I'm getting a ticket out

I don't know why it sticks in my craw.

If Jason Collins, Gay Basketball player wants to be gay, I can do nothing about that. If one of the senators had invited him to the State of the Union infomercial I guess that would be OK. I mean Willie Robinson (Duck Dynasty) was there invited by a member of congress.

What I don't get is this, why does the Obama administration keep pushing the homosexual agenda in my face? Who thought this was a good idea? Does the sodomy agenda really require help? ...seems like it's doing pretty well without a paid political product placement like Jason Collins.

at least in our house it's true

Our Government inaction

Why I decided to pass on attending the Superbowl this year

I heard he likes them roasted...

My name taken in vain.

I mentioned that a big contract for mediation was coming up in California. Well it's off again. The other side in the dispute was the Southern California Electric Company. They had lined up several forensic experts in opposition to the plaintiff's case. The plaintiff had only one. Then they engaged me. My CV was presented to the other side. I was scheduled to fly out to CA to meet with both sides to present a proper case. AND SUDDENLY SCEC settles. Decides they can't win. Writes a big check. AND Mr Gene gets squat. I'm not bitter...but... a big check would have been great. I hate when that happens.

“Any hooker that can walk will be in Manhattan’’ during the Super Bowl,

“Any hooker that can walk will be in Manhattan’’ during the Super Bowl, a police source told The Post.

You knew this, right?

It’s the Oprah god

Ouch! Check out this article "How to Raise a Pagan Kid in a Christian Home." It quotes Phil Vischer, the creator of Veggie Tales. He says, "We’re drinking a cocktail that’s a mix of the Protestant work ethic, the American dream, and the gospel. And we’ve intertwined them so completely that we can’t tell them apart anymore. Our gospel has become a gospel of following your dreams and being good so God will make all your dreams come true. It’s the Oprah god.”

Your thoughts?

The article is short. Read the whole thing here: http://ow.ly/t8fDo

Walk like a duck.

Growing up in NODAK we all learned what it took to navigate slick icy sidewalks and parking lots. The key to doing that was to walk like a duck. Next time you have to walk on very icy surfaces.... walk like a duck. Broken hips never really heal.

A Timeline Showing the Deterioration of Major Industries Following a Truck Stoppage

The first 24 hours

• Delivery of medical supplies to the affected area will cease.
• Hospitals will run out of basic supplies such as syringes and catheters within hours. Radiopharmaceuticals will deteriorate and become unusable.
• Service stations will begin to run out of fuel.
• Manufacturers using just-in-time manufacturing will develop component shortages.
• U.S. mail and other package delivery will cease.

Within one day

• Food shortages will begin to develop.
• Automobile fuel availability and delivery will dwindle, leading to skyrocketing prices and long lines at the gas pumps.
• Without manufacturing components and trucks for product delivery,
assembly lines will shut down, putting thousands out of work.

Within two to three days

• Food shortages will escalate, especially in the face of hoarding and consumer panic.
• Supplies of essentials—such as bottled water, powdered milk, and
canned meat—at major retailers will disappear.
• ATMs will run out of cash and banks will be unable to process
transactions.
• Service stations will completely run out of fuel for autos and trucks.
• Garbage will start piling up in urban and suburban areas.
• Container ships will sit idle in ports and rail transport will be disrupted, eventually coming to a standstill.

Within a week

• Automobile travel will cease due to the lack of fuel. Without autos and busses, many people will not be able to get to work, shop for groceries, or access medical care.
• Hospitals will begin to exhaust oxygen supplies.

Within two weeks

• The nation’s clean water supply will begin to run dry.

Within four weeks

• The nation will exhaust its clean water supply and water will be safe for drinking only after boiling. As a result gastrointestinal illnesses will increase, further taxing an already weakened health care system.

This timeline presents only the primary effects of a freeze on truck travel. Secondary effects must be considered as well, such as inability to maintain telecommunications service, reduced law enforcement, increased crime, increased illness and injury, higher death rates, and likely, civil unrest.

