terrorist attack made by Islamists on America on September 11, 2001. It took the whole world by storm and the devastating effect still lives with us all till today. Unfortunately, this statement does not necessarily reflect the mind of God, even when it seems reasonable, but is at best, a flippant rhetoric of a natural man who is ignorant of God’s purpose for this age.

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: BUT WE WILL REMEMBER the name of the LORD our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright (Psalm 20:7, 8- emphasis added).

Come to think of it, the greatest known powers of this world were literally brought to a standstill by callous fanatics all of a sudden! It was such a phenomenal catastrophe of international magnitude. No one wishes for anymore of such except the remnant of terrorists whose views are always rigid, having been religiously brainwashed and demon possessed. You wonder why a human being can decide to kill fellow humans. There is more to it than meet the eyes. May the Lord open the eyes of this generation and turn them to Himself quickly.

There is a very serious and urgent lesson to be learnt by the western world as well as everyone who may care to hear. Those who refuse to tremble at God’s word will surely tremble before godless terrorists. The main reason why the defence of the loftiest world powers was reduced to ashes is because they have forsaken and rejected their God. They need to learn this lesson fast lest a worse thing happens. May the Lord help us and save us now! Fortunately, the elect people of God seem to have become more vigilant in the spirit since the 9/11 tragedy, but we haven’t done enough.

I feel very sorry for Western powers for they keep making the same mistake, doing the same thing and expecting a different result. For instance, you can see what has become of Great Britain whose Government keeps legislating and standing against God’s law and righteousness; a nation wherein Muslim fundamentalists gradually hold sway and make wave. Unlike their forefathers, Great Britain has refused to assert itself as a Christian nation. They even hate to hear anything that has to do with Jesus because they just don’t want to ‘offend’ non-Christians. They make life difficult for Christians and Christian activities; they do everything to frustrate evangelism and missions. They claim equality without equity; they hope to make peace with an implacable hydra-headed demon that does not desire peace. A battle is already lost when the Lord of Hosts is left out of it. Peace becomes elusive when men reject the Prince of Peace. Jesus is the Healer of the nations. But why do men choose the path of eternal failure?

Some few days ago, I was watching an Al Qaeda spokesman issuing a stern warning to the West saying, ‘Don’t mess with Muslims’. I wonder how comfortable this could be with our Muslim friends if peradventure this guy was indeed speaking on their behalf. But one thing is very clear, the man represents a world of perverted religious beliefs, of hardened fanatics who have been religiously brainwashed and cut out to destroy. They are set against another world̶ of secular God-hating irreligious self-seekers: this is the western world. The former claim to fight on behalf of the Almighty while the latter pretends as if there is no God at all! They are both deluded and ruled by the satanic prince of darkness.

They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that HE DOETH GOD SERVICE (John 16:2-note my emphasis).

What do the religious fanatics stand for? They believe that they are actually doing God service by killing His ‘enemies’ or ‘infidels’. They believe that they will be rewarded for killing, eliminating, plundering, torturing, raping and wasting non-Muslims. They also have a twisted definition of peace. They use every possible means to subdue and ‘convert’ a non-Muslim. They yet use further force and threat to keep all their followers in bondage through stiff laws and capital punishment for anyone that may change his/her view. There is a strong fear and insecurity among Islamists against Christians because our God is still saving men and turning men onto Himself. Hence, there is a relentless war of attrition against Christians by the world of Islam. Sometime ago, a dear friend of mine was to lead a missionary-relief team to war-torn Dafur region of Sudan and they were refused visa by the authorities and prevented from helping the poor people simply because they were Christians.

God has been sending warning signals to the entire world through various natural and unnatural disasters in recent times; we must not take these for granted. We have seen outbreaks of deadly diseases, hurricane, typhoon, tsunami, earthquakes, fire-outbreaks and so forth. Men in their foolishness fear the threats of terrorists who are mere mortals and they refuse to pay attention to God’s warning. The living God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is calling all nations back to Himself; willing to save and grant them true peace. He says ‘Without Me, you can do nothing’ and that is the truth of the matter (John 15:5). Do you know that this is the best time for everyone to repent and acknowledge Jesus the Prince of Peace as Lord? America and other western powers devote much of their budget to defence and security, but they cannot stand without God, the Only True Defence and Refuge. The rulers of the nations must give room for the gospel and allow the truth to thrive. It is the Christians who pray, intercede and move the hand of the Lord to save our nations. How long will the nations give room for Satan and hinder the cause of Christ Jesus? There is no doubt about it; those nations which apparently began with God and now reject Him have removed the ancient landmarks and will suffer for it if they do not heed God’s warning. Shalom.

