No one argues about the need to rewire a person's mind who suffers from addiction to drugs, alcohol, sex or food. There are support groups, books and professional services to help people get over an addiction. It is a process of rewiring.
Science tells us we can change a habit in 21 days. I contend it will take a bit longer. There is a mental stronghold that must be broken to have that habit changed.
There is a mindset that constrains people from achieving all that they were designed by their creator to become. People are born with a dream, a desire, a drive and they eventually go to the grave having that unrealized dream buried with them six feet below ground.
This is not an evil mindset, it is one however that if not overcome, people will stay stuck in a comfort zone that is as binding as if they were in a prison.
I am talking about the false sense of security that comes from the desire for a steady paycheck with benefits. The worst is a government job. Many people who try to break free of a steady job to start their own business will stay stuck forever as withdrawal symptoms from the weekly paycheck overcomes the desire for Independence and prosperity. This applies to a lesser extent to commissioned sales or incentive based compensation jobs.
It becomes a problem when our culture builds it's expectations around your need to have a steady paycheck to buy a house, a car, a credit card, anything. It causes people to revert to safety rather than steop out. Potential is lost.
It is good to have some steady income, but use that only as a stepping stone. One cannot long live on a single income stream. We need to develop several income streams.
Even at my age I have at 5 income streams right now. All different. All unique. When one fails to provide, another picks up the slack. I want to develop more.
IF you ever hope to break out of your dependence on a salary, you will need to get your mind rewired. That means weaning yourself away from the steady dependable reliable predictable income source and move toward a dynamic expandable creative unlimited income that is just right over there. It takes time. It takes determination. It takes direction.
Choose well. You will always be a wage earner, not a wage payer if you stay where you are today. The choice is yours. You are the doorway to the opportunity God has provided for you. Opening or closing that door is YOUR choice. What you do with it is really up to you, the sky is indeed the limit... but the sky is unreachable on a salary.

Casualties in the Trayvon Martin... George Zimmerman affair
Trayvon Martin wasn't the only victim that night in Florida. There has been much collateral damage since. Damage that has generated additional casualties. A casualty by definition is not a dead person or thing. It is something rendered injured or ineffective.

Race Relations that have been on the fence too long, took a spill into the dark side. Those who make a living at stirring hate emerged. Race Driven Lynch mobs in social media have been disgusting. "Kill Zimmerman" and "Trayvon deserved it" are memes that has driven a wedge. Progress that had been made was a casualty.
The young girl, Trayvon's friend who testified. You couldn't help but grasp how lost this poor girl is. She will live her life (however long that is) in the shadow of this case. CNN news commentators argued after her time on the stand that black English as spoken, read (not) and written (not) by her is a valid use of the English language. Culture is a casualty.
The rumors, misinformation and disinformation about the evidence in this trial and the guilt or innocence demonstrated by same was hashed and rehashed by amateur lawyer wannabes who do not grasp the principles of legal procedures. On TV I saw one man begin to rail about what HE would ask if HE were the prosecutor. Ignorance of the process is the results in bad judgement. Sound Judgement is a casualty.
People's certainty of guilt or innocence or Zimmerman or Martin's culpability in all this has demonstrated how we much we lack objectivity. Our constitutional rights demand objectivity in these things. Presumed innocent until? It seemingly has become impossible to look at a situation, remove the emotion, and tell ourselves the truth about an event. A couple of weeks after the whole thing blew up in the media and people were buying Hoodies to wear in protest, I warned of what is about to happen, how this would turn out as the facts were developed. I was right because I had no dog in the fight. I was objective. Most were not. Objectivity is a casualty.
When our President chose to take sides in this as was NOT his right, he's supposed to be a leader, he must stay out of these things. He chose the wrong side - again. Having the office doesn't make you a leader, character does. Leadership was a casualty.
There are other things... but in the end the real casualty is justice. Our Justice system has been swayed by public opinion. This should never have gone to trial. This has shown how poorly things are run.

culture has been dumbed down so much this will be unread. Most
people's attention span is so short and