Just keeping things straight

7 Year Old Hood Kid Gone Wild!

BAAL PRIESTS

I was in a church service recently where the noise of the worship of the leader went over the top. It reminded me of what it must have been like as the priests of BAAL tried to call down fire from heaven. Yelling, screaming, stomping and hollering. I am as pentecostal as you can get but sometimes trying to gin up the Holy Ghost becomes a priest of Baal exercise. Fortunately the senior leader stepped in and redirected the meeting toward an encounter with the presence of God. Not all noise is Holy... some is... knowing which is which makes all the difference. Just because the worship leader calls for everyone to shout doesn't mean we should.

Funny!

Now I'm Hungry

Breakfast Tacos! What a great invention.

Es leche compadre.

I don't know what this means, but if I get this right, I need to go to that great mission field, Cedar Rapids IA.

Can't let a little snow keep us from church!!!

Seven Big Lies Obama Told In His State Of The Union Speech

You might think Obama might get into trouble for all these lies, but you’d be wrong – he’s a Democrat, remember? The media will barely mention these, or just ignore them all together. And for Americans who are too busy trying to get ahead in this terrible economy, tuning into The State of the Union address allows the president to solidify these misleading talking points in people’s minds.

I endorse these principles.

IF you want to succeed in business at any level, there are things you have to know what and how to do and be.  Too many people try to get into a business they do not nor can not understand.

20 Lessons Of Mastery Learned From Robert Greene

1 - Understand who you truly are, and what kind of vocation or career you feel called to do.

2 - Commit to an apprenticeship, in which you undergo years of humble observation, skill acquisition, and experimentation.

3 - Revert to a feeling of inferiority, and possess and deep humility and eagerness to learn from others.

4 - Move toward resistance and pain, let go of need for comfort/security, and cross the threshold past the initial tedious stages of learning.

5 - After apprenticeship phase, you must become bold, confident, and willing to test out skills and make connections between different ideas.

6 - Learn to embrace criticism and failure, and be grateful for the opportunity to learn and improve as a result of your mistakes.

7 - Understand that there is an emotional component, not intellectual, that separates the true masters from others.

8 - Develop your social intelligence, and your ability to empathetically put yourself in another person’s shoes and see/understand things from his or her perspective.

9 - Move past the habitual tendency to judge others or idealize/demonize them, and simply observe them rather than projecting your own thoughts, emotions, or insecurities onto them.

10 - You must be wary of many peoples’ tendencies to display certain vices that could hinder your progress, such as: envy, conformism, rigidity, self-obsessiveness, laziness, flightiness, and passive aggression.

11 - Learn to speak through your work, and to win others to your side of thinking by being patient and letting what you have done speak for itself.

12 - Try to see yourself as other see you, so that you can remain emotionally detached and try to improve upon your flaws and shortcomings.

13 - Suffer fools gladly, and don’t take criticism seriously or personally from people who don’t know what they’re talking about.

14 - Return to your childlike sense of wonder and endless curiosity about all things in order to stimulate your creative energy.

15 - Drop all preconceived notions about he world, and utilize the power of your imagination to the fullest.

16 - Always be open and receptive to new ideas that challenge conventionality, and don’t be afraid of thinking something that is unpopular.

17 - Love learning for its own sake, and connect a wide array of ideas from different fields of study and disciplines.

18 - Maintain a sense of destiny/purpose and feel consciously connected to it.

19 - Qualities that will help you succeed: Self-discipline, desire, persistence, focus, effort, patience, energy, obsessiveness, observance, confidence, trust in self, emotional commitment, humility, adaptability, boldness, openness.

20 - Qualities that hinder your success: Complacency, conservatism, dependency, impatience, grandiosity, inflexibility, distractibility, becoming egotistical, close-mindedness.

Weather Report

This is true. I never buy anything that says LOW FAT...

