I know this church very well.
When you choose to do good works and
social justice over spiritual development the true purpose of the church
is gutted. Becomes nothing more than the Red Cross. Rick Renner calls
it out.
"If the church has no fixed, absolute, biblical truth on which it stands and for which it will not negotiate, it simply becomes a good will, humanitarian organisation with a “Christian” philosophy. It is no secret that the spiritual environment in the world is undergoing a radical change – and a great gulf is beginning to divide those who are moving away from established truth and those who see what is happening and are responding to it by making personal recommitments to absolute truth. The winds of change are blowing and it is producing a sifting, a dividing -- a separation of wheat from chaff. The rift has become so severe that who is wheat and who is chaff may be looked upon differently depending on which group to whom you belong." (Rick Rennner)
If
you are familiar with the concept of golden handcuffs You will
understand the tragedy of this Farm Bill that mercifully went down to
Defeat. This bill represents the worst kind of bondage. Dependency on
Government. It places people in chains
and shackles. For those on the SNAP program The chains are forged of
plastic. For farmers it is a bondage of barbed wire. It keeps them
under control. Forces them to farm the government rather than their
fields. Everyone who receives benefits from this catastrophe assumes
they cannot live without it..... so they stay hooked to the government
nipple. No one is better off with this Farm bill.
Coming
from a family gathering. Discussion was about goals. A goal to be a
goal must be Measurable, achievable, have a timetable with benchmarks,
and have a pathway plan to see success with a clear vision of what it
will look like when it is accomplished
working then backwards to where we are today. These men I was with,
relatives of mine are man of great wealth. All about my age. This was
no academic discussion. Helping people differentiate between dreams and
goals is critical to success.
Where are the men??
This is most certainly true and sadly the Church in America seems to support this trend.

Ist Das Boot Voll?
Das Boot ist voll.... This keeps ringing in my ears as the immigration debate rages on. I have been a supporter of LEGAL immigration. A supporter of those among us who will pull their weight, embrace the Culture that America reveres and become part of what builds this country. My grandparents were just such. Didn't speak English much. Yet, they loved this nation, they revered it, they became American. I know we hear a lot about Mexicans trying to wave the Mexican flag and all in California. MOST of the Hispanics I know and work with are assimilating well and becoming contributors to our society. We have murdered 50 million children since 1973 who are not going to help this country grow. There is no one to take their place. The replacement rate among native born Americans is less than the death rate. We are not forming families and having children.
Where I object is to those who will NOT embrace our culture. Those who demand that we follow traditions and laws and language they brought from their broken countries. Muslims are foremost offenders in this when they attempt to impose sharia law. Hindus are less. YET... havering worked along side many Pakistanis here and in England there is a cultural difference. They do not embrace all we hold dear.
The Muslim more' in dealing with infidels (you and me) is that it is OK to lie and Cheat to those inferior.
That is the flaw our President has. He things they believe what he imputes to them. They don't. His catastrophic foreign policy is rooted in his naivete regarding those of the Muslim faith. His soft heart towards them is part of his upbringing and he believes a myth.
I will rather take the Lopez or Sanchez family, catholic, hard working, eats at McDonalds, and works hard to make it happen as a neighbor any day. They are builders.
IF I must say Das Boot ist Voll... it will be to those who's intention from the get go is to sink it. Our Hispanic immigrants are a gift we don't understand. I know I am about to get kicked out of the conservative party. YET, Rubio is right. We have to make this work. We can't keep winking at it.
There is one other thing. The competition they bring to the work force, better, stronger, smarter, makes us all better. When I work with a group of Mexicans.. I am always pushed to excellence. Not so much when I work with many born here.
Welcome. There's room in Das Boot for you.

Was Paul knocked off his high horse on the way to Damascus?
There was no horse, another sacred cow slain.
Caravaggio’s “Conversion on the Way to Damascus”
Many people believe that
Paul was knocked off his horse on the road to Damascus. Caravaggio’s
famous painting titled “Conversion on the Way to Damascus” (depicted
above) has seared into our imaginations the image that Paul fell in
amazement from his horse when Christ appeared to him in the midst of a
blinding light. However, if you go back and read the biblical account of
the miracle, nowhere does it describe Saul falling off his horse. In
fact, we can be certain that Rabbi Saul was not on his horse at midday
when Christ appeared to him (Acts 26:13).
We know this because Pharisees prayed regularly throughout the day in obedience to Psalm 55:16-17, “But I call upon God, and the LORD will save me. Evening and morning and at noon.” Jewish men recited these prayers standing on their feet and facing toward Jerusalem. Saul no doubt observed noonday prayer on that day as he traveled along the road to Damascus. He was likely standing erect and facing south to Jerusalem when Jesus Christ spoke to him and blinded him with light. Paul described the experience like this:

He was likely standing erect and facing south to Jerusalem when Jesus Christ spoke to him and blinded him with light. Paul described the experience like this:
I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? It hurts you to kick against the goads.’
And I said, ‘Who are you, Lord?’
And the Lord said, ‘I am Jesus whom you are persecuting. But rise and stand upon your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you to serve and bear witness to the things in which you have seen me and to those in which I will appear to you, delivering you from the people and from the Gentiles to whom I send you to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me’ (Acts 26:14-18).
Blinded
by this brilliant apparition of Christ, Saul went to Damascus where the
very Christians whom he had sought to imprison received him. A
Christian leader in Damascus by the name of Ananias laid his hands on
Saul, and at once the one-time persecutor of the Christians received
back his sight. Saul then received the sacrament of baptism.
Incidentally, Saul was baptized in a home and not in a river (Acts 9:17-18). As might be expected, the Christians of Damascus were not eager to receive Saul into their fellowship. “Is not this the man who made havoc in Jerusalem of those who called on this name? And he has come here for this purpose, to bring them bound before the chief priests” (Act 9:21). However, Saul’s conversion proved genuine as he immediately began to proclaim that Jesus was the promised Messiah of Israel.

