I have long been a fan of and subscriber to the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. They do a fabulous job. If you enjoy Shakespeare as much as I do, you will find what Barbara Gaines has done amazing. This fine tribute to her work and passion is a worthy read.
Anyone can direct Shakespeare's plays, but few can get a wide array of people to engage with the Bard. For 25 years, Chicago Shakespeare Theater's founder and artistic director has found the way.