Here are 7 ways a wife injures her husband (without even knowing it):

1. Put him down in front of other people. Most men will not counter this type of humiliation in public…if ever. They will simply take it…and hurt. If they do eventually address it will be out of stored up resentment…maybe anger…and it won’t be pretty.
2. Go behind him when he tries to do something at home. Always show him how much better you can do things than he can do them. He will appreciate that. When he fixes the bed…make sure you show him the “correct way” immediately after he finishes. He will be reminded he doesn’t measure up to your standards.
3. Constantly badger him. If he doesn’t do what you want him to do …remind him. Again and again (Because that accomplishes what you want it to do).
4. Use the “you always” phrase … excessively. Because he “always” does and, best news yet, it helps build him into a man that always will.
5. Hold him responsible for your emotional wellbeing. He’s the reason you feel bad today and every other day you feel bad. So, make sure he knows it’s his fault. And, you don’t have to tell him. Subtly, just be in a bad mood towards him, without releasing him from guilt. He’ll take the hint and own the responsibility. He will think it’s his fault even if it’s not.
6. Complain about what you don’t have or get to do. He has a desire to fix things. He wants to be a provider. Every man does. Some attempt to live it out and some don’t. But, when he’s trying, doing the best he can and yet he feels he isn’t measuring up, he’s crushed. When you are always commenting on what other women have that you don’t, he carries the blame, even if you’re not intending it to be his.
7. Don’t appreciate his efforts. Want to injure a man? Refuse to appreciate the things he feels he does well. It could be work, a hobby or a trait, but he feels part of his identity in the things he does. When you don’t find them as “valuable” as he does, his ego is bruised.

A Nurse Reveals The Top 5 Regrets People Make On Their Deathbed

I face the reality of my personal mortality and take this to heart.

death-bed

The Nurse Writes:

For many years I worked in palliative care. My patients were those who had gone home to die. Some incredibly special times were shared. I was with them for the last three to twelve weeks of their lives. People grow a lot when they are faced with their own mortality.

I learnt never to underestimate someone’s capacity for growth. Some changes were phenomenal. Each experienced a variety of emotions, as expected, denial, fear, anger, remorse, more denial and eventually acceptance. Every single patient found their peace before they departed though, every one of them.

When questioned about any regrets they had or anything they would do differently, common themes surfaced again and again. Here are the most common five:

1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.  This was the most common regret of all. When people realize that their life is almost over and look back clearly on it, it is easy to see how many dreams have gone unfulfilled. Most people had not honoured even a half of their dreams and had to die knowing that it was due to choices they had made, or not made.

It is very important to try and honour at least some of your dreams along the way. From the moment that you lose your health, it is too late. Health brings a freedom very few realise, until they no longer have it.

2. I wish I didn’t work so hard.  This came from every male patient that I nursed. They missed their children’s youth and their partner’s companionship. Women also spoke of this regret. But as most were from an older generation, many of the female patients had not been breadwinners. All of the men I nursed deeply regretted spending so much of their lives on the treadmill of a work existence.
By simplifying your lifestyle and making conscious choices along the way, it is possible to not need the income that you think you do. And by creating more space in your life, you become happier and more open to new opportunities, ones more suited to your new lifestyle.

3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.  Many people suppressed their feelings in order to keep peace with others. As a result, they settled for a mediocre existence and never became who they were truly capable of becoming. Many developed illnesses relating to the bitterness and resentment they carried as a result.

We cannot control the reactions of others. However, although people may initially react when you change the way you are by speaking honestly, in the end it raises the relationship to a whole new and healthier level. Either that or it releases the unhealthy relationship from your life. Either way, you win.

4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends. Often they would not truly realise the full benefits of old friends until their dying weeks and it was not always possible to track them down. Many had become so caught up in their own lives that they had let golden friendships slip by over the years. There were many deep regrets about not giving friendships the time and effort that they deserved. Everyone misses their friends when they are dying.

It is common for anyone in a busy lifestyle to let friendships slip. But when you are faced with your approaching death, the physical details of life fall away. People do want to get their financial affairs in order if possible. But it is not money or status that holds the true importance for them. They want to get things in order more for the benefit of those they love. Usually though, they are too ill and weary to ever manage this task. It is all comes down to love and relationships in the end. That is all that remains in the final weeks, love and relationships.

5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.  This is a surprisingly common one. Many did not realise until the end that happiness is a choice. They had stayed stuck in old patterns and habits. The so-called ‘comfort’ of familiarity overflowed into their emotions, as well as their physical lives. Fear of change had them pretending to others, and to their selves, that they were content. When deep within, they longed to laugh properly and have silliness in their life again. When you are on your deathbed, what  others think of you is a long way from your mind. How wonderful to be able to let go and smile again, long before you are dying.

