Maybe it might be a good idea to see what people are thinking about and start talking about that in Church. Maybe a few folks would show up?? Ya Think??

I was in a local 7-11 today in Geneva. Had to get my 44 Oz big gulp of Diet Coke. A guilty occasional pleasure so don't hassle me about Aspartame, OK? I just had my physical on the event of 7 decades, clean clean bill of health. Not because of clean living, just good genes. But that's not the point to this story:

There was a cop there, some radical "so called christian", an unbeliever behind the counter and they were arguing "religion". It was astounding in it's ignorance.

They were arguing about the origin of evil in the world. Pretty animated. One said that Gabriel was a fallen angel and that was the problem. Another said, NOOO it was Michael who used to be an archangel. Then another said it was original sin. Then another said that it was the devil which brought us back to who that fallen angel was. I decided to step and and said it was Lucifer, one of the combatant who had seen enough TV said, well that was his name after Gabriel fell, name change or something. They all had all the wrong answers. It does say something about what we spend time on in Churches. 5 ways to live a better life. Sin Consciousness (my pet peeve), yadda yadda. Yet on the street they are discussing the root of evil, murder and war on the earth. We don't have any idea at all of the culture when we preach. We are talking about the greatness of apples, and they are wondering about oranges.

I have been hard on the "Church" but today I saw today how far from center the plum-line of sound theology can be without her. I won't even tell you what they were arguing about.. it was inane. I think for a well studied grounded believer I might excuse escaping the organization, but until you have a couple of decades of study, prayer, teaching, exhortation and encouragement to grow (that kind of thing happens, or is supposed to happen) in the Church, SHOW UP!!!

I don't know if any of these "Street Theologians" have ever darkened the door, but they need to. So much of what is accepted as biblical teaching today comes from the History Channel (and others). The "Truth about Jesus" programs and other such that they air. Sensationalist garbage. These couch potatoes are sedentary not only in body but in the head. OK, drag these dopes to church and lets start dealing with the false religion that the TV teaches. No wonder so many will be deceived, they have a big box in their living room doing the devils work. Very Sad

Bush's fault

Linda Burnett, 23, a resident of San Diego, was visiting her in-laws and while there went to a nearby supermarket to pick up some groceries. Later, her husband noticed her sitting in her car in the driveway with the windows rolled up and with her eyes closed, with both hands behind the back of her head. He became concerned and walked over to the car. He noticed that Linda's eyes were now open and she looked very strange. He asked her if she was okay, and Linda replied that she had been shot in the back of the head and had been holding her brains in for over an hour.

The husband called the paramedics, who broke into the car because the doors were locked and Linda refused to remove her hands from her head. When they finally got in, they found that Linda had a wad of bread dough on the back of her head.

A Pillsbury biscuit canister had exploded from the heat, making a loud noise that sounded like a gunshot, and the wad of dough hit her in the back of her head. When she reached back to find out what it was, she felt the dough and thought it was her brains. She initially passed out, but quickly recovered.

Linda is a blonde, a Democrat, and an Obama supporter, but that could all be a coincidence.
The defective biscuit canister was analyzed and the expiration date was from 2008, so it was determined to be Bush's fault.

Real Talk About Israel Prime Minister Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu Speech to Congress

Now that everyone has a night's sleep, now that the fog of emotion has settled, now that we all have taken a long deep breath it's time to take a look at the lead up to and the event that happened yesterday.

To say it was an important Speech is understatement.  To say that it was the most important speech given in that chamber is overstatement.

You have to figure out who had skin in the game and why they acted or reacted as they did.

President Obama who didn't even watch the speech (he said) has been actively trying to get Bibi out of office.   Right now there are over 300 on the ground political operatives in Israel working hard to sway the outcome of the election being held a few days from now.  They are from the Obama political machine.  Remember, the one thing he does best is campaigning, apparently not just in the USA.  So this speech gave Bibi credibility that pushes back on all the work his team has done in the past several weeks to change the outcome of the election.  Obama has skin in the game.

Christians who believe that every headline that shows up on Fox news is somehow a harbinger of things to come, blood moons and all that have skin in the game.  They believe there is some indication of the end of all things, rapture and such in this speech and the reaction to it.

