Why the United Auto Worker's Government Bailout Must Be Stopped

Listening to Mark Levin last night he referenced an analysis of the way out of balance union salaries in the big three auto makers and the rest of us.

UAW workers earn $75 an hour in wages and benefits--almost triple the earnings of the average private sector worker. Detroit autoworkers have substantially more health, retirement, and paid time off benefits than most Americans. These benefits, and a JOBS bank that pays UAW workers nearly full wages to not work, have been a major force driving the Detroit automakers’ current fiscal woes. Consequently, Congress should not force all Americans to pay for high wages and benefits for UAW workers.

Taxpayers Should Not Bail Out the UAW

By seeking a bailout, the UAW, along with the Detroit automakers, are asking taxpayers to help keep UAW earnings at $75 an hour when the typical American takes home a third that much. The Big Three also want Congress to use taxpayers’ money to pay billions of dollars into the new health care VEBA, thereby funding health care benefits for UAW retirees that are far more generous than those provided by an already under-funded Medicare system.

UAW workers understandably want to preserve the standard of living to which they have become accustomed, but that standard is not sustainable in a competitive economy. Congress should not tax all Americans in order to maintain UAW workers’ affluent lifestyles.

Anthropogenic Continental Drift: An Incoherent Truth
By Ivan Betinov
1/7/2008, 9:25 pm

Industrial Nations Threaten Globe Again

A new menace to the planet has been discovered and validated by a consensus of politically reliable scientists: Anthropogenic Continental Drift (ACD) will result in catastrophic damage and untold suffering, unless immediate indemnity payments from the United Sates, Europe, and Australia be made to the governments of non-industrial nations, to counteract this man-made threat to the world's habitats.

~

Science in Unquestionable

The continents rest on massive tectonic plates. Until the beginning of the Industrial Revolution in the mid 18th century, these plates were fixed in place and immobile. However, drilling for oil and mining for minerals has cut these plates loose from their primordial moorings and left them to drift aimlessly. "The potential for damage is truly catastrophic," said Hans Brinker, a spokesman for the International Panel on Continental Drift (IPCD). "The continents are adrift due to the ruthless capitalist exploitation of the environment for profit. Unless immediate steps are taken to halt all oil and mineral extraction, we can expect a massive surge in earthquakes and volcanos by next Tuesday." The representative seemed close to tears during his announcement, a clear indicator of the severity of the threat.

Villages in Peril

The IPCD bureaucracy has gone even further, proposing immediate indemnity payments from the United Sates and Europe be paid to the governments of non-industrial nations. "These non-industrial nations will be hardest hit by the looming catastrophe. No right-thinking scientist can question that," pronounced Brinker after composing himself. "On one coast they will see increased surf levels on their beaches as their continents accelerate, while on the opposite coast the flow turbulence will wipe out entire ecologically appropriate semi-neolithic fishing villages." These villages, it must be pointed out, are the primary raisers of children. Only massive infusions of industrial-nation cash can avert these effects.

China and India will be exempted from these indemnities; as non-European nations they have automatic victim-status and thus cannot be held accountable for ACD, despite their industrial economies. South Korea and Japan, as nominal allies of the United States, however, will be subjected to the same penalties as their allies. If the measure is passed by the United Nations, all penalty monies will be paid into the IPCD General Fund, which will cover the continuing study of ACD and disburse funds to deserving member states.

Polar Bears in Peril

"Due to the wanton recklessness of these industrialized nations, life on earth faces both rising and falling seas as North America plows toward Asia," explained IPCD-approved geophysicist Naseem Passapotapissalong of Indonesia. "What's more, millions of polar bears will be subject to drowning as the continent drifts away from them."

Data is 'Air France' Tight and Undeniable

This widening of the Atlantic is taking place at an astounding rate, according to indisputable IPCD scientific data. Today it costs almost a third again as much to fly an Air France jet from New York to Paris than it did in 1997, a clear indicator that the ocean has indeed increased in size in the past decade. Surface shipping rates have likewise increased dramatically.

