It's more important to meet with GAYS in Russia than Putin.
I mean, not that
there is anything going on in the middle east. Got to get the Gay
Revolution going there like he has already done here. Maybe he can
initiate gay marriage there like he did here. SMH!!
From Our President a few years ago. I agree with his last line
"Now let me be clear—I suffer no illusions about Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal man. A ruthless man. A man who butchers his own people to secure his own power. He has repeatedly defied UN resolutions, thwarted UN inspection teams, developed chemical and biological weapons, and coveted nuclear capacity.
He’s a bad guy. The world, and the Iraqi people, would be better off without him.
But I also know that Saddam poses no imminent and direct threat to the United States, or to his neighbors, that the Iraqi economy is in shambles, that the Iraqi military a fraction of its former strength, and that in concert with the international community he can be contained until, in the way of all petty dictators, he falls away into the dustbin of history.
I know that even a successful war against Iraq will require a US occupation of undetermined length, at undetermined cost, with undetermined consequences. I know that an invasion of Iraq without a clear rationale and without strong international support will only fan the flames of the Middle East, and encourage the worst, rather than best, impulses of the Arab world, and strengthen the recruitment arm of al-Qaeda.
I am not opposed to all wars. I’m opposed to dumb wars."
O can do no wrong, even when he is.
Not that any of this will matter to anyone. It's all become political now.
Police State.
If we do not fight for our rights today, those who homeschool will face just such a fate in the USA.

The
“unmatched” superpower cannot impose its will on Kabul kleptocrats,
Pashtun goatherds, Egyptian generals, or Benghazi militia. There is no
reason to believe Syria would be an exception to this rule. America’s
inability to win ought to be a burning national question, but it’s not
even being asked.
I am not for this attack on Syria. That much is clear.
Putin has called the
Administration in the USA "Pathetic" for it's misinformation and vapid
arm waving. We have no face left to lose. So let's suppose we go in a
bomb a few helicopters and air bases. Like a bad game of tag we say to
Assad, "tag, your it". Iran, who is itching for a reason gets pushy
and fights back. Assad will emerge and announce he has survived this
pathetically weak attack and spit in Obama's face. You think Obama
look's weak NOW?! What then? Never start a fight you don't plan on
finishing. But that's our foreign policy. Who actually voted for this
guy... anyone admit to it?
Do you know this man?
He grew up in Chicago. Near Cabrini Green. Went
to public High School in Indianapolis. Today he is CEO of the McDonalds
Corporation. His paycheck last year was $13,751,919. Why don't we
know his name? Why is he not honored
for his achievement as an example (other than Sports and Rap stars) of
the way up? No, instead the community spurred on by comrade Jan
Shakowsky (Democrat from IL) criticize him for earning too much money. I
guess you can't have a brother earning that kind of money. IF you
don't know him, you should and he should be celebrated. When I was a
kid I idolized such men. Not sports or music stars. I wanted to be
just like them and in a soft way, I am, at least in ambition. Here's
the disgusting truth about how the democrat party treats those who
should be leaders. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/09/05/Schakowsky-Blasts-Black-CEO-for-Making-Too-Much-Money
Israel now realizes it is alone... The USA is a paper tiger without backbone or leadership
“Until Saturday, Obama’s Middle East policies were generally regarded
by the Arab world as confused and incoherent,” notes the Times of
Israel. “As of Saturday, he will be
perceived as one of the weakest presidents in American history. That
scent of weakness has emphatically reached Iran. . . . Khamenei and his
advisers recognize that the likelihood of this administration using
military force against a country with Iran’s military capability are
very low, if not nonexistent. And they’re not the only ones who realize
this. The same conclusions are being drawn by Hezbollah and al-Qaeda.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his cabinet colleagues, who will
doubtless have been watching the Rose Garden speech, will have
internalized what they had long suspected: that Washington will not be
the place from which good news will emanate about thwarting Iran’s
nuclear drive.”