The apostle Peter lived in a time and place where in the name of all things good, bad things were being done to him and his fellow believers. In the midst of attempting to survive through these bad things, Peter told his readers to "live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day He visits us". (1 Peter 2:12) Again, Peter's instructions might have been hard to take back then. Doing good while others are doing evil to you doesn't come easily to any of us.
In 1 Peter 2:14 Peter says something else about doing good and doing evil. He says that government exists "to punish those who do evil and to commend those who do good".
Our society, like the Roman society in Peter's day, defines matters of good and evil differently than Christians. What is seen as good to Christians isn't necessarily seen as good to an anti-Christ culture. Christians define good and evil from a fixed Biblical standpoint. Our culture defines good and evil from a fluid humanistic standpoint. Matters of good and evil vary from place to place, time to time, and person to person. These differing definitions cause conflict.
Part of doing good in a Biblical sense is speaking out for what we know to be Biblical truth, as the first generation Christians did. Standing up for truth is good. In fact it's our Biblical mandate. The apostle Paul taught us to speak this truth, albeit in the most loving way possible. (Ephesians 4:15)
There are a number of issues today where the world defines good and evil differently than Christians, abortion and gay marriage being two such issues. The time has come when our refusal to follow society's lead on these and other issues is seen as intolerant, bigoted, and evil. Refusing to perform a same sex wedding ceremony may seem Biblically good to us, but our anti-Christ culture sees it as evil. So, as Peter clearly stated, we should be aware of the fact that government will punish those who they define as doing evil. That places Christians in a painful predicament. When our doing good becomes doing evil in the eyes of society, as it is fast becoming the case, we must follow Peter's instructions. We don't chicken out and hide our heads in the sands of ignorant bliss. We boldly stand up for the Biblical truth. We love those who oppose us. We accept the consequences of our refusal to participate. We understand that the resulting suffering is a calling from God, so we're thankful to follow in the footsteps of our Lord and Saviour. (1 Peter 2:21)
None of us likes thinking about these things. I would rather be raptured away to heaven before any hint of this stuff reaches our doorstep, but it's a bit late for that now. It's already at our door, fumbling around with the door handle. There's no use ignoring it and pretending it's not there. Ignoring the reality of the world around us is not only unscriptural, it's spiritual suicide. We won't be able to hide behind our blissful ignorance when the anti-Christ culture crashes through the Christian cocoon some of us are hiding in. Take Peter's words seriously and prepare yourself for the coming conflict.

Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned.
Two lost their sons serving in the Revolutionary Army; another had two sons captured.
Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or hardships of the Revolutionary War.
They signed and they pledged their lives,their fortunes, and their sacred honor.
What kind of men were they?
Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists.
Eleven were merchants,
nine were farmers and large plantation owners;
men of means, well educated,but they signed the Declaration of Independence knowing full well that the penalty would be death if they were captured.
Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and trader, saw his ships swept from the seas by the
British Navy. He sold his home and properties to pay his debts, and died in rags.
Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British that he was forced to move his family almost constantly.He served in the Congress without pay,and his family was kept in hiding.His possessions were taken from him,and poverty was his reward.
Vandals or soldiers looted the properties of Dillery, Hall, Clymer, Walton, Gwinnett,Heyward, Ruttledge, and Middleton.
At the battle of Yorktown,Thomas Nelson, Jr., noted that the British General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson home for his headquarters.He quietly urged General George Washington to open fire.
The home was destroyed,and Nelson died bankrupt.
Francis Lewis had his home and properties destroyed.The enemy jailed his wife,and she died within a few months.
John Hart was driven from his wife's bedside as she was dying.Their 13 children fled for their lives. His fields and his gristmill were laid to waste.
For more than a year he lived in forests and caves, returning home to find his wife dead and his

The United States of America is under deadly attack by the foreign terrorist ideology of Islam to convert our Republic into an Islamic nation and the leader of this attack is Kenyan born Moslem Barrack Hussein Obama II, an illegal president of the United States, who is a Moslem Trojan Horse in the White House.

Muhammad did not get inspired by an Angel from the God of Abraham the Father of Jesus Christ; Muhammad got inspired to create the political ideology of Islam from Satan. Satan is the Koran’s God.