"This is a clear and reliable indicator of the speed of ACD," said Passapotapissalong, "much more so than the global positioning satellite data often cited by 'Continental Drift Deniers.' The GPS system was, after all, originally created by the US military to enhance their empire-building program, and we all know who controls the US military." He paused at this point and pulled his ears out to each side, a clear reference to the ape-like countenance of the American president.

"Although these so-called 'scientists' claim that there is no GPS data to support the rapid widening of the Atlantic Ocean, they are all employees of American corporations or have been paid to falsify their data by the American government. Air France fuel costs are a much more reliable indicator of distance flown." He added that he and his right-thinking colleagues had "nothing to gain" by presenting their findings, pointing out that their stipends, expenses and salaries were drawn from the IPCD General Fund, not corporate or government grants.

Representatives from all continents will converge on the last geologically stable point on earth, the Island of Oahu, later this month for the "First International Conference on Anthropogenic Continental Drift." Organizers stress that the location, despite being part of the United States, was chosen solely due to its geological stability and that the venue has nothing to do with climate, accommodations, or the availability of private jet hanger space.

"We are here to decide the fate of the planet," said Brinker. "After a tough day of negotiations, it is essential that delegates have a stable beach to stroll, a cocktail lounge that isn't bouncing around due to continental whiplash, and ladies of negotiable affection whose balance has not been affected by sudden surges of continental acceleration. Without these, we might make some crazy decisions."

If you are a Too Busy Pastor - it's your fault

A really good question is asked by a Pastor of 30 years who no longer is leading a church. He asks. WHY DO YOU GO TO CHURCH? The question is good but the implications are critical for anyone who leads a church. The highlights in RED are mine.

From Bruce

I want you to think about this question for a moment. Why do you go to Church? I am using the word Church in the popular American sense……going to a particular place to meet on a specific date with a specific group of people.

Someone will quickly reply….I go to Church because the Bible commands to:

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. (Heb 10:23-25 ESV)

So the reason you go to Church is because you are commanded to? You go to Church because you are required to do so?

I fear many people take their current religious practice and read it back into the Biblical text. How do we know that what we are currently doing even remotely resembles what Paul is speaking about here in Hebrews 10:23-25?

The above mentioned text gives three reasons for meeting together:

  • Stir up one another to love
  • Stir up one another to good works
  • Encouraging one another

Pray tell me how going to a building to watch a paid religious worker perform even comes close to these three reasons for meeting together?

Most people who attend Church are passive. The staff does the work and they sit in the pew judging the performance based on their own personal feelings and preferences.

I used to blame this phenomena on the Church membership but having left the pastorate I now see things from a different perspective. In many instances Church members have a great desire to serve, to work, to be involved, but it is the professional paid religious workers that keep the Church members in their place. We are the clergy. We are the chosen ones, the ordained ones.

Professional paid church workers don’t like competition. Start when you are told to start.Sing when you are told to sing. Read when you are told to read. Listen when you are told to listen. Give when you are told to give. Leave when you are told to leave. If the professional paid church workers need help they will ask for it, until then know your place in the clergy-laity scheme of things.

I pastored my last Church in 2004. I have preached thousands of sermons and taught thousands of Sunday school classes. Over the past 4 years I have yet to have one Church ask if I would like to preach or teach. I have been asked to use my “geek” skills to build websites, fix computers, install sound equipment, etc (of which I am glad to do) but never once have I ever been asked to exercise the gifts that God gave me.

Why is that? I want to think well of professional paid church workers but I am coming to the conclusion that I am viewed as a threat. The clergy are known for being very territorial. Their Church. Their Pulpit. Their Kingdom.

Only one king can sit on the throne in their kingdom and that is going to be them. They never consider that I just might be a help and blessing to the Church. I have been in the ministry for 30 years now. I have learned a thing or two.

