Chill in the air

This is chilling. The left wing is really becoming more and more totalitarian. Speech control. and A bit antisemitic perhaps ...from the comments to this post:
I have a big problem with public tax payer money going to political discretion. I have no problem advocating a matter of taste in art, but we should not tolerate a vibrant political sphere in the United States that is acceptable to half the country as a reason to reject the ideas of it's speaker. That might not be law... but I would do everything I could to push it if it isn't. Rejecting someone because of a broad American term like Conservative is ugly. I'm from a family that might feel likewise about Conservatism, and I believe it is an ugly point of view. That said... I don't like the smell here and I'm guessing this is some Juden Hass going down.

POOP

Not everyone who digs you out is your friend. Reminds me of the JOKE: A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold; the bird froze up and fell to the ground in a large field. While it was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on it. As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, it began to realize how warm it was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.

A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him!

The morals of this story are:

Not everyone who poops on you is your enemy.
Not everyone who rescues you from your poopy life is your friend.
And when you're in really deep poop, keep your mouth shut!

There is a robin's nest outside our front door with baby robins in it. I won't disturb it, but I do need to use the door. When I am out there watering plants or some such, I am tweeted at loudly and aggressively. The robins want me to go away. They want me to retreat. Of course I ignore them, do my work and when I am done go inside. I'm sure in robindom there are tales of how they drove the large human away with their much tweeting. OF course it had nothing to do with it. They will not however be turned from their narrow opinion. They remind me a great deal of the Occupy Protesters, the Wisconsin crackpots who tried to oust Walker and the fringe radical left wing in this country. Noise without meaning.

Shakespeare said it best: "Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player That struts and frets his hour upon the stage. And then is heard no more: it is a tale. Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing". Macbeth Act 5

BIZOP for jail

Now that Illinois has just Bumped Cigarette taxes a buck to almost $2 per pack, big money will be made bootlegging smokes from Missouri (.17), Virginia (.30), Louisiana (.32), Georgia, North Dakota and Alabama are all a buck and a half cheaper in taxes than Illinois. BUT, I'm sure no one will even think of importing cheap smokes. Who would buy them and besides it's against the law...look at how well it works in New York. SMH! If I weren't honest and a christian I'd make a trip to Missouri about once a week and come home to Chicago. With only .50 markup per pack, I could make $120 grand per year minus expenses bringing in only 200 cartons a week ... Fuel and the cost of fines and Bail from Jail when I get caught. Many will. This is a case of creating criminals. But that's what bad law does.

IF you are about 60 years or older..hear this!!

A very wise Chinese philosophy of life and wealth. Ponder and remember to practice these wise words.....

Sixty plus and Going Strong.

(Translated from the original in Chinese)

“There are 1000-year old trees in the mountain, but not many 100 year-old people”

At the most, you live until 100 years old (only 1 in 100,000).

If you live until 90, you only have 30 years.

If you live until 80, you only have 20 years.

Because you don’t have many years to live, and you can’t bring along things when you go, you don’t have to be too thrifty.

Spend the money that should be spent, enjoy what should be enjoyed, donate what you are able to donate, but don’t leave all to your children or grandchildren, for you don’t want them to become “parasites”.

Don’t worry about what will happen after you are gone, because when you return to dust, you will feel nothing about praises or criticisms.

Don’t worry too much about your children for “children will have their own destiny and find their own way. Don’t be your children’s slave”

Don’t expect too much from your children. Caring children, though caring, would be too busy with their jobs and commitments to render any help.

Uncaring children may fight over your assets even when you are still alive, and wish for your early demise so they can inherit your properties.

Your children take for granted that they are rightful heirs to your wealth; but you have no claims to their money.

60-year olds like you, don’t trade in your health for wealth anymore;

Because your money may not be able to buy your health.

When to stop making money, and how much is enough (hundred thousands, million, ten million)? “Out of thousand hectares of good farm land,

you can only consume three quarts (of rice) daily; out of a thousand of mansions, you only need eight square meters of space to rest at night”.

So as long as you have enough food and enough money to spend, that is good enough.

So you should live happily. Every family has its own problems. Just do not compare with others for fame and social status and see whose children are doing better, etc. but challenge others for happiness, health and longevity.

Don’t worry about things that you can’t change because it doesn’t help and it may spoil your health.

You have to create your own well-being and find your own happiness;

As long as you are in good mood, think about happy things, do happy things daily and have fun in doing, then you will pass your time happily every day.

One day passes, you will lose one day;

One day passes with happiness, and then you gain one day.

In good spirit, sickness will cure; in good spirit, sickness will cure fast; in good spirit; sickness will never come.