(Healing unto the Nations)

I arrived at the scene of this accident seconds after it happened

Yesterday at Lord of Life Church a bad accident took place. I was on my way to the nursery. I wanted to stop at the church for a few minutes.

I came up LaFox road and just as I got to the intersection I saw dust, smoke and wrecked vehicles.

It was pretty bad.

The story in the local paper is here.

Why I support Sarah Palin, sound thinking like this

Sarah Palin: Response to the President's Health Care Speech

After all the rhetoric is put aside, one principle ran through President Obama’s speech tonight: that increased government involvement in health care can solve its problems.

Many Americans fundamentally disagree with this idea. We know from long experience that the creation of a massive new bureaucracy will not provide us with “more stability and security,” but just the opposite. It's hard to believe the President when he says that this time he and his team of bureaucrats have finally figured out how to do things right if only we’ll take them at their word.

Our objections to the Democrats’ health care proposals are not mere “bickering” or “games.” They are not an attempt to “score short term political points.” And it’s hard to listen to the President lecture us not to use “scare tactics” when in the next breath he says that “more will die” if his proposals do not pass.

In his speech the President directly responded to concerns I’ve raised about unelected bureaucrats being given power to make decisions affecting life or death health care matters. He called these concerns “bogus,” “irresponsible,” and “a lie” -- so much for civility. After all the name-calling, though, what he did not do is respond to the arguments we’ve made, arguments even some of his own supporters have agreed have merit.

In fact, after promising to “make sure that no government bureaucrat .... gets between you and the health care you need,” the President repeated his call for an Independent Medicare Advisory Council -- an unelected, largely unaccountable group of bureaucrats charged with containing Medicare costs. He did not disavow his own statement that such a group, working outside of “normal political channels,” should guide decisions regarding that “huge driver of cost ... the chronically ill and those toward the end of their lives....” He did not disavow the statements of his health care advisor, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, and continuing to pay his salary with taxpayer dollars proves a commitment to his beliefs. The President can keep making unsupported assertions, but until he directly responds to the arguments I’ve made, I’m going to call him out too.

It was heartening to hear the President finally recognize that tort reform is an important part of any solution. But this concession shouldn’t lead us to take our eye off the ball: the Democrats’ proposals will not reduce costs, and they will not deliver better health care. It’s this kind of “healthy skepticism of government” that truly reflects a “concern and regard for the plight of others.” We can’t wait to hear the details on that; we look forward to working with you on tort reform.

Finally, President Obama delivered an offhand applause line tonight about the cost of the War on Terror. As we approach the anniversary of the September 11th attacks and honor those who died that day and those who have died since in the War on Terror, in order to secure our freedoms, we need to remember their sacrifices and not demonize them as having had too high a price tag.

Remember, Mr. President, elected officials work for the people. Forcing a conclusion in order to claim a “victory” is not healthy for our country. We hear you say government isn’t always the answer; now hear us -- that’s what we’ve been saying all along.

- Sarah Palin

Reaching Unbelievers takes Demonstrations of Power

Modern Atheism

A journalist has written a series of column in our local newspaper explaining why he is an atheist. He does not seem to be virulently anti-Christian. He just believes that Christianity is not very relevant to modern life.

Once people needed God to explain why life exists. The theory of evolution makes this unnecessary. Once people needed help to decide right from wrong, but now people can work out what is good and evil without the help of a god. The journalist concluded that there is just no role left for a god. If his only experience of Christianity is believers with peace (so deep down in their hearts it cannot escape) and hope of heaven, I am not surprised that he has reached this conclusion.

Christians reacted strongly to his arguments, but maybe the problem rests with us. Something is seriously wrong with the church when a reasonable person can just assume that the theory of evolution has made Christianity redundant.

