Mice that Roar
According to USA Today New survey: 3.4% of U.S. adults are LGBT. Such a small percentage making such a loud noise in this country. This group is passionate, aggressive, demanding and wants to see things change in this country - they press things in court and are not backing down. Regardless of how I feel about this group get this......only 3.4% of Americans are affecting the whole country because they are united and moving forward relentlessly. There are a huge amount of conservative Christians in this country, not united, in comfort zones letting things just happen, certainly not demanding and we wonder why we don't like the outcomes. Hmmmmm..... what is it going to take to make Conservative Christians wake up?????
Whatever
David Brooks writes, I ridicule. This is no exception. Green never
did work. IF a technology is superior it will be adopted. IF it
doesn't...Hybrids, electrics, windmills, solar.. then it's not. This
doesn't seem that hard. The real question is how much of this is
foolishness driven by the whole global warming hoax?
This
is sad. I have been in such threads. If you are a black conservative,
or even are willing to think for yourself, you should be killed or
should kill yourself. This kind of peer pressure is why Jesse Jackson
Jr will be re elected and Obama may well be. The message? "Don't stray
off the plantation, we will hunt you down and kill you". Caution, lots
of F word use
According to the latest Gallup survey, Mitt Romney is polling 52% of likely voters. At this point in the race he is ahead of:
Where Jimmy Carter was in 1976 (47%)
Where Ronald Reagan was in 1980 (39% — Carter was six points up)
Where George H.W. Bush was in 1988 (50%)
Where Bill Clinton was in 1992 (40%)

Where Ronald Reagan was in 1980 (39% — Carter was six points up)
Where George H.W. Bush was in 1988 (50%)
Where Bill Clinton was in 1992 (40%)
Where George W. Bush was in 2000 (48%)
Where Barack Obama was in 2008 (49%)
Nice polling, kid. Don’t get cocky. It's all the ground game now. Even the debate Monday doesn't really matter any more. I'm going to skip it and go to the Opera instead. This deal is FAR from over.

I am discovering this. The way we age can be a problem. I think Chuck Comstock
may have learned this before I did. ""We are advised that an extended
life span has given us an unprecedented opportunity. And if we surrender
to old age, we
are fools or, worse,
cowards. Around me I see many of my contemporaries remaining in their
prime-of-life vocations, often working harder than ever before, even if
they have already achieved a great deal. Some are writing the novels
stewing in their heads but never attempted, or enrolling in classes in
conversational French, or taking up jogging, or even signing up for
cosmetic surgery and youth-enhancing hormone treatments"".
Here
is a truth: Civilization celebrates those who succeed in spite of
rather than because of. Which are you? Which would you like to be?
When I look at the men and women I admire in my life, the ones who stir
me most are those who came up in very difficult times and overcame those
roadblocks to succeed where many other fell by the wayside. I have
been privileged to know some of those people.
AND sadly many of the others. It doesn't see fair, but Jesus talked of
this in the parable of the Mina. It's why He commends those who
overcome in the Book of Revelation. Declaring that you are an
overcomer, belonging to church with the name Overcomer in it, reading a
book about overcoming is useless if you never really overcome. We need
to see the obstacle and overcome by the word of our testimony and the
Blood of the Lamb...not by the word of our government and the blood of
the taxpayer. Time for real talk on all that.
How Obamacare (the impact the Affordable Health plan impact's Medicare) is killing people already. From a Physician:
It was my plan to admit this woman to the hospital. I found out a little later that this same woman had been a patient here just slightly more than 2 weeks ago with a DIFFERENT DIAGNOSIS. I was told that if this woman was admitted, the hospital would not be paid.
The new Medicare rule now is that if the same Medicare patient is re-admitted to the hospital within 30 days, the hospital will not be paid. When they first started this nonsense they said this only applied to patients with the same diagnosis. Now they have "expanded" the rule to include re-admissions for any reason. So if you're in the hospital for pneumonia, and 3 weeks later, you break your leg.......too bad. Medicare will not pay the hospital to fix your leg.
A little later a man was brought in by ambulance, very sick, in pain, and near death. I did my usual evaluation and treatment, doing my best to ease pain and stabilize this man's illness. He needed to be admitted. To my chagrin I found out that he had been treated for the SAME problem at a DIFFERENT HOSPITAL about 10 days prior. If I admitted this man, our hospital would be paid nothing. I admitted the man. My friends I am caught in a terrible position. I could have given treatment to both of these people and sent them out. There is no doubt that both of them would have died. Oh, I could also be sued for malpractice, but nobody cares about that.