Life is a choice. It is YOUR life. Choose consciously, choose wisely, choose honestly. Choose happiness.

Why isn't this guy in jail?

Not unusual at all 100 years ago in Dakota.

YOU GO CHOP DOG?

IF you ever wanted to design your own house... you certainly will want to see this.

This is hilarious, those big houses you see that are overpriced and really ugly is parodied in this piece. When you call it up, put your cursor over the points on the picture and it will tell you how offensively ugly they are. LOL

Public education is the enemy of our children.

Who controls public education? Democrats. Unions. Corrupt politicians. Stop complaining about school closings and begin to open schools that work.
If Only 10% of 8th-Grade Black Boys in America Can Read Proficiently, Why Are Schools Across America Closed on Dr. Martin Luther King's Birthday?

2011 Reading Levels of 8th-Grade

City\Percentage of 8th-Grade Black Males Proficient in Reading*
Milwaukee - 3%
Cleveland - 3%
Detroit - 5%
Washington (D.C.) - 6%
San Diego - 7%
Dallas - 7%
Baltimore City - 7%
Chicago - 9%
Jefferson County, (KY) - 9%

New York City - 13%

Only 10% of 8th-grade Black males in the United States read at or above a proficient level.* For those of us who are math challenged, that means, on average, that if you count any 10 Black males in your city, only one of them reads at a proficient level. If you count 100, only 10 of them read at a proficient level. In Milwaukee and Cleveland, only 3 out of 100 young Black men read at or above a proficient level. With statistics like this, why are the schools closed on Dr. King's birthday?

I get emails from these libs every single day who can't wait to vote for Hilary - another way out left winger. They just cannot and do not learn. Ever. We're being spent into oblivion; over-regulated

Should be exciting

Since I expect the State of the Union address to be as stimulating as watching grass grow... maybe I'll skip Tuesday night and get one of these.. seed it and watch it grow.

Five of the ten planks of the Marxist manifesto as implemented by our current government are already in place.

For a laugh but some of you know your sink vanities look exactly like this now-LOL

This is most interesting

Interesting infobit about the Seahawks, from a Reuters article: "Of the 53 players on the roster for Seattle's 23-17 win over West Coast rivals the San Francisco 49ers that put them into the Super Bowl, 21 entered the National Football league as undrafted free agents and 16 were drafted after the third round."

Guns are dangerous.

Gun control laws do not control crime because crimes are not committed by guns; they’re committed by criminals. Criminals will always have guns because they do not obey laws including anti-gun laws. Those without guns are easy prey for criminals with guns. Gun control encourages crime.
The right to bear arms was included in the Bill of Rights not to deter crime, but to deter oppressive government. Just governments honor and protect the right to bear arms. Oppressive governments fear and prohibit the right to bear arms. Guns are dangerous. The only thing more dangerous is not having them.

You cannot impart what you don't possess.

We know this is true spiritually, We know that a person who doesn't have a higher dimension cannot bring us higher. YET.. in education, in mentoring, in training we accept inferior inexperienced instruction based on some managed credential. I see so many people being trained in things by people without the background nor understanding to help them move ahead.

You will emulate those who you believe have trained you in what they know. IF they are NOT demonstrating sustained success in the thing they are training, mentoring, teaching you; you will not be elevated by them.

Be careful who you allow your future to be formed by. Not every teacher, trainer or mentor I have had in life was worth my time. Some wasted it. This from a man who has nearly 3 score and ten.... and has earned the right to make this observation.

Senior citizens are the nation's leading carriers of AIDS - hearing aids, band-aids, Rolaids, walking aids, medical aids, government aids but most of all monetary aids to their kids!

Did you ever notice that when you put the two words THE and IRS together it spells THEIRS?

This is the root of our cultural drift. Feminism has destroyed the role of women in household formation.

This is insanity.

Open the floodgates... remember those jobs you'll were hoping to get....? Fuggidaboudit. Stand in the unemployment line. The administration has once again demonstrated it's hatred for those at the bottom of the economic ladder.

