Obama gets the clap

Barack Obama, at a recent rural elementary school assembly in West Virginia, asked the audience for total quiet. Then, in the silence, he started to slowly clap his hands once every few seconds, holding the audience in total silence.
Then he said into the microphone, 'Children, every time I clap my hands together, a child in America dies from gun violence.'

Then, little Richard Earl, with a proud West Virginia drawl, pierced the quiet and said: 'Well, dumbass, stop clapping!'

This is how to understand our current situation

Heidi is the proprietor of a bar in Detroit ...

She realizes that virtually all of her customers are unemployed alcoholics and, as such, can no longer afford to patronize her bar.

To solve this problem, she comes up with a new marketing plan that allows her customers to drink now, but pay later.

Heidi keeps track of the drinks consumed on a ledger (thereby granting the customers loans).

Word gets around about Heidi's "drink now, pay later" marketing strategy and, as a result, increasing numbers of customers flood into Heidi's bar. Soon she has the largest sales volume for any bar in Detroit .

By providing her customers freedom from immediate payment demands, Heidi gets no resistance when, at regular intervals, she substantially increases her prices for wine and beer, the most consumed beverages.

Consequently, Heidi's gross sales volume increases massively.

A young and dynamic vice-president at the local bank recognizes that these customer debts constitute valuable future assets and increases Heidi's borrowing limit.

He sees no reason for any undue concern because he has the debts of the unemployed alcoholics as collateral!

At the bank's corporate headquarters, expert traders figure a way to make huge commissions, and transform these customer loans into DRINKBONDS.

These "securities" then are bundled and traded on international securities markets.

Naive investors don't really understand that the securities being sold to them as "AAA Secured Bonds" really are debts of unemployed alcoholics. Nevertheless, the bond prices continuously climb - and the securities soon become the hottest-selling items for some of the nation's leading brokerage houses.

One day, even though the bond prices still are climbing, a risk manager at the original local bank decides that the time has come to demand payment on the debts incurred by the drinkers at Heidi's bar. He so informs Heidi.

Heidi then demands payment from her alcoholic patrons. But, being unemployed alcoholics -- they cannot pay back their drinking debts.

Since Heidi cannot fulfill her loan obligations she is forced into bankruptcy. The bar closes and Heidi's 11 employees lose their jobs.

Overnight, DRINKBOND prices drop by 90%.

The collapsed bond asset value destroys the bank's liquidity and prevents it from issuing new loans, thus freezing credit and economic activity in the community.

The suppliers of Heidi's bar had granted her generous payment extensions and had invested their firms' pension funds in the BOND securities.

They find they are now faced with having to write off her bad debt and with losing over 90% of the presumed value of the bonds.

Her wine supplier also claims bankruptcy, closing the doors on a family business that had endured for three generations, her beer supplier is taken over by a competitor, who immediately closes the local plant and lays off 150 workers.

Fortunately though, the bank, the brokerage houses and their respective executives are saved and bailed out by a multibillion dollar no-strings attached cash infusion from the government.

The funds required for this bailout are obtained by new taxes levied on employed, middle-class, nondrinkers who have never been in Heidi's bar.

Now do you understand?

I agree with NEWT, even though I don't support him for POTUS

ABC News' Jake Tapper talked to GOP presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich about topics including a defense of his charge that child-labor laws are stupid because poor children need to "learn how to go to work." We're pretty sure he wasn't kidding. Check out his idea in these highlights of the exchange:

Look,” Gingrich said, “at a time when you have up to 43% black teenage unemployment, you have entire communities that are devastated, you have neighborhoods where nobody has worked and nobody has any habit of work ... "

“Young children who are poor ought to learn how to go to work,” he continued. “What I’ve said is, for example, it would be great if inner city schools and poor neighborhood schools actually hired the children to do things. Some of the things they could do is work in the library, work in the front office. Some of them frankly, could be janitorial ... "

"[W]hat if they cleaned out the bathrooms and what if they mopped the floors? What if in the summer they repainted the school? What if in that process they were actually learning to work, learning to earn money, they had money on their own, they didn’t have to become a pimp or a prostitute or a drug dealer, they had money on their own?