Sometimes I think they fear letting a liberal like me preach or teach. After all I might subvert the official doctrines of the paid professional church workers union. I might call into question the status quo. I am sure they say to themselves “My God have you read his blog? Would you want to turn him loose in your Church?”

My wife has had a similar experience. She is not a teacher nor is she one to lead, but she is quite gifted nonetheless. She has a empathetic heart. She listens well. She easily comforts others. Oh she can sing, plays the piano, and was a superb Pastor’s wife…….but her calling is primarily to work behind the scenes. The best offers my wife has received over the past 4 years?

  • Would you like to work in the nursery? (I am sure she wants to say Hell no, I raised 6 kids, Raise your own. Well this is really ME talking. She would have left out the hell)
  • Would you like to sing in the choir? Sure. When are practices? Oh we practice on Tuesday evening. My wife works evenings so any weeknight, evening activity is not possible.

That’s it. I humbly believe my wife and I have much to offer any Church yet we are unwanted and unused. Seems strong doesn’t it? But, it is the fact.

We have been encouraged numerous times to “start” our own Church? Why? So we can duplicate what there is too much of already? If I started a Church that reflected how I see things today and what I believe the Bible teaches about the Church I doubt anyone would come to it. I am not sure I would come to it.

What if what we call the Church today is not the Church at all? What if it is so corrupted, so polluted that it has long since ceased to be THE CHURCH?

This brings me back to my original question. Why do you go to Church? Be honest.

I have come to the conclusion that many times it is out of fear that people attend Church. Fear of displeasing God. Fear of displeasing the paid professional church workers. Fear of displeasing friends or family.

In my own life…….as I look at what I have walked away from, what I no longer believe…..I have a nagging fear……..what IF I am wrong. Man I am really going to fry in Hell.

As I have said before, 50 plus years of religion has robbed me of the love, grace and mercy of God. I see the love, grace and mercy of God in the Bible but in my day to day life I see those who follow him living lives of hate and judgmentalism. Thousands of sects all calling on the name of their god and consigning all others to flames of hell (or annihilation)

I find myself at the back door of the Church, starting out the door, one foot out the door, one foot still in the door. I am looking for one reason to turn around, sit down, and stay.

Maybe it is God who has walked out the door ahead of me and He is bidding me to Follow Him. Dare I be so arrogant to suggest a thing? I don’t know.

I do know this………I continue to meet more and more people like myself. A motley group of cast-offs who still love God but can not longer come to terms with the Church. Often accused of being rebels or backsliders this group desperately tries to find a place where they can meet together and stir one another up in love and good works and encourage one another.

We do not need another Church, movement, group or denomination. What we need is each other.

President Ahmadinejad of Iran takes Barack Obama's Call for a Meeting

How else would you do a Reduction in Force

This just happened and I thought you would want to see. According to the story, this was the note sent to Employees at a local company. I can't vouch for it, but, it is probably what is happening in our economy right now:

As the CFO of a business that employees 140 people, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barrack Obama is our next President, and that our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way.

To compensate for these increases, I figure that our customers will have to see an increase in our prices of about 8%.

However, since we cannot increase prices right now due to the dismal state of our economy, we will have to lay off six of our employees instead.

This has really been eating at me, as we believe we are family here and I didn’t know how to choose who will have to go.

So, this is what I did. I walked through our parking lot and found 6 Obama bumper stickers on our employees’ cars and have decided these folks will be the first to be laid off.

I can’t think of a more fair way to approach this problem. These folks wanted change; I gave it to them.

If you have a better idea, let me know.

Sincerely,

Your Former Boss

Of Martha's or Mary's Boys

This morning I read the poem by Rudyard Kipling The Sons of Martha aloud to Peggy. She has been so busy, taking care of kids, dogs, making strudel for a funeral all in all being a blessing to all around.