I argue factually that there is a strict tone of hypocrisy concerning those who call themselves "Pro-Choice!" Observe the following:
1. How can a person be pro choice, if he or she opposes people having the option to pay into social security or not?
2. How can a person be pro choice, if he or she believes that a florists should not have the choice to decide whether or not to sell to a gay couples' wedding?
3. How can a person be pro choice, if he or she believes the courts should force a man to pay child support, or he runs the risk of wage garnishment or imprisonment?
4. How can a person be pro choice, if he or she believes federal tax dollars should be forced to pay for funding abortion clinics, even if those people oppose abortion?
5. How can a person be pro choice, if he or she believe our children should not be allowed to go to any school he or she wants?
6. How can a person be pro choice, if he or she is opposed to a 'right to work' states who do not force people to join unions and pay fees?
7. How can a person be pro choice, if he or she believes in regulations regarding how much soda a person can drink in a restaurant?
8. How can a person be pro choice, if he or she believes in what is called 'hate speech legislation' to silence those who disagree with their position?
9. How can a person be pro choice, if he or she believes people do not have a right to keep what they earn?
A devotion from my Friend Harold....
DEVOTION FOR DAD, MOM, THREE DAUGHTERS - SEPT. 1- 8, 2013
I've been thinking about anger lately. It's all around us; sometimes, in us. You hear it in words. You see it in looks. You see it on TV, in movies, and you read of it in newspapers, editorials, op ed pieces.
When I did wrong or spoke wrong words in my kid days, my Dad got angry. When brother Orv and I got into arguments and fights, my Dad got angry. And we soon felt it, meted out on our behinds. The righteous anger of parents is one way for kids to understand what is right and wrong.
There are differing opinions today about parental spanking of kids, but the Bible does give a divine opinion in Proverbs 13:24, and other verses. In our day as kids, Dad was usually the enforcer and Mom the comforter. Both Law and Gospel are necessary in the training of children.
Jesus, the One of whom we sing, "meek and mild", also got angry. Note that in Mark 3;1-6, when He healed a man on the Sabbath day in the synagog, the Pharisees got very angry and scolded Him for "working" on the holy day of rest. Jesus, in turn, "looked at them with anger"(v.5). How angry should we be when some people (even church members), like Pharisees, insist on legalism as the only "godly' way? "Do things, and speak and sing the 'right' way, like we used to do it. We never did it that way before".
In Mark 10:13-16 we note the disciples' complaining attitude ("indignant", "angry") toward parents who would bring babes in arms for Jesus to bless. Jesus, in turn, was" indignant " about their attitude . How angry should I be about parents who ought to "bring up their children in the fear and discipline of the Lord" (Eph.6:4), but don't, who fail to bring them to the grace the Spirit offers their children in Baptism, "which now saves us"(1 Pet. 3:21)?
As a pastor, I got more upset about parents who had children baptized, but did nothing about teaching them. In Matt. 28 Jesus said, "...baptize all nations, teaching them....". If there is a baptizing of a child, there should follow a teaching. If a child, a teen, or adult can be taught, he/she should also be baptized.
Jesus was far from pleased (He was really angry) when people bought and sold in the temple (Mark 11:15-17). They made God's house of prayer a merchandise mart. How angry should we be about 21st century "Simons" (Acts 8:18-21) who siphon money in the name of Jesus from worshipers' pockets into their own?
Anger over sin and wrongdoing is not ungodly. It may seem strange to read in the Bible these words, "be angry! " However, it goes on to say,"...but do not sin!" (Eph. 4:26). God would have us take care of our anger; don't let it linger all day long. Cain failed to deal with his anger, but let it turn to hatred and then murder
(Gen.4:3-6).
How do we deal with anger? The apostle shows us in Eph. 4:28, "...forgive one another, as God, for Christ's sake, has forgiven you". God, righteously angry over the sin of the world, our sin, dealt with it on the cross. He "made His Son to be sin for us, that in Him we might become the righteousness of God" (2 Cor.5:21). Being made right with Him by faith in His Son, "we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Rom. 5:1). That blessed peace moves us to deal with anger, to live in love, forgiveness and at peace, with one another.
Dear God, You, being holy, hate all sin and wrong, not only actions and words, but our very thoughts, even our unrighteous anger toward others. Help us to be angry in the right way over all that is wrong and evil, all that which is against Your will and Your Word. Thank You for parents and others who let us know when we did wrong. Thank You for leading us to realize that they loved us but hated the wrong. Thank You that they were used by You to lead us to the One who did all things right for us, even dying for our sins, Your Son Jesus, our Savior. Help us not only to share and show others what is wrong in Your eyes, but to share the right way to forgiveness, hope, true life and salvation. Help us to share with others the love of Jesus who lived and died to make the world right with You. By Your Spirit, give them and us the peace that passes all understanding, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Targeting jobless is out of line. Demeaning the nation's unemployed is a tasteless political tactic — one not backed up by facts
In the chicago Tribune today there was an article by Rex Huppke
Targeting jobless is out of line.
Demeaning the nation's unemployed is a tasteless political tactic — one not backed up by facts
Unless you are an on line tribune subscriber you will have to google it to read it.
It's labor day. I have a question for those who support the jobless.
IF it is because of an ailment, or a deficiency, or some other problem not their doing then you are an angel.
IF it is because they simply do not want to work, then what make you of the Biblical Admonition, "if they do not work, they should not eat'. I'm talking about men here.
I have an example. I ran into an old friend. She lives in the suburbs with her husband. I know them both well. Love them. In order not to be misunderstood, they are Anglo and they are Christians... big time Christians.
IF you saw them in the grocery store, they look like me.
The problem is, HE, the husband, not yet 50 doesn't want to work any more. They aren't making it. Sometimes he takes on a part time job as a waiter or such and if he makes a few hundred bucks, he feels like he has done his part. They don't make it. Once already bankrupt. She makes all the money. She loves him. They have been married a long time. He is healthy as a horse... just really lazy.
She hustles hard doing whatever she can to make a living, but between the little bit he brings in, and her income they scrape by most months except when they don't.
OH he ONCE had a good job. But it was really hard work.. so now he just does nothing.
I don't want to see a divorce. I want to see him get off his rear. IF she were your friend what advice would you give? How can she get this lazy bum off his bum.
YES some that are unemployed are unemployed by choice not chance. These deserve our disdain and ridicule.
He has skills... he just doesn't want to work. He's a really nice guy. When people talk to him about this, he makes no real excuse. He's a charmer.
So, should he eat? Labor Day is for those who work... or should we honor those who do not?
What say ye?

