I know I have been hard on public education.

 IF there were a government program and taxes to support buggy whip factories and employees at higher than average salaries I would be just as adamant. Just so you understand, I will not mourn the death of public education. Part of the slack will be made up by private schools, tutoring and on line. This is a glimpse into the future of education. It's public but it costs nothing. And kids actually learn stuff.