Islam is Jesus Christ’s spiritual enemy and is the anti-Christ in the world to try to destroy Christianity and therefore Islam’s spiritual and political goal is to destroy the nations of Israel and the United States.
Islam declared war on the United States during President Thomas Jefferson’s term because the U.S. stopped paying Moslem pirates bribe money which had risen to 20% of the Federal Budget. Moslem pirates had been seizing American ships and capturing our sailors and using and selling them as slaves or holding them for ransom. President Jefferson sent our U.S. Navy (funded and constructed under President Adam’s Administration), to North Africa and placed U.S. Marines on the ground for five years and defeated the Moslems. This is why the Marine Corps Hyman states: “From the Halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli…” The War that Islam declared upon America has never really stopped and is now in our country.
The United States is being infested with Moslems and Moslem Organizations such as the Muslim Brotherhood, Council on American-Islamic Relations, and the American Muslim Foundation. These three Moslem Organizations and the many others that exist in our country are nothing more than window-dressing organizations put in place to deceive the American people that Islam is a peaceful religion.
The Muslim Brotherhood is an international terrorist organization that is spearheading the destruction of all countries’ governments that Islam invades in order to turn that country into an Islamic nation.
The Muslim Brotherhood Creed: “Allah is our objective, the prophet is our leader, the Koran is our law, Jihad is our way, dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.” “Jihad is our way” explicitly endorses the reinstatement of a worldwide Islamic regime. Numerous Moslem leaders have made that very clear.
Islam does not mean “peace.” What Islam means as peace is that the world will be at peace when the entire world is ruled by Sharia Law. Islam’s “peace” will be achieved by either subjugation, conversion, or by war. The American people need to wake-up to the fact that Islam is a political system, not a religion.
Islamization of Europe is happening at a faster rate than in the United States. England, France, Belgium, Germany, Norway and Sweden are in serious trouble in becoming Islamic states and more will follow.
Moslem President Obama supported the so-called revolutions in Egypt, Libya and Tunisia and even military supported the “revolution” in Egypt. All three of these countries will be ruled by the Muslim Brotherhood.

Islam will be extracted from American society.
The only logical course of action to protect the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights from the political system of Islam in America is to make Islam illegal within the United States of America and all other lands and property under the jurisdiction of the United States government.

Speaking at the Pentagon's gay pride celebration yesterday, a top adviser to President Obama, Valerie Jarrett, said, "Because we repealed ‘don’t ask, don’t tell,’ our military … is stronger and our country is safer, more equal and more just."
I suppose we are to believe that our more effeminate military is just what the doctor ordered to render it more capable of wading into battle and destroying its enemies. That's liberal, Obama administration logic for you. But nothing could be further from the truth.
Whenever we, as a nation, thumb our collective nose at Almighty God, the outcome is assuredly not positive. And thumb our noses at God we have where this issue is concerned because Scripture couldn't be any clearer than it is where the topic of living a homosexual lifestyle is concerned.
Leviticus 18:22-24: "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination. Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it [is] confusion. Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:"
When man lies down with man sexually, it is a sin. Likewise, when a man has sex with a goat it is a sin. And sinning against God? It doesn't make a nation stronger militarily, it defiles it. That's not a personal opinion on my part. That's what Scripture teaches, not that our current administration can be bothered with something as minor (in their eyes) as the will of Almighty God.
The United States may be a lot of things since 'don't ask, don't tell' was repealed but safer is not one of them. Safer is what you are when you're living inside of God's will, not trampling it underfoot.

Unemployed because manual labor is "Beneath" them.

The non education of BOYS in School is blamed on the idea that "Boys Don't Read".
Teachers will say this. I'm a Boy (male) and I read. But I

For government to enforce legislating immorality means the loss of religious freedom for those who choose (and once had a right) to live according to a select code of values.
They will now be told that their right to live according to those values (values which history has proven are time tested and promote the best in family and community), discriminate against those who have selected a different set of values.
In theory, embracing, adopting, and applying all values sounds like the "right" thing to do. Simply using the word "value", almost makes it acceptable in and of itself.
However, in practice, it has shown to be destructive. Let's take women's liberation. In theory, again, the phrase women's liberation sounds like the right thing to do, and in some respects there were some issues that needed to be addressed. However, woman was created to be the nurturer and caregiver, the administrator of the home. Over the years, the view and perception of the most important job in the world, the role of mother in the home, has been diminished and weakened.
The result; Multiply women's lib times three generations and you get latch-key children, 65% divorce rate, 70% of children growing up without a father or being raised by one parent, more families on welfare (which was originally created to be temporary assistance and a temporary program), minorities who were disenfranchised to begin with (Afr Amer and Hispanic children) coming up at the bottom in areas where the poll is about the "best", and coming up at the top in polls where the subject matter pertains to the "worst" - testing, finishing school, college grads, two-parent homes, savings, retirement, funeral preparation, etc.
There is no secret as to why we are failing our children, only a refusal to accept responsibility and a failure to choose to live according to the purpose in which we were created.
Not living up to and in accordance with the standard in which we were created results in a society of chaos. When man moves the line of morality further and further back to justify their indiscretions or refuses to take responsibility, we cannot continue to complain about the ills of society but should instead expect that what is occurring right before our eyes is a result of our own doing.
But there is hope. Choose to take a stand for morality in the face of immorality. Morality is not a bad word - morality will, in the end (and there will one day be an end), be the remnant which will stand as a light on a hill and will not be hid.
May God's grace and mercy continue to fall upon us and may His hand never be removed from us.