Imagine the doctor's receptionists deciding whether you get treated or not when you call the doctor's office....
This in universal Health Care England. Just wait till 19 year old Brittany or Tiffany tells you that NOPE you can't see the Doctor and NOPE I won't let you talk to anyone else. I'm in charge here. That'll be great. (Said in my Bill Lumburg voice)
I know I have been hard on public education.
IF there were a government
program and taxes to support buggy whip factories and employees at
higher than average salaries I would be just as adamant. Just so you
understand, I will not mourn the death
of public education. Part of the slack will be made up by private
schools, tutoring and on line. This is a glimpse into the future of
education. It's public but it costs nothing. And kids actually learn
stuff.
dihydrogen oxide pollution?
OK, this has GOT to be a joke. IF you can find the
punch line I'll laugh. I am astounded... I hope I got suckered in... I
would feel better. IF I didn't, I am really astounded.
“The world faces a crisis,” the president intoned, “and America must lead. We have taken the first step by limiting carbon emissions, but that cannot be effective unless we deal with the larger menace posed by dihydrogen oxide pollution as well. Since Congress has failed in its duty to pass the required laws, I, as president, am directing the EPA to move unilaterally to issue and enforce appropriate regulations.”

ANOTHER LABOR DAY RANT
I mentioned a no work husband earlier. Now, I visited an old friend of
mine. He is 70 years old. Not married, divorced. He still works, but
makes very little money. He is on social security. Has had constant
money trouble as long as I have known him. I have helped him from time
to time.
Here's the rub. He has a 40 year old son that live with him. Able bodied. Mind is OK. He's just lazy. Plays video games all day long. No job. Lives off the government best he can. AND lives off his dad rent free. I have recommended to his dad that he toss his butt out on the street. He is not well socialized. Doesn't do drugs or drink. Just plays video games. He takes an occasional odd job for pocket money. His dad pays all his living expenses including the internet connection. He doesn't pay for his food.
Here's what bothers me. His dad will not live forever. He is in poor health. When dad dies, his estate is zero. Doesn't even own his house, the bank will take that. So the kid will eventually be on his own. There are no other relatives. IS IT mercy to support a man who will not work?
I have recommended that he should be put out now. Help him establish on his own. He can help him. This man is not able to act on tough love. This is sad.

This sounds a lot like a Shofar.
I don't know what to make of this... I listened to it twice. Now I am wondering.
It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. 1 Corinthians 15:52
So, have you seen your long lost relatives yet?? They did on Good Friday.

I guess we are going to be on Al Qaeda's side since they are the ones fighting against the Syrian government.
So
who are we helping by bombing Syria? The Syrian people? I don't think
so, the truth is that the war in Syria has turned into a battle between
Al Qaeda and Hezbollah. I ask you, can you trust anything either of
these groups tell us about whats going on there? Is this a reason to go to war? My have things changed since 9/11,
I guess we are going to be on Al Qaeda's side since they are the ones fighting against the Syrian government. Maybe it's some kind of Dr. Frankenstein complex and we want to see our creation succeed.