“Now that’s not a casual comment,” Gingrich said. “It actually grows out of a lot of thinking over many years of trying to figure out who do we break out people trapped in poverty who have no habits of work."

"I am sure for [President Obama] it [whether he has done enough for the black community] has to almost involve cognitive dissonance because how can he look in -- how can he say, ‘This is the community I have done so little for?’ “I think as Americans, forget the president for a moment, Americans if you truly believe you are endowed by our Creator with the right to pursue happiness, one of my major goals, is to apply that to the poorest neighborhoods in America in very very different ways and try to break out of what we have trapped people into for the last forty years.”

Photo to Make You Miss Photos of the President Clearing Brush

Remember this stupid article on the front page of the New York Times about how the Obama White House was such a men's club that it intimidated female staffers? Well, ladies, are you still intimidated by all that testosterone?

Oh well, at least he took the training wheels off. How does Mahmoud Ahmadinejad sleep at night? Oh yeah, soundly.

I added this to remember what a real man looks like. Of course, if there's any doubt we can always compare them throwing out the first pitch again.

Oh, and here's President Pantywaist trying to act butch for the red state voters and not quite pulling it off.

But I did find this photo of raw masculinity from the Obama administration.

Somewhere there's a softball-playing Elena Kagan who is jealous.
How come when I read the news or watch MSNBC I get the feeling that what is really being said is: "If you ever come across Herman Cain or Clarence Thomas, I want you to detain them and call me immediately. They belong to me. They escaped from my plantation".
I don't know if Herman did or didn't. I don't know if Clarence did or didn't. I do know that leaving the plantation is grounds for a flogging. And the media types are more than willing to oblige.
This guy says it better than I could. Social Justice as a supposedly Christian Concept is error (in my humble opinion). The Sojourners and Jim Wallis pastoral stream is one I do not believe in. I know that it seems right, but it's not. I can't find scriptural basis for giving someone something without some level of accountability required of them. I'm not trying to change your mind, it's more a hope that you can understand that these issues are felt as passionately by those who don't buy into social gospel.
The EPA has made a command that all cars which currently get an average of 27MPG will get almost 55 MPG by 2025. That'll be easy. Right? I think the EPA should make a command that Cancer be cured by 2015 or else. Or, perhaps by 2014 they could cure Baldness...that'd be good. OR by 2017 cure FAT. I mean, how dumb can you be and still breath?? Does making up stupid rules negate science and physics?
George W Bush proposed the Following while in office:

  • Pulling the troops out of Iraq,
  • Keeping Guantanamo open,
  • Finding Bin Laden, and gathering the intelligence to do so,
  • Continuing the Patriot Act,
  • Implementing across the board tax cuts,
  • Stimulus packages,
  • Auto bailouts

And all of those have come to pass under the Obama Administration.

That Hope and Change Thingy:: not so much. The one thing the President has done tinkering with the health care system is probably going to be down-scaled a great deal. Harrumph
IF you want a glimpse of the future in America you only need to look at Greece. The Church will find this staggering and at the same time a great opportunity. That will define the real church and those that are just placeholder institutions. Lots of preaching, not much doing of the "Stuff".

Holiness isn't

If you want to understand true Holiness, here's a clue:

"But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;" 1 Peter 2:10

When you are called out of darkness into light you become something completely other than the rest of the world. You are unique. You are HOLY. It's the OTHERNESS that makes you holy. Stop TRYING to be Holy, recognize that your calling out makes you Holy. When you see that, the behavior will follow. You can LIVE like this. Don't let anyone Should on you by telling you you aren't living Holy. It's not behavior, it's identity. Uniqueness. Differentiated.

A little Bible study will help you, look up all the words holiness, holy. You will most of the time see it Holy AND. Blameless, without spot. When we get the idea out of our heads that Holy is something we do rather than who we are, the easier it will be to obey.
You have to see who is number 25 in this list.