As for the argument that it’s a matter of equality, let me gently point out that the issue is not equality, but sameness. Equality means intrinsic worth and value and would guarantee one’s right to vote, rent or buy a house, go to school, or receive medical care. But equality of worth doesn’t create sameness.
There are differences between men and women, and votes of Congress nor the Extreme Court can change that. After 39 years of marriage, I won’t pretend that I understand women, but I know there’s a difference.
Courts said in 1857 that black people weren’t fully human and they were wrong. They said in 1962 that we couldn’t pray in school and they were wrong. In 1973, they said unborn children were disposable and expendable, and 56 million dead children later, they were wrong. And this week, for those of us who believe God created male and female, and who believe what Jesus said that a man shall leave his father and mother and a woman shall leave her home and the two will become one flesh, they were wrong again.

Commentary
Notice in the above verse that God sends
a strong delusion that people should believe a lie. When a person, or a
nation in general, will not receive the love of the truth and reject
it, God sends them a lie to believe. God designed everyone to believe,
and if a person rejects truth, then lies will fill the void.
The person who rejected truth and whose
mind is full of lies the Bible calls a reprobate. Right now America is
being led by reprobates, and the corporate consensus is nearly
reprobate. In some sections of the nation, the reprobates are in total
control. It is happening so fast that it makes my head spin.
We have to face the fact that God has
turned the nation over to reprobates for judgments. I hope that everyone
understands this: the reprobates in authority, by itself, is a sign of
judgment. God sends both delusions and turns people over to a reprobate
mind as a form of judgment. Tens of millions of Americans are right now
under God’s judgment and do not have a clue. They have been judged for
their sin and rebellion against His word.

I am in total favor of this. The state needs to force these pastors to
take a stand. Maybe some of them will become real men of God with
courage and act like shepherds rather than hirelings. The faster this
happens the better. For the first time in their lives, many of these
pastors are going to have to make a stand! This is how people gain
courage, by making a stand.
There is no doubt that the Hard Left is going to go after any church that even gives the appearance of believing in the Bible.

The foundation is now set to go after
the Christians just as the Nazis went after the Jews. The nexus now will
be sodomy rights. Right now society is about split on homosexual
“marriage”. The Hard Left needs to get society on their side, so watch
the propaganda barrage begin. We will be called hateful, bigots, against
humanity and human rights, and whatever else they can think of. The
attack will come from every angle. The military will be full of this
propaganda.
At first, it will be rhetoric and going
after believers with legal action. After this phase will start the
violence. Once again, if I ever told you anything that is true, this is
it. They hate us because they hate God. They will act out that hate
against us, when society is conditioned to go along with it. It is a
process.
This is what the Nazis did when they
took control. At first, the Germans did not fall for the propaganda, but
after a few years, they either went along or where ambivalent. Either
way the Nazis won as there were few people who would stand up against
the Nazis and defend the Jews. Of course, the VAST amount of the pastors
where nowhere to be seen. They had very high “tall grass” in Germany
back in the 1930s. It is the same grass that the American pastors are
now hiding in.
Modern American pastors and the majority
of the Christians better not condemn the German people for not standing
against the Nazis. They are behaving exactly like the Germans did. It
is eerie to know history and watch the American church take the same
path of nonresistance as what happened in Germany.
I do equate the American Left with the
Nazis. These people are responsible for the legal murder of 55 million
babies in the womb. They have already proven how bloodthirsty they are
and will bend and twist the law to destroy life that they deem is not
worthy of living. This is exactly what the Nazis did to the Jews and
anyone else who got in their way. The Hard Left in America is ruthless
and will destroy anyone who does not go along with their agenda.
Now is the time to live by faith and to
be anchored in the Lord Jesus by faith. Everyone’s faith is about to be
tested in a mighty way. God showed us what was coming and now it is
here. There is no turning back from the Hard Left reprobate agenda. They
are in control and will never give it up without bloodshed.
Those who live by faith will stand while
the others will be overcome by fear and terror for what is coming to
America. If you have not been living by faith now is the time to repent
and ask the Lord Jesus to purge you of self and fill you with His faith
and Holy Spirit.
May the Holy God of Israel bless and protect you.