Bush and Obama are the same.
I
thought there was this thing called the constitution that states only
the congress can declare war? The media can call striking Syria a
"limited campaign" if they want, the truth is it's a war. Pick up a text
book from the 70's and see what they
called Vietnam. It wasn't a war either, it was called a conflict.
Remember the names of the congress men and women that stay silent during
this build up to war. Wake up people Bush and Obama are the same.

Conservative Health Care Plans that are BETTER than OBAMACARE and most were introduced BEFORE Obamacare
I am fed up with the MEME that Obama and the rest of the pinheads in government that keep proclaiming, The Republicans have no health care plan. Long before these guys ever saw the inside of the Oval Office and since there are DOZENS of competent plan. Some created by actual doctors. BUT NOOOO. That's no good. We have to come up with a brainless scheme to wreck the economy. Well read it... PLEASE.... Here are some better than Obamacare proposed legistation that the Liberals didn't like. They are idiots.
Comprehensive Republican health reform plans introduced in Congress
Let’s start with 5 comprehensive health reform proposals that have actually been introduced in Congress—some well before President Obama even was nominated for president, and all months before the House (11/7/09) or Senate (12/24/09) voted on what eventually became Obamacare.
Likewise, conservative market-oriented health policy scholars have developed a rich menu of potential replacement plans for Obamacare:

- Ten Steps to Transform Health Care in America Act (S. 1783) introduced by Senator Mike Enzi (R-WY) July 12, 2007.
- Every American Insured Health Act introduced by Senators Richard Burr (R-NC) and Bob Corker (R-TN) with co-sponsors Tom Coburn (R-OK), Mel Martinez (formerly R-FL) and Elizabeth Dole (formerly R-NC) on July 26, 2007.
- Senators Bob Bennett (R-UT) and Ron Wyden (D-OR) introduced the Healthy Americans Act on January 18, 2007 and re-introduced the same bill on February 5, 2009.
- Patients’ Choice Act of 2009 introduced by Senators Tom Coburn (R-OK) and Richard Burr (R-NC) and Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Devin Nunes (R-CA) on May 20, 2009.
- H.R. 2300, Empowering Patients First Act introduced July 30, 2009 by Rep. Tom Price (R-GA).
Likewise, conservative market-oriented health policy scholars have developed a rich menu of potential replacement plans for Obamacare:
- Individual Pay or Play proposed in 2005 by John Goodman; this is a minimalist version of a broader reform envisaged by Goodman built on converting the tax exclusion into universal tax credits.
- Health Status Insurance originally proposed by John Cochrane in 1995.
- Universal Health Savings Accounts proposed by John Goodman and Peter Ferrara in 2012. This combines fixed tax credits with individual pay or play and health status insurance concepts along with Roth-style Health Savings Accounts.
- Fixed tax credits.
A variety of proposals have centered on using fix tax credits to
replace the current inefficient and unfair tax exclusion for
employer-provided health benefits. Two good explanations of how that
would work are here:
- James C. Capretta and Robert E. Moffit, “How to Replace Obamacare,” National Affairs, no. 11 (Spring 2012).
- James C. Capretta. Constructing an Alternative to Obamacare: Key Details for a Practical Replacement Program. American Enterprise Institute, December 2012.
- Income-Related Tax Credits proposed by Mark Pauly and John Hoff in Responsible Tax Credits (2002) and endorsed by the American Medical Association. More recently, 8 scholars from Harvard, University of Chicago, and USC–Jay Bhattacharya, Amitabh Chandra, Michael Chernew, Dana Goldman, Anupam Jena, Darius Lakdawalla,Anup Malani and Tomas Philipson—released Best of Both Worlds: Uniting Universal Coverage and Personal Choice in Health Care (2013) which also is built around a model of individual health insurance subsidized with income-related tax credits.
- Flexible Benefits Tax Credit For Health Insurance by Lynn Etheredge in 2001.
- Near-Universal Health Insurance Exchanges proposed in 2001 by Sara Singer, Alan Garber and Alain Enthoven (covers only non-elderly).
- Universal Health Insurance Exchanges proposed in 2013 by former CBO director Douglas Holtz-Eakin and Avik Roy (covers Medicare and Medicaid in addition to privately insured).