Pastor-James Michael Lewis on Fighting the Battle you are in

I saw this comment and it spoke clearly to me, Hope it does to you:

What makes it important is the instruction of Jude verse 3, which says, "Earnestly contend for the faith, once for all, delivered to the Saints." And the faith, once for all, delivered to the Saints is talking about the Scripture and the content of sound doctrine, the revelation of God committed to us. We are to earnestly fight for the faith, to contend for that faith. If we're going to contend for the faith we need to understand where the battle is coming from.

A quote from Martin Luther that I found very interesting. This is what Martin Luther said, "If I profess with the loudest and clearest exposition, every portion of the truth of God, except that little point, which the world and the devil are, at that moment, attacking. I am not confessing Christ. However, boldly, I may be professing him. Where the battle rages, said Luther, there the loyalty of the soldier is proved. And to be steady on all the battlefield, besides is mere flight and disgrace if he flinches at that point," end quote.

Luther was saying if you're gonna call yourself a Christian then you have to fight the battle where the battle rages. And where it rages today, and I think all through history, is at the very point of the truth of Scripture.

The Bible is under incessant assault from the enemy. It's pretty easy to understand, from the biblical prospective, God is the source of, author of, truth. Satan is the source of, author of, lies. And, therein, is the battle, God's truth, Satan's lies. And Satan attacks God's truth relentlessly with his lies.

"JUST A THOUGHT" can you say "BREAK THROUGH" coming and the enemy only wants to sabotage and delay "DESTINY"

True Christmas

FIRST CHRISTMAS CARD

Cleverly done!!!

Twas the Month before Christmas

Twas the month before Christmas

When all through our land,

Not a Christian was praying

Nor taking a stand.

See the PC Police had taken away

The reason for Christmas - no one could say.

The children were told by their schools not to sing

About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.

It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say

December 25th is just a ' Holiday'.

Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit

Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!

CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-Pod

Something was changing, something quite odd!

Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa

In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.

As Targets were hanging their trees upside down

At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.

At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears

You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.

Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty

Are words that were used to intimidate me.

Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen

On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton!

At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter

To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.

And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith

Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace

The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded

The reason for the season, stopped before it started.

So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your 'Dream Tree'

Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.

Choose your words carefully, choose what you say

Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS,

not Happy Holiday!

Please, all Christians join together and

wish everyone you meet

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Christ is The Reason' for the Christ-mas Season!

What do you think of this?

This is amazing. I don't know what to think of all this. YET, some teachers of preterism dabble on the edge of this. It's like those who claim not to be racist yet make side comments revealing their heart. I am concerned about this.

From the Video Below:
The roots of Replacement Theology and its rotten fruit of anti-Semitism date back to Christianity's infancy. Ironic when the Church was formed by Christ was all Jewish . It was founded in Judea and all its founding documents were written by Jews. As the Church began to spread beyond Judea, its message was embraced by more and more Gentiles who had no interest in maintaining contact with the Church's Jewish roots. Even worse, the new Gentile leaders began to turn against the Jews by characterizing them as "Christ killers." Consider the following examples, which are but a few:

Justin Martyr (100-165 AD) - Claimed God's covenant with Israel was no longer valid and that the Gentiles had replaced the Jews.

Irenaeus (ca 130-202 AD) - Declared the Jews were disinherited from the grace of God.

St. Augustine (354-430 AD) - Asserted that the Jews deserved death but were destined to wander the earth to witness the victory of the Church over the synagogue."

THE JEW HAS NOT BEEN REJECTED BY GOD
First, the Bible affirms that the Jews were called as God's Chosen People to be witnesses of what it means to have a relationship with Him (Isaiah 43:10-12). And the Bible makes it clear that this calling is "irrevocable" (Romans 11:29). Second, in direct contradiction of Replacement Theology, the Bible teaches that the Jews have never been rejected by God because of their unbelief. In Romans 3 Paul asserts point blank that their rejection of Jesus has not nullified God's faithfulness to the promises He has made to them (Romans 3:1-4). Paul makes the point again in Romans 11:1 when he asks, "I say then, God has not rejected His people, has He?" He answers his own question with an emphatic statement: "May it never be! ... God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew" (Romans 11:2).

