Adolf Hitler was democratically elected to be the Chancellor of Germany? He was the duly elected governance as the Nazi party leader. The Nazis were killing Christians and Jews. They were violent and destructive. There were uprisings against the Nazis. They were bloody and brutal. IF our President were to speak to the nation of Germany at that time, would he say in the event of a coup against Hitler?:

This is exactly what our president said, about Egypt the other day. The Muslim brotherhood were partners of the NAZI's. Would we have been so sanqine? We have lost respect in the world because we have such weak leadership. When we back away from supporting the ouster of the Muslim Brotherhood, and refuse to support the nation of Egypt, you can bet your bippy that V. Putin will be on the next plane to Cairo and say, "you can have all the support you want, no strings attached". That'll work our real well, won't it? SMH

The one obvious exception that I can think of is VOTING. I guess I don't get it. When I heard Hillary Clinton the other day wailing about disenfranchisement, She didn't seem to be too upset about this. Am I missing something here?

The day will come

Our President and his administration have been picking and choosing the laws and regulations they will and will not enforce. For example, they have stood aside and not upheld the defense of marriage law, Gays in the military, The immigration laws as are on the books, Labor Laws, abrogating the bankruptcy laws as they decide without any concern for how the legal system works. They have used money to support unions and crony capitalists (Solyndra) without regard for the legal implications. The vote abuse and lack of enforcement is over the top with a wink and a nudge from the justice department.

That is the way it is, for now. He is the President and thinks he has the power of the office to decide without consideration for the law of the land which laws to enforce or not. That day will come to an end. In 5 years, 10 years or when Conservatives will come to power they will follow suit with a vengeance. They will double down on the lawlessness of these actions. Like a rubber band that is stretched too far, there will come a day of real reckoning.

The list of laws that the conservatives will simply not enforce will be remarkable and long lasting.

I may not like this list but when you push too much, you get backlash and there is a HUGE appetite for blowing away many of the restrictive laws that are not just an irritant, but are considered by many to be wrong.

Good for the Goose, Good for the Gander. That's the old saying.

In politics, when Karma comes around it can be brutal.

Conservatives will come to power, and when they do the rubber band will SNAP and when it does... hang on to your hat.

I see it all the time.

I know many families who's household incomes are under $50,000 per year who have 4 children and are debt free, own their own homes and have a savings account. IF this were true, the life they live couldn't work. THIS story is, has been and will always be false. I don't know why they keep parroting this. It stops good people from having the families God intended them to. Killing children has always been satan's way of stopping destiny. Look at abortion. IF you wait until you can afford to have children, you will never have children. There is a grace on families who make the decision to trust God.

Who said Islam is a religion of peace?

During the celebration of Ramadan this year, a religious holiday for Muslims, this is the casualty count. Just like our Christmas, during the time from Thanksgiving until Christmas day we do the same thing, WAIT... WE DON'T. 

Not everyone is called to this life...

I encourage those who are so called to be in business for themselves to take the step of faith and do it. Not everyone is called to this life. There are going to be a lot of roadblocks. I have lived this process, several times. Formed several corporations, made and lost a lot of money, hired and fired a lot of people, had people tell me I was a nut, yet in the end... it IS worth it all. IF you are called to this, there is great reward. IF you are not called to it, please don't do it. Get a steady job, cash your check and don't complain. After all those who take this step NEED good employees.

Woulda, Coulda,

I was reminded the other day 
   of a decision I made long ago about how I wanted to conduct my life. 
I was about to turn 30 years old when
I saw an interview with the late singer/songwriter, Harry Chapin. 
Something he said struck a chord in me that had been lying dormant my entire life.
Chapin said that when he got to the end of his life, he didn't want to look back with regret about the things he didn't do, and wonder how things might have been different, if only he'd had the gumption to take a risk at the time. When I heard those words, I realized that I had spent the better part of my life avoiding certain choices and opportunities because I was afraid of what someone else might think or say, or whether I might fail.
I made up my mind that minute that I would not waste another day living in that self imposed cage; that I would embrace every opportunity that came my way with no regard for anything except whether I wanted to do it and it was legal, moral, and ethical; that no one else would run my life but me. Since that day, any time that I hear someone say that something cannot be done, I usually take that as a challenge to prove them wrong.
A few endeavors that I have tried through the years include owning a toy distributorship in Florida, partnering with my wife in a retail shop in Charleston, trading Options, including but not limited to writing Covered Calls and selling Naked Puts; trading Futures in  Pork Bellies, Live Hogs, Feeder Cattle, Soy Beans, Soy Bean Meal, Soy Bean Oil, Lumber, Sugar, Coffee, Orange Juice, T Bills, Swiss Francs, British Pounds, German Marks, Canadian Dollars, Gold, Silver and Copper; buying, restoring and selling cars, writing a
 newsletter that's a little off the beaten path,
and  going on Blind Dates.
As I write this, I am now at beautiful Keuka Lake in New York wine country, attending an intense  3 day workshop with Steve Bigalow, one of the  leading  Candlestick Charting experts in the world, trying once again to prove I can do something that I was told is impossible.  Joining me in this quest are 
4 other kindred spirits: an Engineer
from Canada, a female MD from Lake Tahoe,
 a retired businessman from Oregon, and a Landscape Contractor from New Jersey. Insanity likes company.
There was a young woman who worked at the nursery once, who was living in a tent on the Flint River when we hired her. She had been around the block a few times and had the tattoos to prove it. One of her famous quotes was, "There ain't much I ain't did."
I can identify.
I've gotten my share of bumps and bruises along this path I've chosen, but at least I got my uniform dirty and I can be proud that I have lived the last thirty years of my life
on the playing field and not in the stands.

