106 Excuses That Prevent You From Ever Becoming Great
This might be one of the most insightful articles I have read in a long time. IF you feel at all stuck...this will help:
Something is holding you back, and you can’t quite put your finger on it. So instead of moving past it and taking action, you make an excuse. You justify your reasons for staying put.
You may have one excuse; you may have several.
What follows are 106 of the most common excuses you might tell yourself.

I despise the nature our our "Welfare" system in the USA. It's nothing more than a program to be gamed and scammed by welfare cheats. This young lady who worked at Walmart tells some chilling stories. We need some serious welfare reform. Reform is too weak a word. IF I had my way, welfare as we know it, food stamps, ebt (link) cards, child credits, WIC and all the other mess would be abolished... and for a season handed to the Churches to dispense. I would be much tougher on Unemployment Insurance as well. This is a mess and has to be corrected. OH, and the Payroll tax has to return. Everyone has to have skin in the game and right now they don't. With the money not being paid many people pay NO TAXESSee More
If you have a college education and a lousy job that didn't really require a college education, you are not alone. The big lie that a good education leads to a good job automatically has come home to roost. We have more well educated poor than ever before. This is a cultural problem, not an economic problem. People that have every degree possible working for $25,000 per year is legendary. We somewhere along the line made a GOD out of education at the expense of learning to work, we should be creating a culture that values productivity over credentials.

This kind of thing in addition to the Light Bulb Ban is why I hate government intervention so much. Throw them ALL OUT!!!!
The Ford Ranger has been a staple of the automaker’s light truck line for decades now, but it won’t be available any longer in American markets. Not because Americans aren’t buying it any more – the CEO of Ford said last year that the company would be “nuts” to be rid of the model line – but becaus...
POLICE STATE. They ARE using predator drones in the USA, not just in the middle east. How long before they are armed. How long before they come to get you. We are drifting quickly into a dictatorship and police state. North Dakota has always been a socialist state, but this is frightening.

From the time you declared your candidacy for president of the United States and announced under your breath that you are a Christian, many true, Bible-believing Christians immediately had doubts about your muffled profession of faith. After all, for 20 years you drank deeply from the well of Rev. J...
I believe the religious spirit of being "respectable" and not too "emotional" or spontaneous is killing Christianity. I never wanted to belong to that nice respectable church on the corner. I want when demonized drive by that they give us the finger and curse us out. If you are loved by the world you might be hated by God. Respectablity is a false Idol

Leap to Live
A story from the 40s I heard yesterday. In visiting "Mom" 94, she told a story that happened in South Dakota in the wartime 40s. Waubay SD. A three story house was burning. There were two men, boarders, trapped on the third floor. She could see them with their heads out the window in panic. People organized a safety catch, blankets and ropes into which they could jump and be saved. It would take some faith to make the leap. They were afraid they might be hurt or die by jumping. Because of their lack of faith, they stayed, hoping the fire wouldn't get them, somehow they would be OK even if they never took the leap. They died in the fire while people below were yelling, JUMP, have faith, we'll catch you.
Since I see Jesus in everything, It immediately struck me how much like the lost this is. There is no safety in hoping to escape hell without an act of faith. Saved by faith thru grace. Without taking the leap, hell will well up and consume you. Those men hoped doing nothing, taking what seemed to be the safe way would work out. It didn't. It's terrifying to think of the people dying and ending up in hell because of a fear that they would have to make a leap to live.

You have right at 2 weeks to buy any 3 way bulb and hundred watt bulbs you need for the rest of your life. After that the government will outlaw them. What country is this anyway comrade???
Include me among those crazed Americans who can’t walk into Home Depot, Target or my local grocery store right now without wanting to grab a king-sized shopping cart and stuff it to the gunwales with
Here's a whole blog devoted to the idiocy that is the light bulb ban. DON'T read it..It will anger you.
There is a rapid, emerging shortage of rare earth metals, a primary component used in the manufacture of fluorescent lamps – principally phosphors. This will happen more an more as the administration keeps shutting down power sources. We are in deep trouble.
Does it seem curious to anyone why President Obama chose Osawatomie, Kansas, of all places, to give a controversial speech attacking capitalism? Just asking, seems like an amazing coincidence that it was the name of the Weather Underground Terrorist organization of my youth. Communist inspired. Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn. Here is a poster from then. OR is it a not so secret message to the Marxists among us? HMMM

When asked what he would say to the African American community who is now disappointed in him, President Barack Obama stated: “The reason they still support me is because they understand what an incredible mess had been made as I was coming into office and we’ve been spending the last three years cl...
Traveling last week I heard the leader of this organization interviewed. He claims to have proven that the Bible supports the existence of Atlantis. When I was ten years old I read an old book about the pre-diluvian era. Atlantis and all that. I read everything when I was young. I don't now know what to think about all this. I'm open to hearing if it doesn't conflict with the word of God. Any opinions?
Ol Newt gets in more trouble by telling the truth. Are we so gone as a nation that someone can't tell the truth any more???
I know this is true...sadly. The sexual promiscuity in the Church is about the same as outside. Most "evangelicals" are practical atheists. Living as if there is no God.
David French writes on NRO: I’m coming a bit late to this piece, but the October 2011 issue of Relevant magazine contains a must-read article for those who see the need for a rather profound cultural course correction. It turns out that 80 percent of unmarried evangelicals (18 to 29) are sexually ac...
How did we end up with a police state??? I blame George Bush for implementing the TSA and Homeland security. He didn't destroy the economy. That mus is to his credit. But when I read things like this, I am angry at the pattern he set. Dismantle the TSA and turn Homeland security back to the local cops. This is nuts.
Rev Al is broke. I'm guessing we will be seeing him on Christian TV begging for money any day now. All kidding aside. I like Rev AL. Listen to him on the radio. Except for his political loyalty to a failed political philosophy, his social views are pretty good, his cultural observations are excellent. He lets too many long winded callers on his show. BUT, I'll bet if I were to hang out with him, we would be good friends. Even Glenn Beck thinks the world of the Rev AL. Strange bedfellows. Maybe I should send him some money.
I took a Fiscal IQ test. I did OK. NOT GREAT. Kinda disappointing. How about you? I guess I thought I was sharper than that. OH WELL