My friend Pastor Dan had a balance between the Mary and Martha of his nature. To the day he died he knew that if anything were to happen that was a blessing it had to have the hand of man on it, Martha's son.

I don't think the people of God understand well that we are the hands and feet that provide the blessings of God others thank him for. I turned on my light at my chair this morning. Lo, it lit. God allowed some son of Martha to load the coal or nuclear rods to cause that to happen. I was just blessed. So, read and think about those who provide what you see as blessing from God. It is, but he used Martha's boys to do it.

THE SONS OF MARTHA
by RUDYARD KIPLING

The Sons of Mary seldom bother, for they have inherited that good part;
But the Sons of Martha favour their Mother of the careful soul and the troubled heart.
And because she lost her temper once, and because she was rude to the Lord her Guest,
Her Sons must wait upon Mary's Sons, world without end, reprieve, or rest.

It is their care in all the ages to take the buffet and cushion the shock.
It is their care that the gear engages; it is their care that the switches lock.
It is their care that the wheels run truly; it is their care to embark and entrain,
Tally, transport, and deliver duly the Sons of Mary by land and main.

They say to mountains ``Be ye removèd.'' They say to the lesser floods ``Be dry.''
Under their rods are the rocks reprovèd---they are not afraid of that which is high.
Then do the hill-tops shake to the summit---then is the bed of the deep laid bare,
That the Sons of Mary may overcome it, pleasantly sleeping and unaware.

They finger Death at their gloves' end where they piece and repiece the living wires.
He rears against the gates they tend: they feed him hungry behind their fires.
Early at dawn, ere men see clear, they stumble into his terrible stall,
And hale him forth like a haltered steer, and goad and turn him till evenfall.

To these from birth is Belief forbidden; from these till death is Relief afar.
They are concerned with matters hidden---under the earthline their altars are---
The secret fountains to follow up, waters withdrawn to restore to the mouth,
And gather the floods as in a cup, and pour them again at a city's drouth.

They do not preach that their God will rouse them a little before the nuts work loose.
They do not preach that His Pity allows them to drop their job when they damn-well choose.
As in the thronged and the lighted ways, so in the dark and the desert they stand,
Wary and watchful all their days that their brethren's ways may be long in the land.

Raise ye the stone or cleave the wood to make a path more fair or flat;
Lo, it is black already with the blood some Son of Martha spilled for that!
Not as a ladder from earth to Heaven, not as a witness to any creed,
But simple service simply given to his own kind in their common need.

And the Sons of Mary smile and are blessèd---they know the Angels are on their side.
They know in them is the Grace confessèd, and for them are the Mercies multiplied.
They sit at the feet---they hear the Word---they see how truly the Promise runs.
They have cast their burden upon the Lord, and---the Lord He lays it on Martha's Sons!

I don't hate Black People any more (Memo from the KKK)

IN honor of my natureloving friend.

The Kind and Fair Left Wing

I was challenged to write nice stuff. To be Positive. So, in all goodness and mercy I want to point out to all who care what fine folks the left produces. These good things all puppy dogs and kittys said about Sarah Palin are just so wonderful. A few choice excerpts

