Now it came to pass that a group existed who called themselves fishermen. And lo, there were many fish in the waters all around. In fact, the whole area was surrounded by streams and lakes filled with fish,and the fish were looking for something.
Week after week, month after month, and year after year, those who called themselves fishermen met in meetings and talked about their ...call to go fish...ing. Continually they searched for new and better methods of fishing. They sponsored costly nationwide and worldwide congresses to discuss fishing and hear about all the ways of fishing, such as the new fishing equipment, fish calls and whether any new bait was discovered. These fishermen even built large and beautiful buildings called Fishing Headquarters.
The plea was that everyone should be a fisherman and every fisherman should fish. One thing they didn't do, however, they didn't fish. All the fishermen however seemed to be agreed that what was needed was a board which could challenge fishermen to be faithful in fishing. So the board was formed by those who had great vision and courage to speak about fishing, and to promote the idea of fishing, and to promote the idea of fishing in faraway streams and lakes where many other fish of different colors lived. Large, elaborate and expensive training centers were built whose purpose was to teach fishermen how to fish. Those who taught had doctorates in fishology. But the teachers did not fish. They only taught fishing.
Some spent much study and travel to learn the history of fishing and to see faraway places where the founding fathers did great fishing in centuries past. They lauded the faithful fishermen of years before who handed down the idea of fishing.
Many who felt the "call" to be fishermen responded. They were commissioned and sent to fish off in those "foreign" lands... and to teach fishing. Now it is true that many of the fishermen sacrificed and put up with all kinds of difficulties. Some lived near the water and bore with the smell of dead fish every day. They were even ridiculed at times for their efforts. They anguished over those who were not committed enough to attend weekly meetings to talk about fishing. After all, were they not following the Master who said, 'Follow me and I will make you fishers of men?' Imagine how hurt some were when one day a person suggested that those who don't catch fish were really not fishermen, no matter how loudly their claims were made. Yet it did sound correct. Is a person a fisherman if year after year he never actually fishes?
If Christ were to return to this earth today in physical form, would He find us fishing, in obedience to Him, or would He find us organizing, talking about fishing, and making plans to be the best Fishing Headquarters anywhere?

I think we have such public meetings, they are called crusades. The purpose is to help seekers hear a gospel message. The problem as i see it is we h...ave degraded the believers service to a lukewarm don't offend anyone, particularly believers meeting. It then neither serves to evangelize the unbeliever nor edify the believer. I know Luther backed away from this position under pressure...but based on what I am sensing, we need to revisit this. Wind City...a place for true believers
There are some marvelous large wind farms in our area. They pollute the prairie rendering most of the ground un usable. That is the nature of stupid energy policy.

I would propose all those who are convinced windmills and solar panels are the answer that they move to and live right under the windmills - FREE. We'll call it wind city. The only requirements are for you to live free there is you must live. IF you move there you must stay two years. No retreat.
To prove the capacity for absolute sustainability you must agree to the following:
If you decide to give up, you owe me $30,000, about what it will cost to put you into this situation. You get to live free.
IF you survive the two years and still believe this is the best plan for the whole of the nation you will be able to convince me.
I don't think anyone would do this. They know this is destined to fail.. just as the New Dark Age conspiracy of this administration is designed to do to the USA.

- You must live off the electric grid.
- Other than solar your only source of power must be the windmill under which you live. No grid.

- You will not be allowed to give up. If it gets very cold, the wind doesn't blow and the sun doesn't shine you will freeze in the dark. You are allowed no storage devices. Just like the grid has none. If there is no load the windmill will run free.
- You communications, internet, telephone, everything must be powered solely by your windmill and solar panel.
- You will not be allowed under any circumstance to burn anything for cooking or heat. That would contribute to global warming.

How to be really efective in Public Speaking
Your voice will give you away
It's extremely difficult to read a speech and sound as if you mean it.
For most of us, when reading, posture changes, the throat tightens and people can tell. Reading is different from speaking, and a different sort of attention is paid.
Before you give a speech, then, you must do one of two things if your goal is to persuade:
Learn to read the same way you speak (unlikely)
or, learn to speak without reading. Learn your message well enough that you can communicate it without reading it. We want your humanity.
If you can't do that, don't bother giving a speech. Just send everyone a memo and save time and stress for all concerned.