What is God's plan for the Jews in the end times? How will He bring about the salvation of a great remnant? Let me outline the answer for you briefly:

The Jewish people will be regathered in unbelief from the four corners of the earth (Isaiah 11:11-12).

They will once again occupy the city of Jerusalem (Zechariah 8:7-8).

All the nations of the world will come against them over the issue of the control of Jerusalem (Zechariah 12:2-3).

The Antichrist will come to their rescue by guaranteeing them peace and allowing them to rebuild their temple (Daniel 9:27).

This false "peace" will begin the Day of The Lord and God's judgments and wrath upon the world.
At the end of 3½ years, the Antichrist will declare himself to be God, and the Jews will reject Him (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4).

The Antichrist will then attempt to annihilate the Jews, and he will succeed in killing two-thirds of them (Revelation 12:13-17 and Zechariah 13:8-9).

At the end of the Tribulation, when the Jews have come to the end of themselves, they will turn to God and receive Jesus as their Messiah (Zechariah 12:10).

Jesus will return at this point in time, and He will regather all believing Jews to Israel where He will establish them as the prime nation in the world (Deuteronomy 30:1-9).

The blessings of God will flow out to the nations through the Jews during the Millennium (Zechariah 8:22-23).

The above comes from this Video.

Out of the frying pan, into the fire

I've seen people leave a wild life full of everything they thought they wanted (money, cars, clothes, power, women etc...) because they got tired of it and realized it was a lie..... so they join "the church".

I've also seen people leave the "the church" (shouting, running, lifting hands, trying to live right, giving your $, singing etc...) because they got tired of it and realized it was a lie........ so they join the wild life.

You will be searching your entire life for an identity as long as you continue to look outside your self. The REAL you is waiting to be discovered and unveiled and can only be accessed through silence, unlearning everything you once thought you knew and focusing on the real you. You don't need to TRY to be you... you just BE. So instead of being a carbon copy of your fav celeb, or the church you go to etc... It's time to be YOU for a change..the No Boxes- No ceilings- No Fear YOU! you will ENJOY the results. But be careful... because OTHERS WONT. (trust me)

Chris Christie on the Super Committee: What the hell are we paying Obama for?

What are we paying him for? We’re paying him to run for president again, I thought.

A video treat below in honor of Fitch declaring that its outlook on U.S. treasuries is now officially negative after the Super Committee’s failure. Coming next: Another bump down to AA for President Downgrade.

[T]he negative outlook indicates a “slightly greater” than 50% chance that Fitch downgrades the U.S. over the next two years.

“Failure to reach agreement in 2013 on a credible deficit reduction plan and a worsening of the economic and fiscal outlook would likely result in a downgrade of the U.S. sovereign rating,” David Riley, a managing director at Fitch, said in the report…

Fitch warned that further deficit reduction efforts “will not be credible” if they solely rely on cutting discretionary spending. Economists have said Congress needs to quickly move to slash entitlement spending on programs such as Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.

The failure of the Supercommittee to reach a compromise “underlines the challenge of securing broad-based consensus on how to reduce the outsized federal budget deficit,” Riley said.

Granted, the Committee’s failure further weakens America’s creditworthiness, but on the upside, it’s super helpful to Obama’s campaign narrative about a “do-nothing Congress.” And don’t think both sides on the Committee weren’t keenly aware of it. I think the most O-friendly answer you can muster in response to Christie’s question, in fact, is to ask what good it would have done if he had participated. Even if he was willing to detonate his 2012 messaging by making a deal with the GOP — possibly including entitlement reform, which would tie the DNC’s hands on ads targeting seniors next year — who thinks he still has enough political capital left to get any of the Committee’s Democrats to go along with it?

Two clips, one of Christie and the other of O promising Europe we’re ready to “do our part” to help them out of their fiscal quicksand. What that might mean, I don’t know, but the speculation already has me nervous. Dude, three words: Secret. Fed. Loans.