  • [T]he schadenfreude and the hilariously inexplicable interviews are merely distractions from the truly awful things that Sarah Palin represents.
  • I've seriously had enough of the winking, the giant-chinned-smirking, the too-sibilant forks-on-a-chalkboard "s" sounds, the "nookyooler," the "you betchas," and especially her Romper Room-like penchant for naming and labeling everyone in her audiences: "Romper bomper stomper boo, tell me, tell me, tell me, do! I see Joe the Plumber, Roscoe the Racist, Zed the Gimp..."
  • [T]he only thing that's actually working for the McCain campaign is the daily inciting of rage, fear and hatred among the easily-led gomers lined up outside of Sarah Palin's rallies.
  • The one thing that appears to be working nicely for Sarah Palin and John McCain right now is the really evil and divisive stuff.
  • [W]e simply can't allow Sarah Palin's fear-mongering -- her Neo-McCarthyism and her Neo-Southern Strategy -- to ultimately be the one successful thing about this otherwise laughable McCain campaign.
  • It's not so much that I'm looking forward to the end of the red scare hysteria she's whipping up when she tells her Audience the Stupid that somehow a vote for the Democratic ticket is a vote for communism. More than Palin herself, I'm looking forward to the end of an era in which the aforementioned gomers -- these relatively small pockets of bigots and witch hunters -- have enjoyed undeserved attention and disproportionate sway over American politics and policy.
  • In other words, it's the ignorance, stupid. And next Tuesday, we have a chance to seriously marginalize this darker, uglier side of America.
  • [W]e have no choice but to show up en masse and unequivocally reject Republicans like Sarah Palin -- hurling them onto the slagheap of history.
  • There are a lot of things to ridicule about Sarah Palin's incomprehensible speaking style, her pathological dishonesty and her backwards, simplistic views on the issues.

It's this kind of open minded honest careful evaluation of a candidate that caused GOMERS to vote to elect Obama. Ignorant sheep led to vote against their interests for a man who is a blank slate empty suit. Good intelligent man. Just way unqualified. But now he will be MY President. God Help Us All.

So, I guess nice is out. The Gomers have voted and we have Obama for worse, not better.

There is no positive or nice way to put it. I won't stoop to the level of the evil left as illustrated above. Or to put it in his words, we have Obama as President elected by the uninformed.
it's the ignorance, stupid

When Queers Attack

This is the video of the queer mob in San Francisco that verbally and physically attacked a group of Christians who were peacefully standing on a corner and praying. You didn't see or hear anything about this in the news because the same crooked media that has deluded a whole generation into a dubious vote for Obama has purposely hidden the truth of open warfare on Christians. Here's the story.

By the way, I use the word QUEER ADVISEDLY. That's what they call each other. I get to as well. They are, well, queer.

More Fun that a person should be allowed to have

Obama (Otherwise known as the Young Prince with allusions to Hamlet) is putting together a more centrist government and is ignoring in spades the moonbat left.

That offends them. One fellow has put together a series of comments from the leftie moonbat blogs. They are so offended. So Betrayed. So upset.

They are hilarious. Read them all here. Funny stuff.

They voted for Change and Got Obama.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss...

Chchchchchchchchchchchanges.

It's going to be a VERY interesting four years folks. :)

I need this TRUCK

OK, I already have a pickup truck, but during the Bears game on Sunday they kept playing these excellent commercials for Ford 150 Pickups. If you didn’t think you needed one you would after watching these commercials. Good work on the part of those admen who made these. IF your blood doesn't get moving after seeing them you are dead.

The MSM Elected Obama by keeping smart people ignorant

If you want any clearer example, this is it. Watch this video. It shows how otherwise bright people were so brainwashed by the media, that they bought whatever was said, that they believed lies, that they were duped into voting ignorant of the facts, that they believed anything told them, that they were unwilling to do any independent thinking on their own. So they voted for Obama.

What makes this so sad is I know many of these people. Some even go to Church with me. They were suckered in. They now have to live with the consequence of their lack of discernment. Like sheep they were led astray.

Now we are on this ride. I hope it comes out OK. I'm not sure it will. Neither is the stock market. This is now an Obama market, uncertain, unsure, unwilling to bet that Obama and the nuts in congress will allow us to do what we are called to do. It can't get it's footing because it doesn't trust Obama.

Watch the whole video. THEN, if you were foolish enough to have been suckered into the schemes of the Mainstream Media and shut off your thinking cap, mourn, not for me, for yourself. You got you into this mess.

How the Kingdoms of Israel and Judah lived we now Live

If you are a student of old Testament history at all you will see a pattern that repeats itself over and over again. The nation would defeat it's enemies, fear God, live right, become prosperous, then get stupid, chase idols and be defeated back into bondage. Over and Over and Over again. This pattern:
From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage.

