Here's a little something to think about the next time you're stuck in traffic behind one of those idealistic 20-somethings with a sterilized brain full of Hopenchange and a "COEXIST" bumper sticker on the ass end of his Forester.

A critical creative look at issues of Economics, Politics and Finding a Purpose in Life - Let's talk about it. I try to leave the woodpile higher than I found it.
Here in California…
They want to release 40,000 prison inmates because of overcrowding, that have a 70% recidivism rate.
We elected Brown and Boxer.
We are starting a 4.5 billion $ rail system in earthquake land.
It will be as profitable as metro-link and the post office.
Our Firefighters under the control of cal-osha retire with 100K pensions.
Many fire districts have them not paying any salary into their pensions.
Silver passed $29 an ounce today and a loaf of bread is at the bargain price of $3.99.
Our Government is perpetuating a structured devaluation in property values, by way of building the amount of foreclosures, the renting of foreclosures and the general increase of mortgage rates. EVERYONE should be able to afford a house…even if your on unemployment…lets get rid of the mortgage interest deduction and devalue them more…..then we can have socialized housing….WE the Government will tell you where you can live.
Get ready for a grocery store near you yo close….they have been cutting their margins and many will close….stock up………….cause the prices will increase necessarily along with water, electricity…..Oh, forgot that our Government purchased over 25% of the GM’s electric vehicles….sitting in a lot near you. The grid is not equipped to handle the charging of these vehicles, plugging one in is like plugging in a small house…on the surge they require….so now the electric providers are scrambling the upgrade their systems to handle 3 vehicles plugged in one the same block….that won’t blow a transformer and shut everyone down. But don’t worry…we have have the Government agency the P.U.C. or public utilities commission that was there to make sure the public utility made enough income to pay it’s union employees, while not ever upgrading their systems…..for decades…..were in great hands relying on our Government….just the tip of the iceberg were hitting.
Things had been looking up for gun-rights activists. In 2008, the Supreme Court ruled in D.C. v. Heller that Washington’s handgun laws were unconstitutional. In the summer of 2010, in McDonald v Chicago, the court expanded that ruling to apply to handgun laws in all 50 states.
Even President Obama seemed relatively open to Second Amendment rights, saying on the campaign trail: “I believe there is a Second Amendment right. I think it is an individual right. I think people have the right to lawfully bear arms.”
Now, it seems that when it comes to Obama and guns, he was for them before he was against them.
Last month, the president nominated Andrew Traver to be the new director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE). But while gun-control advocates are lauding Obama’s nominee, others are worried Traver will implement strict gun rules by way of bureaucratic regulations
With United Nations climate negotiators facing an uphill battle to advance their goal of reducing emissions linked to global warming, it's no surprise that the woman steering the talks appealed to a Mayan goddess Monday.
Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change, invoked the ancient jaguar goddess Ixchel in her opening statement to delegates gathered in Cancun, Mexico, noting that Ixchel was not only goddess of the moon, but also "the goddess of reason, creativity and weaving. May she inspire you -- because today, you are gathered in Cancun to weave together the elements of a solid response to climate change, using both reason and creativity as your tools."

EVERYTHING Brian Aitken was or had worked for was wiped away one winter afternoon after his mother called the police on him.
Separated from his wife, the entrepreneur and media consultant, now 27, had moved back home to New Jersey from Colorado toward the end of 2008 to be closer to their young son.
In between jobs, his well-oiled life was running ragged, and on Jan. 2, 2009, when his ex canceled his visit with their son, he became distraught, muttered something to his mother, and left his parents' home in Mount Laurel, N.J.
"He said something that scared her, things that a guy will only say to his mom, like . . . 'Life's not worth living anymore,' " said Larry Aitken, Brian's father.
Sue Aitken, a trained social worker, decided to play it safe and called police, but she hung up before the 9-1-1 dispatcher could answer. Police traced the call and showed up anyway, and found two handguns in the trunk of Brian's car. And now Brian, her middle child, a graduate student with no prior criminal record, is serving a seven-year prison sentence for weapons charges.