Imagine if he had made the same argument in Jerusalem after the day of Pentecost. When Peter was preaching after in the temple after the man who had been lame from birth was healed (Acts 3), all philosophical arguments seemed to be irrelevant. If someone had called out that evolution made God irrelevant, the response would be obvious. “Can the evolutionary process heal a man who has been lame from birth?”.

Imagine the situation in Samaria.

When the crowds heard Philip and saw the miraculous signs he did, they all paid close attention to what he said. With shrieks, evil spirits came out of many, and many paralytics and cripples were healed. So there was great joy in that city (Acts 8:6-8).
If someone had suggested that humans can now decide right and wrong without help from a god, the crowd would have laughed. Someone would have asked, “Can the people who can distinguish good from evil, get paralytics and cripples restored to full health.

Christianity is currently facing a strong philosophical attack from various atheist groups. The effectiveness of this attack is a sign of our weakness. If the modern church was moving in the power of the Spirit, the arguments of the atheist philosophers would be falling flat.
My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power (1 Cor 2:4).

I need me a real Bible Scholar to Explain this to me:

I have never fought in any of the Bible translation wars. I have many. Use several. Use online Bibles and find them good.

Seldom do I hit something that makes me go HMMMMM.

This did. In the KJV there appears to be a pretty good exemplar for the doctrine of the trinity. Good, solid. 1 John 5:5-8

1 John 5:5-8 (King James Version)

5Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

6This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

7For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

8And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

Then there is the NLT and the NIV. They seem to leave out all that Father Son and Holy Ghost Trinitarian Talk. They explain it away of course, but it makes me go HMMMM.

1 John 5:5-8 (New International Version)

5Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

6This is the one who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 7For there are three that testify: 8thea]">[a] Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.

1. 1 John 5:8 Late manuscripts of the Vulgate testify in heaven: the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one. 8 And there are three that testify on earth: the (not found in any Greek manuscript before the sixteenth century)

1 John 5:5-8 (New Living Translation)

5 And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

6 And Jesus Christ was revealed as God’s Son by his baptism in water and by shedding his blood on the crossa]">[a]—not by water only, but by water and blood. And the Spirit, who is truth, confirms it with his testimony. 7 So we have these three witnessesb]">[b]—8 the Spirit, the water, and the blood—and all three agree.

1. 1 John 5:6 Greek This is he who came by water and blood.
2. 1 John 5:7 A few very late manuscripts add in heaven—the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one. And we have three witnesses on earth.

And then you have a word for word from the original manuscripts. Why are the Father Son and Holy Ghost Trinity passages left out?

1 John 5:5-8 (Young's Literal Translation)

5who is he who is overcoming the world, if not he who is believing that Jesus is the Son of God?

6This one is he who did come through water and blood -- Jesus the Christ, not in the water only, but in the water and the blood; and the Spirit it is that is testifying, because the Spirit is the truth,

7because three are who are testifying [in the heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these -- the three -- are one;

8and three are who are testifying in the earth], the Spirit, and the water, and the blood, and the three are into the one.
So, who is right I wonder and why is this disparate? Anyone? HMMM

And you call yourself a man of GOD??

Or some such iteration?

I get that all the time. I'm on a few forums, blogs, facebook etc. Not many. A few. I make comments. I post on this blog.

Inevitably I get the comment, And you call yourself a Christian, Man of God, Prophet, American, Human Being, Man? etc etc etc....Fill in the blank.

So, what do I call myself? A man of Satan? and or the opposite of the other fifty things I have been accused of falsely calling myself.

Nope, I'm a Man of God and wear the badge proudly.

Get over it. If you are a man or woman of GOD.... BE THAT.

It's OK. Better that than ANY alternative in my opinion.

Maxims of Faith

Here are some basics:
•To be believers, we should know what we believe, and Whom we believe.
•The most basic lesson is that we must take the Word of God at its face value.
•Without knowing God’s will, faith is impossible.
•The Word of God is the eternal will of God.
•To question Scripture is to question the only guide that we have, and to question God.
•The Word of God is an ultimatum, not an option for discussion.
•Democratic vote or consensus does not decide Bible truth. Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven (Psalm 119:89).
•The Bible is the Constitution of the Kingdom of God, and no two-thirds majority of any parliament on earth can change it.