Cultural Heresy
Many Christians do not go to movies. I go to few. Many do not watch TV. I do... but it's limited. They avoid anything that is even considered worldly. I was just SW of Iowa City over the weekend. I drove by several Amish Farms. They have shut themselves out from the world. We admire men like Smith Wigglesworth ( I DO) who would read no newspaper. Just the Bible. Many of us (me included) have our bookshelves full of Christian Books. We don't read novels. We don't read shades of Gray. Nor should we. That causes us to become Cultural Heretics. We have isolated ourselves completely from the culture. We do so many times to protect ourselves and our families from influences that might kill them. Particularly in some communities where that is a real possibility. We talk a different language. Our conversations are coded...biblical references and assumptions.
We have so succeeded in isolating ourselves from a fallen culture we no longer are capable of engaging it. We can't speak to them. They have no idea what we are saying. Our books and movies are not read by the culture... oh a few are. Jesus Calls, Left Behind, Cross and Switchblade. There are few christian authors who successfully cross over. Mostly we are talking into an echo chamber of our own making. The ones who DO succeed in crossing over are criticized. Joel Osteen for instance. His "Best Life Now" book was read in the culture. Yet Christians lambaste him for his soft approach to theology. He's engaging the culture, we're not.
Our movies are for the most part unseen by the unsaved. The Bible TV series was watched...but very little Christian Witness exists on Secular TV. We are unrepresented. Mostly because we don't exist in the places where Decisions on these things might be made.
Most of our Christian music (save a few C&W artists) is unheard by the lost. I have admired those who have tried to do Christian Rap. It is an art form that will speak. Unfortunately no one has really crossed over. I hoped at one time that EMINEM would get saved.
The Apostle Paul knew about this. He was a cultural chameleon. HE became all things to all people. In Athens he pointed to their art and used it as a launch pad for conversation. In Rome he became like them. He said, 1 Corinthians 9:19-23
19 Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. 20 To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. 21 To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. 22 To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. 23 I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.
We must learn to speak into our culture. We are no longer able to do so. I don't mean compromise, I mean we must become like Paul. The great catastrophe in 72 AD caused the Christians to disperse throughout the culture. They became many different things to many different peoples. Maybe God will have to do that again to get us to engage with the culture.
To continue to hide behind our church walls and not engage the culture is cultural heresy and if we consider Paul's approach... maybe it's simply HERESY

We must learn to speak into our culture. We are no longer able to do so. I don't mean compromise, I mean we must become like Paul. The great catastrophe in 72 AD caused the Christians to disperse throughout the culture. They became many different things to many different peoples. Maybe God will have to do that again to get us to engage with the culture.
To continue to hide behind our church walls and not engage the culture is cultural heresy and if we consider Paul's approach... maybe it's simply HERESY

Somehow we have to get our men back into the mainstream.
We are losing
them on the street. The feminism of all strata in our culture while
admirable has pendulum swung too far... Time to celebrate maleness

10) Only in America ... could politicians talk about the greed of the rich at a $35,000.00 a plate campaign fund-raising event.
9) Only in America ... could people claim that the government still discriminates against black Americans when they have a black President, a black Attorney General and roughly 20% of the federal workforce is black while only 14% of the population is black. 40+% of all federal entitlements goes to black Americans – 3X the rate that go to whites, 5X the rate that go to Hispanics!
8) Only in America ... could they have had the two people most responsible for our tax code, Timothy Geithner (the head of the Treasury Department) and Charles Rangel (who once ran the Ways and Means Committee), BOTH turn out to be tax cheats who are in favor of higher taxes.
7) Only in America ... can they have terrorists kill people in the name of Allah and have the media primarily react by fretting that Muslims might be harmed by the backlash.
6) Only in America ... would they make people who want to legally become American citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege, while they discuss letting anyone who sneaks into the country illegally just 'magically' become American citizens.

4) Only in America ... could you need to present a driver's license to cash a check or buy alcohol, but not to vote.
3) Only in America ... could people demand the government investigate whether oil companies are gouging the public because the price of gas went up when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. oil company (Marathon Oil) is less than half of a company making tennis shoes (Nike).
2) Only in America ... could the government collect more tax dollars from the people than any nation in recorded history, still spend a Trillion dollars more than it has per year - for total spending of $7-Million PER MINUTE, and complain that it doesn't have nearly enough money.
1) Only in America ... could the rich people - who pay 86% of all income taxes - be accused of not paying their "fair share" by people who don't pay any income taxes at all.

Those who attack American culture and tradition should recall that
historically, freedom and prosperity are the aberrations, not servitude
and poverty. Our nation’s success is not a happy accident or part of a
natural, unstoppable progression that can’t be changed. Nothing could be
more foolish than to abandon the traditions, religion, work ethic,
family structure, moral code and culture that made this country wealthy
and free while expecting to continue to reap the rewards of practices we
now scorn as too demanding and judgmental. What we sow as a nation, we
should expect to reap and the crop these days isn’t looking very good.