With good mood, suitable amount of exercise, always in the sun, variety of foods, reasonable amount of vitamin and mineral intake, hopefully you will live another 20 or 30 years of healthy life.

How to spot a sociopath - 10 red flags that could save you from being swept under the influence of a charismatic nut job

10 signs for spotting a sociopath

#1) Sociopaths are charming. Sociopaths have high charisma and tend to attract a following just because people want to be around them. They have a "glow" about them that attracts people who typically seek guidance or direction. They often appear to be sexy or have a strong sexual attraction. Not all sexy people are sociopaths, obviously, but watch out for over-the-top sexual appetites and weird fetishes.

#2) Sociopaths are more spontaneous and intense than other people. They tend to do bizarre, sometimes erratic things that most regular people wouldn't do. They are unbound by normal social contracts. Their behavior often seems irrational or extremely risky.

#3) Sociopaths are incapable of feeling shame, guilt or remorse. Their brains simply lack the circuitry to process such emotions. This allows them to betray people, threaten people or harm people without giving it a second thought. They pursue any action that serves their own self interest even if it seriously harms others.

#4) Sociopaths invent outrageous lies about their experiences. They wildly exaggerate things to the point of absurdity, but when they describe it to you in a storytelling format, for some reason it sounds believable at the time.

#5) Sociopaths seek to dominate others and "win" at all costs. They hate to lose any argument or fight and will viciously defend their web of lies, even to the point of logical absurdity.

#6) Sociopaths tend to be highly intelligent, but they use their brainpower to deceive others rather than empower them. Their high IQs often makes them dangerous. This is why many of the best-known serial killers who successfully evaded law enforcement were sociopaths.

#7) Sociopaths are incapable of love and are entirely self-serving. They may feign love or compassion in order to get what they want, but they don't actually FEEL love in the way that you or I do.

#8) Sociopaths speak poetically. They are master wordsmiths, able to deliver a running "stream of consciousness" monologue that is both intriguing and hypnotic. They are expert storytellers and even poets. As a great example of this in action, watch this interview of Charles Manson:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIfGj_55FHI

#9) Sociopaths never apologize. They are never wrong. They never feel guilt. They can never apologize. Even if shown proof that they were wrong, they will refuse to apologize and instead go on the attack.

#10) Sociopaths are delusional and literally believe that what they say becomes truth merely because they say it! Charles Manson, the sociopathic murderer, is famous for saying, "I've never killed anyone! I don't need to kill anyone! I THINK it! I have it HERE! (Pointing to his temple.) I don't need to live in this physical realm..."

Contrary to what your u9 soccer trophy suggests, your glowing seventh grade report card, despite every assurance of a certain corpulent purple dinosaur, that nice Mister Rogers and your batty Aunt Sylvia, no matter how often your maternal caped crusader has swooped in to save you… you’re nothing special.
Yes, you’ve been pampered, cosseted, doted upon, helmeted, bubble-wrapped.  Yes, capable adults with other things to do have held you, kissed you, fed you, wiped your mouth, wiped your bottom, trained you, taught you, tutored you, coached you, listened to you, counseled you, encouraged you, consoled you and encouraged you again.  You’ve been nudged, cajoled, wheedled and implored.  You’ve been feted and fawned over and called sweetie pie.  Yes, you have.  And, certainly, we’ve been to your games, your plays, your recitals, your science fairs.  Absolutely, smiles ignite when you walk into a room, and hundreds gasp with delight at your every tweet.  Why, maybe you’ve even had your picture in the Townsman!  [Editor's upgrade: Or The Swellesley Report!] And now you’ve conquered high school… and, indisputably, here we all have gathered for you, the pride and joy of this fine community, the first to emerge from that magnificent new building…

What happened in Wisconsin was important BUT not the last word. IF we are going to return our nation to a sound economic and moral footing, the battle will be long and hard fought. There will be significant opposition. The deception will be immense. Well meaning CHRISTIANS will partner in the voting booth with pro gay marriage, pro abortion, big spending socialistic policies and politicians. There is no real hope to change their minds. They have already decided. Blinded by mindless tradition. If you try to debate them you will become frustrated. Only enormous mobilization will keep this nation from a further downward free fall. Why declining Real Estate Values are GOOD for the economy and inflating House prices are not

Low house prices are good for the economy because low house prices make for low loan balances and less debt-service. When borrowers have excessive home debt, the excess comes directly out of disposable income. Since consumer spending is such an important component of the economy, the excess interest payments are a direct financial drain. As long as the debt on real estate is excessive and capital is tied up in non-performing assets, the economy will suffer. It’s really that simple. The solution is equally simple: foreclose on delinquent borrowers, wipe out the debt, and extract the remaining capital value. With the excess debt removed, borrowers can use their wage income to buy goods and services rather than giving it to the bank. When the mis-allocated capital is returned to the market, new investment will be spurred in areas where capital is most needed. Right now, we don’t need more real estate.