Agreed? Tell me. REINHARD BONNKE

Peggy and I learned to Know each other on the Dance Floor... It worked

A dance teacher told me once that she could see a couple's entire relationship on the dance floor. When someone's toes got stepped on (and they did - we were all beginners) - she could see how how some people blamed their partner, while others apologized and let it go. Some stopped the lessons before they got to be good at it, while others had fun learning and adjusting to how their partners moved.

Every Relationship is a Dance

In the beginning, it can be easy to move to the music with your partner. But over time, things change. Maybe it's a simple misunderstanding, and one of you feels hurt. Perhaps the change comes from something that you've been hoping for -- a child, or a promotion. Or it could come from a major challenge, like an illness or a job loss. Wherever it comes from, something happens, and the music changes. You and your partner step on each others toes. Changes, enjoyable and difficult, are a part of life and of every couple's relationship. But how you handle them makes the difference between a relationship that comes apart...or grows stronger.

Sue Johnson, in her book "Hold Me Tight," says that humans are wired to need emotional connection. Love, she argues, is "the continual search for a basic, secure connection with someone else." Soldiers, she points out, are sent into war with a buddy. Research also shows that cancer patients who join a support group have better survival rates. People in happy marriages are more resistant to illness and are overall more healthy than people in distressed relationships.

Fight or Flight in Relationships

Humans seem to be wired for connection, and we react quickly and deeply to the threat of its loss. Loss of connection with someone we love sends an alarm straight to the amygdala, the so called "fear center" of our brain. Our "fight or flight" response kicks into gear before we are aware of what really happened. Johnson explains that arguments are really protests against this loss, whether it is real or perceived. Whether we get angry (fight) or shut down (flight), she argues, underneath we are really scared.

When things aren't going so well, it helps to take a few minutes to understand what's going on. When you feel angry, are you also sad, lonely, or scared? When you feel like leaving the room, is it the only way you can find to calm things down?

Dance Steps that Build Connection

Here are some steps - some rituals of connection -- that will help you get through those difficult moments:

  • Be honest. Take a moment to sort through your feelings. Let your partner know something about how you feel and what you need.
  • Respond. Recognize that it's often hard to be honest about feelings. When your partner reaches out, take a moment to understand and respond to your partner's mood.
  • Touch. Holding hands, hugging, and kissing build connection. A hand on your partner's arm feels comforting. Sitting on the sofa talking or reading can help you relax together. Take time -- often -- to make physical contact.
  • Build rituals of connection into your daily life. Spend time with each other before you part in the morning, when you come together again in the evening, and before you go to sleep. Find time to share your day with each other, every day. Plan a weekly date, or a quarterly vacation.
Life is full of challenges, changes in the music, which can take a toll on your relationship. But by being responsive to your partner, by learning steps that build connection, you can create a new dance. As I work with couples in my practice, I still think about what my dance teacher said, years ago, about relationships. Those lessons from the dance floor have helped me understand how

This question about the mark of the beast in the hand or forehead -- What think YE? By an Obama Supporter

Coverage under Obamacare will require an implantable microchip?

Lets first say this, I am an Obama supporter 100%.

There's a pretty starling thing in the bill that 95% of Americans won't like.

The Obama Health care bill under Class II (Paragraph 1, Section B) specifically includes ‘‘(ii) a class II device that is implantable." Then on page 1004 it describes what the term "data" means in paragraph 1, section B:

14 ‘‘(B) In this paragraph, the term ‘data’ refers to in15
formation respecting a device described in paragraph (1),
16 including claims data, patient survey data, standardized
17 analytic files that allow for the pooling and analysis of
18 data from disparate data environments, electronic health
19 records, and any other data deemed appropriate by the
20 Secretary"

What exactly is a class II device that is implantable? Lets see...

Approved by the FDA, a class II implantable device is a "implantable radiofrequency
transponder system for patient identification and health information." The purpose of a class II device is to collect data in medical patients such as "claims data, patient survey data, standardized analytic files that allow for the pooling and analysis of data from disparate data environments, electronic health records, and any other data deemed appropriate by the Secretary."