I
have considered Matthews one of the dumber people on TV... and that's
saying a lot. But he said something after last Tuesday's debate that is
a real puzzle to me. Somehow some Obama supporters have the idea that
because Obama is president he deserves
in a debate format special deference. A debate where as a citizen he is
once more presenting himself to the people to win their vote. Here's
what happened. Romney was speaking during his allotted time. As Obama
attempted to interrupt Romney, he told the president “you’ll get your
chance” to talk.
“I don’t think he understands the Constitution of the United States…He’s the President of the United States. You don’t say, ‘you’ll get your chance,’” Matthews said.
What was Romney supposed to do, stop talking, allow Obama to run roughshod over the debate format, to reward his rudeness? Was he supposed to say "Sorry Mr President, I'll stop talking, you take all the time you need" It's bad enough that Matthews one believes the constitution contains just such a clause (it doesn't, he's ignorant) but I have heard that same false idea from several friends. I have tried to school them on this. I always use the goose gander analogy. IF you allow this President to do this, how about the day when another George W Bush is running for a second term. Do you want the Democrat to have to defer to HIM like Matthews thinks Romney should have?
Only in dictatorships are Presidents and Prime Ministers protected from criticism and correction. Look at Putin, Chavez and the Leaders in Iran. They routinely lock of and silence any debate. We are not YET a dictatorship. People like Matthews are dangerous to democracy. Continue to think goose and gander...and you will see how insidious this whole idea is. Matthews is one reason I NEVER watch MSNBC... I pity the couple dozen who actually do.

Useless
news. Won't matter. The mindless voters of his district will re elect
him. If all the elected officials in the Dem column were flesh eating
zombies it would make no difference at all. They would be elected or re
elected if they have a D after their
name. Jesse Jr comes as close to zombieism minus the flesh eating (that
we know of). Lyndon Johnson was right when speaking of his war on
poverty legislation, "We'll have these n......ers voting Democrat for
200 years after passing this". That was 45 years ago. We only have 155
years left before most people in these districts have an independent
opinion. And pity the poor fool who begins to think a tiny bit outside
the box. The shame machine kicks into full tilt to corral and heard the
wayward thinker back onto the plantation. SMH
Just in case you care, and I don't, Whoopi Goldberg (named for a gag toy) asked Ann Romney if Mormons serve in the military. I didn't know. Looked it up. YUP. A quick google seems to indicate that they make up about 1.5% of the military, while comprising 1.7% of the general population. I guess they don't know how to operate Google at the View.
This
was Bin Laden's plan. Cause the US to go so far into debt that it
could not recover. Bush/Obama have managed to bring us to the cliff. I
don't know IF we can pull back. This much is sure...if we fall, what
follows is much worse. Our debt crisis and overspending is a national
security issue.

Iran president says US influence in world affairs waning due to massive debt, loss of legitimacy, adds West increasingly
GALLUP: R 52% O 45%... Not a great number this early
Don't panic, but this number is not going to change much from here on out. Romney isn't going to win 60% of the vote. So when you hear "stall" from the talking heads, it's not stall, it's plateau. Would have been better a week from now...but take what you can get. Keeping this margin is the challenge and more important, keeping it in swing states (Ohio) matters most. The media will try to dispirit you by talking about declines from this peak. Don't fall for it...but it's time to get people out.
Has
ANYONE ever seen a Republicans for Obama Poster??? I displayed a
Republicans for Poshard (a democrat who ran against George Ryan in IL)
years ago. I was right about that
The Blacksphere
What you WON'T see is Republicans for Obama, but there is a LOT of this! #tcot #tlot #tpp #teaparty #p2
This
is long, wonkish, inside baseball and not lite reading. PLUS..it
probably doesn't matter as much as you think. The fact is that this
election is far from over. Send Money. Call your friends, particularly
in Ohio. Don't despair, double down. This is no longer a run for the
White House, it's now a sprint.

Didn't
see the debate. The audience for the debates are the undecided or soft
on Obama former Obama voters. I have tried to find even ONE person who
voted for McCain in 2008 who is now saying they are going to vote for
Obama. I don't thi
nk that person exists
anywhere. This group of people are making the switch. They came in
soft, almost all former Obama folks, and guess what. Now for Romney.
I'm feeling better all the time. Obama won in 2008 without any
specifics at all...just hope and change and yes we can. Fortune Cookie
stuff. Now Romney Ryan have the 5 point plan and the other side is
asking for specifics. Doesn't look like specifics sell shoes. Just
like 2008. Get ready to say goodbye to Mr Carter II and hello to
President Romney. Now where did I put that pair of magic underwear??