When I look at that pattern once more and look at the USA I wonder exactly where we are on this progression. Do we have Faith, Courage, Liberty, Abundance, Complacency, Apathy, Dependence, Are we headed for Bondage?

I know that the rise of irreligious thought is the beginning of the descent into bondage. We certainly have that in spades.

Our country doesn't need a bailout, it needs JESUS.

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largess of the public treasury. From that time on the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury, with the results that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's great civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: from bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance; from abundance to selfishness; from selfishness to complacency; from complacency to apathy; from apathy to dependency; from dependency back again to bondage.

Busting the political myths of 2008

Washington Post blogger Chris Cillizza has come up with five myths about the election.
No. 1: The Republican Party suffered a death blow. (History says otherwise, because every president since 1934 except George W. Bush lost House seats in his first midterm election.)
No. 2: Black and young voters swept Barack Obama to victory. (”Exit polling suggests that there was no statistically significant increase in voting among either group,” Cillizza said.)
No. 3: Now that they control the White House and Congress, Democrats will usher in a new progressive era. (Not true, he said, because many of the freshman Democrats, especially in the House, are moderate to conservative.)
No. 4: A Republican candidate could have won the presidency this year. (Not likely, Cillizza said, thanks to President Bush’s record.)
No. 5: McCain made a huge mistake in picking Sarah Palin. (Though Palin hurt McCain’s attempts to reach out to independents and Democrats, “it’s hard to imagine conservatives rallying to McCain - even to the relatively limited extent that they did - without Palin on the ticket.”)

Shown on Sunday Night, You need to show this to YOUR congegation if you have one

Sometimes it's good to be reminded of what we give thanks for.

Sunday Night in Church this video was shown. Outstanding material.

I commend it to you.

Are we all born liberal but some never grow up? Is Peter Pan a Liberal?

This guy has written a book and has this article as a tickler. Interesting hypothesis.

Barack Obama certainly beat the odds.

Not just by becoming president, mind you. But by staying out of jail, by not becoming a chronic drug abuser or alcoholic, by not dropping out of school, by graduating Harvard Law School and by getting married to, so far at least, one woman.

The odds were against him.

And not because he is black.

The odds were against him because of his childhood.

Barack Obama was very much a child of the '60s sexual revolution. He was raised, in part, by a teenage single mother and, later, by his pre-hippie, highly unconventional grandparents – a couple steeped in leftist politics, pot smoking and unorthodox ideas about child-rearing.

In a world where even many so-called "conservative" parents are raising "liberal" children – in other words, children who never really grow up – Barack Obama, indeed, beat the odds … in some respects.

But in another way, the coconut did not fall far from the Hawaiian tree.

Barack Obama is, politically speaking, just what one would expect from such an upbringing. He is very much a product of his social environment – not to mention his natural state, "born liberal."

Why are so many Americans raising liberal children today? Why did Barack Obama overwhelmingly win the youth vote and, particularly, the support of first-time voters?

As the author of the new book, "Born Liberal, Raised Right: How to Rescue America from Moral Decline – One Family at a Time," here's my hypothesis: All humans are born with the same predisposition toward life. We may each be born with our unique personalities, but we have the same bent: by nature we are all born liberal.

I propose that liberalism is, in fact, the natural condition of the human heart. For us to grow into conservatives, we must be trained against our nature.

In this age of technology, one might say that liberalism is our "default" operating condition. Throughout our childhoods, our parents must work hard and change our settings to keep us from operating in our default mode. If parents are successful, we enter adulthood with our new settings fully locked in. Left untrained, all children would grow up liberal in their outlook, which is something government schools seem hell-bent on ensuring.

I researched more than a dozen dictionaries in preparing my book, and I believe it is accurate to say that to be politically "liberal" is to be freed from restraints, liberated from moorings, ever-changing, having an evolving basis for values, not bound by tradition or orthodoxy.