This sort of device would be implanted in the majority of people who opt to become covered by the public health care option. With the reform of the private insurance companies, who charge outrageous rates, many people will switch their coverage to a more affordable insurance plan. This means the number of people who choose the public option will increase. This also means the number of people chipped will be plentiful as well. The adults who choose to have a chip implanted are the lucky (yes, lucky) ones in this case. Children who are "born in the United States who at the time of birth is not otherwise covered under acceptable coverage" will be qualified and placed into the CHIP or Children's Health Insurance Program (what a convenient name). With a name like CHIP it would seem consistent to have the chip implanted into a child. Children conceived by parents who are already covered under the public option will more than likely be implanted with a chip by the consent of the parent. Eventually everyone will be implanted with a chip. And with the price and coverage of the public option being so competitive with the private companies, the private company may not survive.

So will everyone be covered by the public option eventually??????

And does that mean everyone will be chipped?????

Public Schools have Failed, Collapsed, Become Useless... When will we say, ENOUGH

We are doing worse than we ever did before. Not since 1970 have things been this bad.

It's time for change. NO MORE TEACHER UNIONS. Reform Public Education. It no longer works.

They show the level of anger at a failed system. Bush didn't help either.

White House has been simply unprepared to deal with the ferocity of the conservative push-back

ABC's World News on Tuesday night bemoaned the impact of conservatives and citizen journalists in derailing President Barack Obama's agenda. Pivoting from the reaction to Obama's address to students, anchor Charles Gibson observed “today's speech was really the latest target of some conservative groups taking on the President” and “their tactics are having an impact.”

Reporter Dan Harris asserted “the conservative echo chamber is not new, but,” he fretted, “this White House is operating in a vastly accelerated media environment where you no longer need to be in the presence of reporters to make news, as we saw with the health care furor at those town hall meetings.” Journalistic veteran Tom Rosenstiel marveled: “Today you can arrange that protest yourself, photograph it with a hand-held cell phone, and if you can then generate enough views of that video on YouTube, you can make something into national news.” That's because, Harris insisted, “the mainstream media love a good fight, even if the charges are unfounded.”

Though Harris acknowledged “some of the conservative complaints do play into larger concerns” about Obama, he relayed how “critics say the White House has been simply unprepared to deal with the ferocity of the conservative push-back.”

Can this PLEASE be the last nail in the whole Global Warming CO2 Coffin? Please

An MIT Scientist has once again produced a paper that proves once again that once again the whole idea of Global Warming caused by humans who produce CO2 is a crock of, Well, CO2 Producing Excrement.

I hope we can put this all to death once and for all. Show up AlGore for the scam artist he is, forget the toy cars Obama wants us to drive, stop building idiotic windmill farms that despoil the landscape, kill birds and do nothing toward any significant energy production. At least in Denmark they tore down a whole windmill farm to build a Nuclear plant. That’s REAL progress. This should if it would be possible eliminate the whole argument for Cap and Trade and get people off the insane Idea that we can do anything about the climate.

I want clean air, clean water clean land… Especially I want it clean of the abominations that dot the landscapes in the form of windmills. I am in favor of a nice place to live.

Lets Drill where it makes sense, Lets burn coal, let’s produce CHEAP biofuels from Algae, let’s produce wood for fuel, let’s go after shale oil, oil sands, let’s burn the heck out of natural gas. Let’s power the engine of enterprise and get the Van Jones mentality out of our government.

We can do this thing. We can win this battle. We must stop the insanity.

It’s time for no holds barred action. Enough with the stupidity about human caused global warming.

The science is in…. How about it.

Of course, you do understand this will get no play anywhere in the government controlled media. The left will do it’s best to discredit this study. Not with science, with impugning the reputation of the one producing it. That’s how it always works.

I’ve had enough. I want to hear no more about Global Warming I or any one else is responsible. Is the earth’s climate changing. YEP. It will, it has and it will continue. That’s life. That’s what happens. I wear a size 14 shoe. When I was 18 years old, I wore a size 12. Not global warming, not human caused. Change.

Let me hear the sound of one hammer driving a nail into that whole insane idea’s coffin….Please.