On April 16, 1963, King wrote: “As the Apostle Paul carried the gospel of Jesus Christ…so am I compelled to carry the gospel…I must make two ho...nest confessions to you, my Christian and Jewish brothers…I stand in the middle of two opposing forces…One is a force of complacency…The other force is one of bitterness and hatred, and it comes perilously close to advocating violence. It is expressed in the various black nationalist groups…the largest being Elijah Muhammad’s Muslim movement. Nourished by frustration over racial discrimination, this movement is made up of people who have lost faith in America…I have tried to stand between these two forces…for there is the more excellent way of love.”
Martin Luther King concluded: “One day the South will know that when these disinherited children of God sat down at lunch counters they were standing up for what is best in the American dream and for the most sacred values in our Judeo-Christian heritage.”
If only today's leaders who invoke the name of Dr King would follow his sound reason. We have few such today. That includes Jesse Jackson sr and jr and Rev Al Sharpton who are thin shadows of the greatness of Dr King. There are some who are great, but they are reviled because they left the plantation and do not follow the liberal party line demanded by the race baiters. Voices like Dr King's are silenced today by a confederation of greedy power hungry misleaders.

If only today's leaders who invoke the name of Dr King would follow his sound reason. We have few such today. That includes Jesse Jackson sr and jr and Rev Al Sharpton who are thin shadows of the greatness of Dr King. There are some who are great, but they are reviled because they left the plantation and do not follow the liberal party line demanded by the race baiters. Voices like Dr King's are silenced today by a confederation of greedy power hungry misleaders.

One of the saddest displays of cruelty and tyranny I’ve seen in the last couple of years was the images and video of North Koreans, lined up in public and wailing at the loss of their oppressor Kim Jong-Il. Leave it to the communists to make people stand in lines and cry.
I have to show photo ID to get on a plane, to buy drain cleaner (in IL), to buy ammo for my gun, to use my visa card (I didn't sign it), to buy sudafed for a cold, to cash a check at my bank, to have my cell phone company access my account but in some states I don't have to show a Picture ID to vote. Why is voting in our nation held in such low esteem as to not require that you are who you are...?? What is the left hiding. ANYONE can get a Photo ID, they need it every day. I do. What IS the problem here??

What Valerie Jarrett does best is represent the Obama administration in microcosm. She embodies its insularity, its cronyism, its cluelessness. Born in Iran to a prominent African-American family from Chicago, she took degrees at Stanford and Michigan Law. She worked briefly as a corporate lawyer but hated every moment. So she decided to “give back,” which is Chicago code for cashing in. She campaigned for Harold Washington, Chicago’s first black mayor, and worked for him in the corporation counsel’s office. Washington died in 1987, but Jarrett remained in government, working for his successor, Mayor Richard M. “Richie” Daley, son of legendary boss Richard J. Daley. It was all upward from there.
Before long Jarrett stood at the intersection of private interest and public power. She became Daley’s deputy chief of staff and was later appointed to various boards and quasi-governmental agencies that award lucrative contracts—the Chicago Transit Board, the Commission for Planning and Development for the City of Chicago, the University of Chicago Medical Center, and so on. Her social standing, combined with her positions in government and her well-compensated seats on the boards of many companies, magnified Jarrett’s power. She knew everybody. Everybody wanted to know her.

Community Economic Independance Index
One can measure the capacity of any community to be independently wealthy, independently prosperous.
If you take where I live, Fox Valley, St Charles, Geneva, Batavia and remove components known to not be directly contributory to the economy of the marketplace, in other words these components live FROM the marketplace, produce no GDP, are simply money transfers, even if beneficial, you will discover quickly what the remainder is and that will be the Community Economic Independence Index.
Take all incomes from all individuals in the community, then, subtract those that are paid to people from Churches, Charitable Organizations, Government Salaries, Payments FROM government including Social Security, Welfare and any employee of agency funded by taxpayer dollars or charitable contributions.
That will leave business owners, people who work for them in business, agriculture (exclusive of payments made to farmers) and all others who by the work the do earn income for products or services rendered.
Nothing else counts. Sorry.
The net of that calculation, even informally, will give you good reason to understand why and how some communities seem to prosper and some seem to founder.
If you take adjacent cities of Elgin or Aurora in the Fox Valley, you quickly see the difference. Same geography, same river runs thru, but the net result is very different.
I know this isn't a popular viewpoint, but we must see the truth. Working in a charity, being in the ministry or working in government shouldn't be a way to be enriched. If you do, you are not serving for serving sake and you are NOT contributing to the economy. What y0u do may be valuable, but it doesn't foster economic independence.