Nothing to see here on Wisconsin recall rout, White House says

"The President supported and stood by Tom Barrett, but I certainly wouldn't read much into yesterday's result beyond its effect on who's occupying the governor's seat in Wisconsin," Carney said in a question-and-answer session aboard Air Force One."What you had was an incumbent governor in a repeat election that he had won once, in which he outspent his challenger by a magnitude of 7 or 8 to 1, with an enormous amount of outside corporate money and huge donations, and you got essentially the same result," Carney said.

Obama. Expensive and offensive. And, expendable.

I am beginning to think 2010 was the biggest watershed moment evah! After 2008 the Democrats thought they could come out into the light. They now had control of every branch of government and they thought the country was ready to be Europe. Stimulus and Health Care were bold moves that scared the poop out of the electorate.

Remember democrats got destroyed at the ballot box everywhere in 2010 which included most state houses ( even Minnesota although we got Mark Dayton and I will never understand that one)

Scott Brown won and his MAIN message was a vote against health care. So Obama can't run on his record because the people effectively told him "absolutely not" in 2010.

Think about it. He has to run on an absolutely terrible economic record, a bigger debt problem than the previous guy, and he now has to go back into "liberal hiding" because the country already told him they had no appetite for socialism a couple years ago.

Even when he tries to blame the Republicans in congress it seems so half-hearted and empty because he has to know that those Republicans are there because the country wanted them to do what they are doing and that is keep him from implementing more liberal agenda.

I keep thinking about how his resume will look come January 2013 when he is back in the unemployed work force...maybe like this?

  • Former pot head and recognized by peers as "The Choom King."
  • Didn't study in HS. Just drank beer and did coke and hung out at the beach.
  • Somehow got into Occidental, Columbia, and Harvard Law School, but I can't show you any of my college records so don't even ask. Also, don't ask me how I paid for any of it.
  • A couple years as a college law professor...er, make that a college law lecturer.
  • A couple years as a community organizer on Chicago's south side. My favorite nut was ACORNs.
  • A couple years as State Senator in Illinois. My biggest legislative accomplishment was the "if-the-abortion-didn't-kill-them-you have-legal-cover-to-kill-the-baby-after-the-abortion-is-over" bill.
  • Four years as a US Senator from IL. No real accomplishments to speak of...what the heck, I was only there 140 days in four years!
  • Kind of wrote two autobiographies by the time I was 40. Cool, huh?
  • Elected president of the USA -- cool, huh? (Michelle finally has a reason to be proud of her country.)
  • Won Nobel Peace Prize after only 10 days as president. I didn't do anything show up in Oslo to collect the prize money and then cash the check. Cool, huh?
  • Lost the 2012 election because I really didn't get much of anything worthwhile done in spite of four years in office. Cool, huh?
  • I know lots of rich folks, but most of them are typical white people. Cool, huh?
Let's get this thing over with...

Rick Perry: Electing Barack Obama Was Our National "Oops" Moment

"People ask me 'what was it like to run for the presidency of the United States?' and I tell them, I say let me tell you, I was the frontrunner for a while and it was the three most exhilarating hours of my life," he quipped to delegates at the North Carolina Republican Convention.

His penchant for self-deprecating humor and one-liners was on full display, even as he tried to score points at President Barack Obama's expense.

"Three and a half years, nearly 100 rounds of golf. Barack Obama has exploded the debt in this country. He has passed a stimulus program that grew government and not the economy. He socialized health care and he armed Mexican drug cartels," Perry said.

"Admit it America, 2008 was our national “oops” moment," he added — a reference to his infamous debate gaffe.

Deafening Silence from Obama on OIL

REMEMBER when oil price was nearly $110 a barrel in February and Pres Obama was yelling at speculators, how they controlled the market, how they were unduly profiting from oil price increases? How $4 a gallon gasoline wasn't his fault. I was critical of him on Facebook for his pitiful understanding of economics. His obvious lack of sophistication in markets is profound. Now oil is down around $83 and gasoline is UNDER $3 in some states (who don't have insane left wing governments like Illinois). I haven't heard a peep. The oil price fall is because speculators don't have confidence in the world economy and it's ability to use all the oil being produced. $3 gasoline isn't to his credit either. It's the economy. I wish he would stop the blaming and demagoguery. It's frankly makes him look stupid and the people that actually believe him appear weak minded. IF he had a few market savvy advisers rather than all those pointy headed academics on his staff, maybe he could sound a bit more intelligent. SMH.