Christians who do not see Israel as the historic prophetic land given by God and now occupied by his chosen people have skin in the game.  Every time something like this happens they seem to be compelled to turn up the heat about who the chosen of God are, who is true Israel.  Who are the inheritors of the promise.  This event rubs the theology the wrong way, like going backwards in petting a cat and it stirs them up.  They don't want to appear anti Semitic so they resort to the word Zionist and Zionism to illustrate their rejection of Israels position in the world.

The idea that supporting Israel makes you a better christian gives you skin in the game, so you support Israel. The idea that seeing the historical and eschatological reality of what Israel really is and who she is makes you a better christian gives you skin in the game.

Here's a flash.  Both are presumptuous and wrong.  It's a matter of who's Ox is being gored.

The right wing, some of whom are christian and Jews, go all apoplectic over this kind of thing.  Partly because of leadership that Netanyahu demonstrated is lacking in the USA and partly because of the slap in Obama's face this represented.  They had skin in the game.

The left wing, some of whom are christian and Jews, had a tough line to walk.  In part they support Israel as loyal Americans.  The issue gets to be the support that is lacking from the titular head of the party.  So they had to make a choice.  Party allegiance or principled support for a strategic middle eastern ally and it's prime minister.  53 chose party over principle.  They lost the most in this.  Along with the president and the secretary of state they chose to abstain.  They were therefore outed as what they are. Cowards. They had skin in the game and got skinned.  What credibility they had was sacrificed on the altar they have built to flawed political leadership.

So who won and who lost in this?  If some people got skinned and some gained a thicker skin and hopefully a tiny infusion of backbone, who won the day?

It's easy to define the losers:

President Obama being shown for the petulant insecure person he really always has been.  The 53 cowardly people who followed Obama's lead slavishly lost credibility and respect of the American People.  It will come back to haunt them.

Speaker Boehner for giving in on funding DHS without any address to immigration et al only hours before the speech.

Iran for finding themselves isolated by the unifying focus of purpose outlined in this speech, particularly the line, "the enemy of my enemy can still be my enemy".

Secretary John Kerry who was trying to work something out with Iran during the speech and was summarily slapped down, they rejected even the offer that Netanyahu was so critical of.

AND Radical Islam.  IF you are a member of ISIS, Hezbollah, Hamas or a hundred other groups who really fear the stirring of the global giant.. they liked us better asleep.   We are awake.

So who won?  That list is clear.

The American people.  They now see things in a better light than they did a day ago.  Life seems more hopeful.  Contrasts were shown.  Light shining in a murky place helped clear up those who were on the fence.

Many Democrats won yesterday.  They know now it's OK to say that the king has no clothes.  They didn't sleep well, but they now are ready to become their own man or woman.

Bipartisanship won.  The fact that support for Israel was demonstrated real said much for who we are as a nation.  The wind is blowing, and they can tell which way.  This blew away the fog so they could see clearly.

Freedom won.  Israel is important, but the global conflict, World War 3 was seen for what it is and the belligerents on both sides were identified clearly.

Republicans won, not because of any victory but because they now can see clearly the changes that will need to be made.  The insurgency inside the party gained strength.

The final "winners" are the anti semites.  They now can come out from under the rock and call for death to Israel.   They have been exposed. Mark them well.

If you love light, you loved what happened yesterday.  When a light shines in the darkness, darkness flees.  Happens every time it's tried.  It did again.

This is troubling to me

"I don't believe people should be allowed to own guns," Barack Hussein Obama to gun rights author and scholar John Lott.

1. In a 1998 questionnaire for the Illinois state legislature, Obama said he wanted to “ban the sale or transfer of all sorts of semi-automatic weapons.”

2. From 1998-2001 Obama was on the board of the Joyce Foundation, the “major funder for gun-control research” at that time.

3. Obama opposes concealed carry and always has (every state but Illinois disagrees with him).

4. Obama only sees two “legitimate” purposes for guns: “hunting and target shooting.” This means using guns for self defense is not legitimate. And this goes a long way in explaining Obama’s past support of laws banning the use of guns for self-defense in Illinois, even in one’s own home.

I guess he's got his priorities straight. Here's Obama's latest jab at Netanyahu.…/big-diss-obama-cant-find-time-to-w…/ 'I guess he's got his priorities straight. Here's Obama's latest jab at Netanyahu.'