AND, I know this will irritate the atheists among you, but I feel like we have all been subject to a grand delusion predicted in the Word of God:
2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

I know it says God sends the delusions, but only to those who refuse to believe the truth, he makes it so ridiculous that only a fool would believe.

We have a lot of fools who do.

When Stupid Speaks

Sorry to call someone stupid, but reading this from Fast Company's blog I was astounded by his ignorance.

You can read the blog here. And read the comments. They cut this dim view off at the knees. As they should.

Here's the money line:

I guess the thing I’m wondering is if the pressure against him was about his statements or actions, or really about opposition to efforts to create green jobs, make buildings more energy efficient, and use more renewable energy.

It’s hard for me to believe that people can be opposed to such a thing. It’s as if someone were to say “I’m opposed to cleaning up the environment and creating jobs for people.” Which is the same as: “I am in favor of pollution, and against jobs and economic growth.”

Jones has been portrayed as a radical of late, as a riot-loving, racist communist. There are probably a few connections or comments in his past that he regrets. But this should not have detracted from his work creating hope for the inner city and for people everywhere with better and cleaner jobs and businesses.

What lies ahead still could be an even greater challenge--solving climate change. There is no lack of people who still loudly claim that climate change is not real, that it is a liberal fabrication. It is not.
It's that kind of thinking that got us into this mess. I hope his tribe decreases.

Gusher of Lies

The whole energy Independence and green energy cabal has reached the pinnacle or stupidity.

Finally people are coming around. They are beginning to understand that it's all silly.

The Conservatives are saying drill here drill now.

The Liberals say, Green energy and More Windmills.

Denmark is tearing down it's windmills. They don't work. Yes they are going to replace them at some point with more modest efficient systems, but in one wise case, they tore them all down to build a brand new mega Nuclear Power plant. Let's do that here.

We don't get it. We think there is a magic bullet. It's magical thinking. The kind that makes people think they can put a pill in the gas tank and get a hundred miles to the gallon.

Sadly, both are wrong. We can drill. But the real cure is real oil from real sources in large quantity. Methane has a future.

So, let's get off the silly car with all it's clowns led by Al Gore and let's get to reality.

Forget most all of the stupid schemes that have crippled innovation. Hybrids. Ethanol. Windmills.

Time to move ahead.

An interesting book is out. Robert Bryce. Gusher of Lies. You can look it over on line. Interesting stuff.

We are being lied to, left and right.

Oh, and there is no real Oil Shortage, just cheap oil.

Gold in a Sucker Move

Gold cracked a thousand. Right now about 1007.

If you had listened to the gold bugs on the radio and TV you'd be poorer now.

It's a sucker bet.

You heard it here first.

Obama's Fall from Heaven

Charles Krauthammer:

After a disastrous summer -- mistaking his mandate, believing his press, centralizing power, governing left, disdaining citizens for (of all things) organizing -- Obama is in trouble. Let's be clear: This is a fall, not a collapse. He's not been repudiated or even defeated. He will likely regroup and pass some version of health insurance reform that will restore some of his clout and popularity.

But what has occurred -- irreversibly -- is this: He's become ordinary. The spell is broken. The charismatic conjurer of 2008 has shed his magic. He's regressed to the mean, tellingly expressed in poll numbers hovering at 50 percent.

For a man who only recently bred a cult, ordinariness is a great burden, and for his acolytes, a crushing disappointment. Obama has become a politician like others. And like other flailing presidents, he will try to salvage a cherished reform -- and his own standing -- with yet another prime-time speech.

But for the first time since election night in Grant Park, he will appear in the most unfamiliar of guises -- mere mortal, a treacherous transformation to which a man of Obama's supreme self-regard may never adapt.

Shameless Democrat Media Drones

Now that White House “Green Jobs Czar” Van Jones has resigned, what’s next?

Inevitably, the American mainstream media – ABC, NBC, CBS, the New York Times, the Washington Post, Time, Newsweek, et al – must be held to account for sitting on the sidelines as this major story kept building without them, went viral on YouTube, and then became so large that a key appointee of President Obama was forced to step down.

But with their decision to ignore the Jones story, they may have actually done Mr. Obama far more harm than good: Who vetted this guy? How did he get past the FBI? What did he say, and how did he answer the infamous seven-page questionnaire that all Obama appointees were required to fill out? Inquiring Freedom of Information Act minds want to know.

