How to Spot Potential Heroes
When he saw the baby falling from a third-floor apartment, all Stephen St. Bernard thought was, "Maybe I can catch her." He sprinted over, and the child hit him with an
If only there were more areas that he felt the government shouldn’t “meddle” in.
The year was 2003 and President Barack Obama, then a seasoned state congressman, was running for the U.S. Senate in Illinois. A reporter can be heard asking him about his stance on abortion during a press conference in Springfield, Ill., and the future president of the United States provides an honest answer..
“I am pro-choice,” a younger Barack Obama replies.
“In all situations, including the late-term thing?” a reporter asks.
“I am pro-choice. I believe that women make responsible choices and they know better than anybody the tragedy of a difficult pregnancy and I don’t think that it’s the government’s role to meddle in that choice.”
Romenycare has failed in Massachusetts just like Obamacare will fail in the USA. Romney has apologized. Obama has not. This is death by government as surely as a bullet in the back of the head...which apparently they are centrally planning as well. OK, that is hyperbole..for now

As national policymakers watch, let's hope they see Massachusetts's approach for what it is -- the antithesis, not the model, of genuine reform.

I'm sure this is true. NONE of my black conservative friends anywhere are even considering voting for Romney. (now turning my sarcasm font off). And people wonder why we doubt the accuracy of polls.
Romney Pulling In ZERO Percent Of Black Voters
Take a guess as to what percentage of black voters Mitt Romney is winning this election. Now take whatever number you've got in your head and go lower.

Delayed Development: 20-Somethings Blame the Brain - WSJ.com
I know some 20 somethings that are in this state of not yet full formation. This is comforting:
Many parents of 20-somethings worry that their offspring haven't yet found a career path, gotten married or become financially independent.
These parents should chill out, experts say.
"Until very recently, we had to make some pretty important life decisions about education and career paths, who to marry and whether to go into the military at a time when parts of our brains weren't optimal yet," says neuroscientist Jay Giedd at the National Institute of Mental Health, whose brain-imaging studies of thousands of young people have yielded many of the new insights. Postponing those decisions makes sense biologically, he says. "It's a good thing that the 20s are becoming a time for self-discovery."

Recent research into how the brain develops suggests that people are better equipped to make major life decisions in their late 20s than earlier in the decade. The brain, once thought to be fully grown after puberty, is still evolving into its adult shape well into a person's third decade, pruning away unused connections and strengthening those that remain, scientists say.

I apologize for the following language but we have to understand the truth that is not being told any longer. The following quotes are LBJ quotes after he implemented the Great Society War on Poverty which ended up being a war on Family:
“I’ll have those niggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years.” —Lyndon B. Johnson to two governors on Air Force One -
“These Negroes, they’re getting pretty uppity these days and that’s a problem for us since they’ve got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we’ve got to do something about this, we’ve got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference.”—LBJ

Each number on the dial corresponds to a 7-year period of your life. By taking a standard clock mechanism and slowing it to 1/61320th of the speed of a standard timepiece, artist Betrand Planes’ Life Clock is able to tell time over an 84 year period before it makes one full rotation around the dial.
If you manage to live through a full 360-degree sweep of the year hand, you’re doing pretty darned well.
RIP Donald Cole
He hadn't been on the air for a while. Parkinsons. While he was I listened often. He was my only sane bridge to what I saw as backslidden lukewarm evangelicalism. Moody was unlistenable for me except for him and a few other things. What appealed was not his theology, we disagreed many times, but his unfailing grace, mercy and love. Little kids would call the program with simple questions and he was so kind. I learned a lot about tolerance of ignorance from him. He would answer some of the most outrageous questions with grace in a way I don't think I could. With him gone I have less and less contact with that world. No longer listen to Moody radio at all. We lost a good one.

I have been concerned about this...more than you know
Our government has just purchased ten times the bullets used in the Iraq war.
They are giving them to FEMA, Homeland Security, IRS, Social Security and the Weather Bureau.
There have been jokes but I don't think this is funny. Something is seriously wrong. What if:
I'm not predicting this. I am aware of the threat government is.

There have been jokes but I don't think this is funny. Something is seriously wrong. What if:
- Everyone had to take a mark or die
- Every person in the whole of the USA had to give up their guns, all guns and ammo or die
- Every person identified by outspoken opinions as an enemy of the state dies (that would be people critical of government) I'm marked on this
- Every Person who has wealth that needs to be taken will either give it up or die
- Every Person who does not give up and move into close quarters, camps or cities die
I'm not predicting this. I am aware of the threat government is.