State of the Union Preview or NOT

Fasten your seat belts on Tuesday night. It is time for the good news about "The State of Our Union". You will be taken on a flight into the land of "O". There will be much said about an agenda to fulfill "Hope and Change". But what you will not be hearing is perhaps more important than what you will be asked to believe. You will hear nothing about the seven trillion dollars of debt added to the ten trillion that ALL other presidents donated before. You will not hear about the massive increase in the number of people receiving food stamps (50 million). You will not hear that as a result of ACA... we have more people without health care coverage today than before the annexation of one sixth of our economy into ACA. You will not hear about the proposed bail out (with tax payer money) of the insurance companies to keep ACA alive. You will not hear about 92 million Americans not working. You will also not hear about Benghazi, IRS, Fast and Furious, NSA, AP and all of the other "phony" crises "created by the GOP".....but "O" was going to get to the bottom of all of these things.....right???...well at least not before he dismissed them all as "phony". You will not hear that we "backed the wrong horse" in Egypt and that we allowed the Russians to be the peace brokers in Syria....effectively shutting us out of the Middle East. You will not hear that because "O" pulled ALL U.S. military out of Iraq....Al Qaeda is taking over in that country.....and never mind U.S. blood spilled there. And you will not hear that Iran (who has been behind many of our service people dying in Iraq and Afghanistan) has been emboldened in producing a Nuke by the lifting of sanctions.....negotiated by Kerry. What you will hear ...is that "O" will once again give you assurances and promises.... as he did with keeping your insurance and your doctor....and he will expect you to believe him......period.

When a present NY governor says conservatives are not welcomed in his state, we get crickets from the media.

January 26th - When a present NY governor says conservatives are not welcomed in his state, we get crickets from the media. But when an ex-Arkansas governor states that Dems treat women as “helpless” without govt.-provided birth control, we get wall-to-wall outrage! Trivial distractions like the faux “war on women” explain why our debt crisis is never addressed, our schools are never improved and our healthcare system is in shambles. Among those “outraged” was WH Press Secretary Jay Carney, telling reporters that Huckabee’s remarks sounded “offensive to me and to women.” In 1960, the year the birth control pill received FDA approval, only 1 in 20 births were out-of-wedlock. Now 54 years after the “pill,” that rate has exploded to more than 4 in 10, and over 3,000 U.S. abortions are performed daily. So to Carney and those suddenly “offended” by the word “libido,” the obvious question is WHY? We’ll get no answer because they have no answer. While everybody these days demands his or her “rights,” it’s a shame too few wish to assume his or her “responsibilities.” P

I agree with Hannity

Here are Hannity’s comments on Michael Savage: The poor guy is just an angry, depressed, and jealous human being who has been hanging around the backwaters of broadcasting for too many years. Now in his 70's, it’s sad to see that he is so angry, envious, and obsessed with fellow broadcasters. Perhaps his anger and conflict comes from his skinny dipping days in Fiji with his liberal poet friend Alan Ginsburg, or from having to admit his support of Jerry Brown. I have never been happier in my broadcast career. I am extremely grateful for my friendship with many prominent local and national hosts all over the country. as well as my over 500 station partners. Cumulus airs Savage, not on all of their stations, only 2 hours on heritage stations; or on delay. They clearly do not have confidence in him, and his ability to generate revenue. His show will not grow beyond Cumulus. Revenue will suffer, as he has shown he is incapable of any self control, i.e. when he intentionally made comments about kids’ autism, or comments on MSNBC; and Cumulus has a horrific record when it comes to launching new syndicated shows. Despite all the spin and propaganda it was my decision to fire Cumulus at the end of my contract and partner with Premiere and other great radio stations around the country. It was extremely difficult working with Cumulus… and to watch them literally destroy many heritage talk stations…such as KGO, WLS, KABC, and many others…and fire some of the best and brightest managers and PD's in the industry. My show will be growing in terms of audience and revenue as we build new stations, and move to live clears on many great established stations.
After 100 billion in subsidies, windmills and solar power combined amount to less than 4% of the energy we use. Both are so inefficient that they only exist because they get billions in subsidies from you. Fossil fuels get subsides too, but wind and solar get 100 times more. Get rid of them all!