For most people in this country, the resignation was the first they had heard of Van Jones. For this sin of journalistic omission, there’s institutional media blame. Bias is too tame a word for the utter shamelessness on display: Only Republican scandals – real and imagined – matter.

And it’s not just those the Democratic-Media Complex dub as “mobs” or “tea baggers” that are taking notice. Diminishing audience and evaporating subscribership reflect widespread consumer dissatisfaction. Eventually, the money will run out. . . . All eyes are on the media. We are judging them by the standard they taught us during Watergate: “The cover-up is worse than the crime.”

Small Town.... Olivia MN....Makes me a little homesick

Jason Bloomer is a big town guy from a small town, a techie working in Olivia MN. His observations about small town Minnesota are funny and poignant for someone who grew up in a town just like that... as I did.
Olivia Minnesota population 2,867

1. Third street is on the edge of town.
2. You dial a wrong number and talk for 15 minutes anyway.
3. You are run off Main Street by a combine.
4. The one-block-long Main Street dead ends in both directions.
5. There's no place to go that you shouldn't.
6. You leave your jacket on the back of the chair in the cafe, and when you go back the next day it's still there, on the same chair.
7. You write a check on the wrong bank and it covers it for you.
8. There are 3 choices of music on the radio; new country, old country and all country.
9. The pickups on Main Street out number the cars three to one.
10. The Ice Cream store has only two flavors, chocolate and vanilla.
11. No social events are scheduled when the school gym floor is being varnished.
12. Hardware, dry goods, groceries, clothing and farm supplies are all sold at the same store.
13. You miss a Sunday at church and receive get-well cards.
14. The only traffic jam's are caused when a farmer drives down Main Street on their tractor.
15. You don't use your turn signal because everyone knows where you're going.
16. You were born on June 13 and your family received gifts from the local merchants because you are the first baby of the year.
17. You can't walk for exercise because every car that passes offers you a ride.
18. You drive into the ditch five miles out of town and the word gets back into town before you do.
19. When a letter is addressed with your first name and the name of the town and nothing else, and it is delivered.
20. You move in and you are no longer a stranger after ten minutes, but you're still a newcomer after twenty years.
21. Your banker will stop and pick up your bank deposit at your home.
22. When your child oversleeps, and the principal of the school goes to your house and wakes them up.
23. The nearest Wal-Mart is 50 miles away.
24. If you tend to lose your car keys, you can leave them in your car.
25. No one cares what you drive, or what you do for a living, as long as it's honest.
26. The internet is finally here!
27. Those sirens that remind you when it's 8am, noon, or 7 pm on the first Monday of the month; or your football team just won state championship, etc., etc., etc...
28. Anonymous bags of sweet corn, tomatoes, potatoes and zucchini are left at your door.
29. You can pay your home off in your lifetime.
30. You can afford car insurance for your teenagers.
31. You can see the stars. All the stars. Even the little ones.
32. People are important. All the people. Even the little ones.

Obama moves official 9/11/2001 remembrance to this weekend

What's next, Christmas??

But nobody was told. 9/11/2009 will be national day of public service.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim Friday, September 4, through Sunday, September 6, as National Days of Prayer and Remembrance. I ask that the people of the United States, each in their own way, honor the victims of September 11, 2001, and their families through prayer, memorial services, the ringing of bells, and evening candlelight remembrance vigils.
Source: White House Proclaimation
The Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act has designated September 11 as a new national day of service and remembrance. But most socialist “service” groups left offf remebrance. This now makes it official for the White House.

The Obama regime and the Socialist Congress of America know they can't win on national security. And 9/11/2001 has been a thorn in their side. They had to get rid of it as a symbol of our need for national security. And it is the biggest step towards that end.

Well Tuned and Ready to Roll, Kinda

Socialized medicine runs like a finely tuned machine.

From John Armstrong

A friend sent me some photos of a local "church battle" that developed in a Missouri town this summer. The local Catholic Church began the battle of the church signs with the first sign. What followed is downright humorous, though the Presbyterians revealed their usual lack of humor as the battle developed.