A Muslim ISIS-supporter beheaded a woman in OKC just months ago

Remember when we used to have "Nazi Day" celebrations back in the 1940s? Yeah, me neither. OH, you say, Islam is a religion? OK. So was Hitler Worship. Except Hitler was alive.. Mohammed is dead. Both promote elimination of Jews and world dominance thru brute force.. Other than that there's hardly any similarity.. right?

Lois Lerner sent out this email on June 29, 2011 just three weeks after the House Ways and Means Committee asked the tax agency was targeting conservatives.

Bill Clinton was impeached for Lying to Congress. Lois Lerner just got a $150,000 bonus. Isn't there something WRONG with this picture? When did we begin sanctioning corruption in this nation?

Minnesota Muslim Congressman: Obama is “An Amazing Patriot and One of the Best Presidents our Country will ever have Seen”

Do you believe Muslims are deceived?

Check out these 25 mugshots of people with the most ridiculous facial tattoos

What I want to know is why is there no culpability on the tattooers. If a bartender can be prosecuted for giving too many drinks to a drunk why not one who tattoos others for a living.

In a horrific attack on a public street, an American blogger and his wife were dragged from their bicycle rickshaw and hacked repeatedly with machetes

Having views: contrary with the existing power structure will get you killed in Bangladesh and Russia but not in the USA ...... but wait

Buggy Whips

We don't have enough qualified people to hold down technical jobs in STATE GOVERNMENT so we bring them in from overseas. Do you see anything wrong with this picture?? I do. Our education system is so busy indoctrinating, it isn't training people to work. It's like it's 1900 and educational systems are making sure people understand the buggy whip when what is needed is to fill jobs in the emerging horseless carriage industry. Five years later thousands of CARS were rolling off assembly lines while people were standing in line to fill that last buggy whip job in America.
Controversial foreign worker visa program, H-1B, is used heavily by state agencies and their private contractors.

Getting out of Dodge

Chicago is to Illinois as California is to the rest of the country. Unemployment is 13%. Too many tax takers, fewer and fewer tax payers. Housing has become impossible. $700,000 for a shack. People are renting rather than buying and they are voting with their feet. Moving out. All that will be left will be people saying gimmie gimmie gimmie and it will collapse.
The chart below is where they are going.…/

First the Liberals discovered what a rip off Obama Care is.. now those same liberals are beginning to see what a disaster the Obamanet is.

They call the White House, the same White House who loved the support they got from tech folks in 2008 and 12 and now are giving them the middle finger.

When Google’s Eric Schmidt called White House officials a few weeks ago to oppose President Obama ’s demand that the Internet be regulated as a utility, they told him to buzz off. The chairman of the company that led lobbying for “net neutrality” learned the Obama plan made in its name instead micromanages the Internet.

Mr. Schmidt is not the only liberal mugged by the reality of Obamanet, approved on party lines last week by the Federal Communications Commission. The 300-plus pages of regulations remain secret, but as details leak out, liberals have joined the opposition to ending the Internet as we know it.
The Progressive Policy Institute said: “There is nothing progressive about the FCC backsliding to common carrier rules dating back to the 1930s.” The Internet Society, a net-neutrality advocate, said: “We are concerned with the FCC’s decision to base new rules for the modern Internet on decades-old telephone regulations designed for a very different technological era.” Former Clinton official Larry Irving wrote in the Hill: “Most of today’s proponents of a utility model for the Internet either have forgotten or never knew the genesis of the ‘regulatory restraint’ model that helped spur and continues to support Internet expansion.”…/gordon-crovitz-liberals-mugged-by-obam…

I watched this last night.

At first I was appalled. Then the plot thickened. It seemed to me that the short selling Lawyer investor was driving this. AND the Lab that did the analysis was not using the same protocol as the requirements. Something stunk about this. THEN when I saw the interview with China... again.. red flags. I am not a supporter of LL. Don't know anything about them. I do know slash and burn journalism. This seems to be that.

60 Minutes found that Lumber Liquidators' Chinese-made laminate flooring contains amounts of toxic formaldehyde that may not meet health and safety standards....

Tears for Fear

I have a good friend who is a rabid liberal, left of left, union guy, who thought BHO walked not only on water but on air. NOW... 6 years into it, he's not convinced any more. His daughter cannot get any kind of health insurance. The whole Obamacare fiasco has left her in the cold. This is accelerating and IF the supreme court guts and destroys the whole mess, he as one liberal won't cry one tear.