In American politics, this means that pure liberals have an expanding view of the Constitution – a "living document" they call it – that should not be bound by the intent of its framers.

Does that sound familiar?

Why, it's a portrait of Barack Obama and the constituency that made him president.

But, knowing what I know about the excesses of liberal child-rearing techniques, I suspect there is more to Barack Obama than meets the eye.

That's because undisciplined, self-worshipping kids grow into liberals driven by the same narcissistic, over-emotional, passionate, "I-want-it-now" worldview they had as toddlers.

How might those characteristics manifest themselves in a president of the United States?

Well, let's see. We certainly have Bill Clinton as a recent case study.

But could this narcissistic worldview be dangerous for the country?

I suspect it could. But, then again, I believe liberalism is dangerous for the country, too. And that's why I wrote "Born Liberal, Raised Right" – because it's not inevitable that the future of America is liberalism.

The problems begin at home with indulgent parenting. But a little understanding, patience and courage are all it takes to change the parenting, the family … and the nation.

What IF It's proven that OBAMA is constitutionally unable to be POTUS

You know that there are serious questions asking if in fact Obama is born in the USA, a requirement to be POTUS. There is no such tangible evidence that he was born here.

Lawsuits have been filed. One such is filed by none other than Alan Keyes. This is a serious lawsuit unlike earlier versions. He is not suing in the supreame court. He is suing the state of California for the 55 Electoraal votes. If he succeeds there, the domino effect will be amazing to see.

So, I asked the question of folks that should know: IF for some reason it is proven that Obama does not qualify and cannot take the oath of office what happens then.

Very interesting in researching all this:

Long and short, once the electoral college votes in December Biden would become POTUS. Until then the electors can vote however they chose. Biden, McCain or Palin.

What does this mean?

Senator Joe Biden would become the President-Elect if Obama were to become unable to serve as President (eg. death) after December 15, 2008 when the electors meet. Should President-Elect Obama be unable to serve as President prior to December 15, 2008, the day the Electoral College votes, several scenarios might happen. Some states are required by law to vote for their states voted candidate (ie. the President-Elect that can’t serve). Other states can select whomever they choose.

To answer your question, if it is after the Electoral College vote (12/15/2008), Senator Biden, if it is prior the Electoral College, it is unknown (Biden, Clinton, McCain, Palin, or someone else). This has never happened in US history.

This seems to be the most reasonable explanation. IF however Obama is disqualfied AFTER Jan 20 then Hillary would be elected by the house of Representitives. My guess. If however, The electors were to have to decide, if what I am reading is right, McCain would be POTUS. There would be no other choices. Ron Paul seems to think he is in the running still. I don't see how.

Here's what I don't get, what I don't understand. Obama could put us all out of our misery in a second. Just have the State of Hawaii produce under oath a certified embossed copy of the Birth Certificate just like I had to get when I got my passport and present it to 100 judicial people to examine. That would be that.

Why won't he do this? Does he LIKE constitutional crises?

But then we never got to see if he was a magna cum laude or a dunce in college either. No grades were ever released.

He's like the Phantom. No one knows.

What is he hiding?

If Starbucks Marketed like most CHURCHES

Is there EVER temporal judgement?

There was for Sodom and Gomorrah.

But not at the tower of Siloam.

Who sinned then? Jesus said no one.

But, is there ever temporal punishment? Ever? Today?

I watch the news and see convergent events and terrors. Open rebellion against God in every way. And I have to ask. Is there?

I won't pronounce it, but I am asking myself the question. So should we all. It is a horrible thing to fall into the hands of an angry God.

I just re read the sermon by Jonathon Edwards given in the 1700s. Sinners in the hands of an Angry God.

He certainly postulates that there is indeed temporal punishment for sin on this side of the veil. It's very different from the kind of preaching you hear on Christian TV. Or from most pulpits.

Maybe it's time we tell each other the truth. Judgement is come.