How do you know when money is your master?
You have to ask it first, before you determine what you can or can not do.
I believe many of us are deceived in to thinking we are serving God; even though we look to the "almighty" dollar for everything.
To serve God we must look to Him for ALL things. And believe that the finances belong to & are distributed by Him. Also, that He can do far greater than what money can buy.

Where Does America’s Energy Come From?
by KEN BRAUN
If you listen to politicians and much of the media talk of
America’s energy future, you may be getting a false idea about just how
relevant certain politically popular energy experimental forms of energy
are to keeping the lights on, factories running and cars moving.
First, consider how much energy Americans use for
everything: transportation, heating, electricity, industry … all of it.
In 2011, the Department of Energy says that was 97.5 quadrillion Btu
(British thermal units.)
Here’s where it all of our energy came from in 2011:
36% – Petroleum
25% – Natural Gas
20% – Coal
8% – Nuclear
3.15% – Hydro-electric dams
1.98% – Wood
1.89% – Biofuels (ethanol, biodiesel, etc…)
1.17% – Wind
0.45% – Biomass Waste
0.18% – Geothermal
0.09% – Solar
The most frequently championed and subsidized alternative
energy sources in the political arena – wind and solar – still comprise
just a tiny portion of our total energy use: Just a few ticks over one
percent in 2011. This is despite many years of subsidies and
development. Burning wood as a fuel dates back to mankind discovering
fire, and it still remains nearly twice as common a fuel source as wind
and solar combined.
The most frequent use for wind and solar is in the
generation of our electricity. But here as well, these experimental
sources still comprise a small amount of the total.
Here is where Americans got their electricity from in 2011:
42% – Coal
25% – Natural Gas
19% – Nuclear
8% – Hydro-electric dams
3% – Wind
1% – “Biomass” (burning wood, paper and food scraps, etc…)
Less than 1% Geothermal
Less than 1% Solar
Less than 1% Solar
IF you believe that our number one priority should be a sound energy policy.. on what should we be concentrating our efforts? HMMMM?

Mr. President, you said, "The USA is not a Christian Nation". You are wrong we are a Christian Nation founded on Judeo-Christian values allowing all religions in America to Worship & Practice Freely. Something Islam will never do.
Oh, by the way, on MUSLIM HERITAGE IN America ...
Have you ever been to a Muslim hospital in America ? Have you heard a Muslim orchestra?
Have you seen a Muslim band march in a parade? Have you witnessed a Muslim charity?
Have you seen Muslims shaking hands with a Muslim Girl Scouts? Have you seen a Muslim Candy Striper?
Have you ever seen a Muslim do anything that contributes positively to the American way of life?

I
tuned into our local liberal radio station for a few minutes this PM.
Dick Kay was on. Local liberal. I was stunned to hear him defending
Obama's incursion into Syria to support the rebels (we have troops on
the border) and defending the use of all types of technology to spy on
every phone call, email, text, Facebook post, tweet and whatever and the
right of the government to use that information to persecute the citizenry.
If Obama were to begin killing kittens and puppies in public the liberals would back him on that too. Is there no limit to these people's blind loyalty? What happened to the day when Liberals were anti war and pro privacy? Abortion is based on a supposed constitutional right to privacy you know. Up is down, down is up. I'm not confused... they are. Obamanation has blinded them...

Since 1963, violent crime has increased over 500 percent.
Illegitimate births have increased 400 percent.
Divorces have increased 400 percent.
Children living in single-parent homes have increased 300 percent.
Teenage suicide has increased 200 percent.
S.A.T. scores have dropped almost 80 points, despite huge increases in support for education. God Give us another chance Thank you.

Sarah Palin is so quick...
"I say this, as someone's who kind of fertile myself," Palin says we shouldn't compare race's fertility. "Hi, Jeb!" Jeb Bush told the audience at a Faith and Freedom Coalition event that “comprehensive immigration reform” should be embraced because, among other reasons, “immigrants are more fertile.” It was Sarah Palin’s turn on stage today, and she couldn’t resist getting in a shot at Bush.

This
whole scheme of "Deficiency Payments" years after a foreclosure is
wrong. Didn't we have the government bail the banks out? WAIT.. no we
didn't. That was all smoke and mirrors. I called it then. IT will
never amount to anything. This is a balance sheet move.
This
isn't even possibly a source of funds. These deals are unrecoverable.
This is designed to prop up a balance sheet. Even with a deep
discount there is a substantial "asset" to show. What concerns me is
that they are doing this at all. How deep
is the problem in the banks anyway. And Paul.. yes kinda. It should
have been a way to meliorate the "Troubled assets" these foreclosures
were. Here's the real question, if you were an investor and you wanted
to buy the loan from the bank in the story... how much would you pay
them? The hundred grand they are trying to get from a day laborer who
has zero assets. What's that loan worth? ZIP! BUT on a balance
sheet... it has value. That concerns me. I work with banks in my
consulting in deals like this all the time.. unfortunately it means I
know too much.
Chicago
has the toughest gun control laws in the nation -- yet, it is plagued
by gun violence! Why? Because gun control only controls the guns of
law-abiding citizens -- not the criminals. Criminals don't subject
themselves to laws. So, can we understand as a nation that gun control
doesn't work to reduce gun violence?