'Hate Speech': NBC's Ann Curry Attacks Kirk Cameron's Religious Beliefs

Shorter Ann Curry: Your religious beliefs represent hate speech! 

Make no mistake about it, this is all about going after the Christian Church. Same-sex marriage, GLAAD's fascist rampages, and all of this Orwellian political correctness is part of long-term goal -- and that's to make Christian beliefs a form of bigotry and to force a left-wing agenda on the church all under a Trojan horse labelled "discrimination."
In many respects, Obama forcing the Catholic Church to violate its conscience with respect to providing birth control and abortion drugs through their social service institutions, is a dry run for this. The left wants to know if they can persuade the American people that a non-existent right (in this case, free birth control) trumps a First Amendment that declaratively restricts the government from impeding on the free exercise of religion.
The obvious next step will be to attempt an end-run around the First Amendment by declaring as bigoted the Church's refusal to marry same-sex couples. They will also attempt to declare as hate speech any belief held by the church that in any way angers GLAAD.
What Ann Curry did to Kirk Cameron this morning is the first phase of that war: The shaming campaign. On national television she brought the actor on to declare his religious beliefs hate speech that will encourage others to "mistreat gay people."
We all know what the next step is, and that's the outlawing of these opinions under the principle that the speaking of such things will cause harm to others. 
This, of course, would mean the end to the church -- which is the whole idea.

Every promise Obama and his accomplices have made regarding every major facet of Obamacare has turned out to be as honest as a Lois Lerner deposition. What’s more, thanks to the Democrats’ machinations last week, they bear none of the risk and none of the cost. If that’s not fraud, then Bernie Madoff was just a misunderstood philanthropist with a slight gambling problem. Madoff ran a scheme which torched somewhere in the neighborhood of $65 billion. If he served every minute of his sentence, he wouldn’t walk until his 201st birthday. As it stands now, Obamacare will lift nearly $2 TRILLION from our collective wallets over the next decade. By the time Obama finally vacates the Oval Office, he will have served no time at all. Let this be a lesson to future Ponzi, Bunko and flim-flam artists: Get elected first.

The Great Civil War... still Cold but a war none the less

With apologies to the author.  I tried very hard to make a reasonable link to this with enough info to inform but commending the link.  I failed.  Here is where all this good thinking comes from.

Over the past several months I have written many articles on various issues of the day.  My articles have covered a vast scope of topics including: War in the Middle East, Iran, Egypt, Israel, abortion, free speech, Constitutional issues and even politics.  What never seizes to amaze me is that, the more that I write, the more predictable the reader responses become. There is clearly a dividing line, and I am convinced that the line is drawn right down the middle of the Cross of Jesus Christ.

As the Mississippi River divides the continent, there is no question that America is divided like never before.  It is almost like there are two subcontinents in the “Divided” States of America.  Few would deny that this division exists.  At the risk of sounding overly simplistic, there are really very few worldviews: the Christian, biblical worldview, the secular worldview and other religious worldviews.  For the sake of brevity, this article will focus on American worldviews, concentrating on Judeo-Christian belief systems verses secular humanist views.  I contend that these two worldviews draw the real dividing line in America, the “line in the sand,” if you will.

One group believes that Americans can govern themselves if they simply follow the Constitution.  The other group believes that the government must control everyone’s lives, even controlling their health “care” and how much soda they can drink. One group believes that they can give and take away man’s rights, while the other believes that our rights are given only by God and therefore, cannot be taken away by man.  The Declaration of Independence proclaims, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

There are many patriotic Americans who couldn’t care less about religion who are good people and support the Constitution.  This article is not about them.  I am talking about liberal, secular progressives who seem to hate Christians and all that we stand for.  I am talking about certain atheist groups (not all atheists) who go out of the their way to have crosses removed from military bases yet remain sympathetic to Islamic factions.  These folks like to pick and choose some parts of the Constitution that fit their agenda, while disregarding the parts that don’t.  Time and time again I see Christians standing for one thing and secularist progressives standing for the exact opposite.  This seems to be why Christians are so threatening to the secularists and atheists.

For example, if I write an article exposing the evils of Planned Parenthood, the Christians usually agree with me and want to share the article and get the truth out.  Secularists will usually side with Planned Parenthood and defend what is clearly reprehensible.  Many, not all, will become rude and sarcastic, sometimes even swearing.  Some seem to have forgotten what manners even are.

When I take a pro-Israel stance, Bible believing Christians will enthusiastically support and share the articles.  Predictably, secularist progressives will bash Israel and take the side of Islamic jihadists.  What is most surprising about this is that, liberals are supposed to be the ones who are “open minded” and for “women’s rights.”  It seems, however, that the only “women’s rights” that they are for is the right for a woman to murder her baby in a way that is less humane than animal euthanasia.  They don’t seem to care about the health of the women who visit these filthy, unregulated Planned Parenthood clinics.  They only care about abortion on demand or free birth control on the taxpayer’s dime.  As far as the real war on women, when they see women being oppressed in Islamic countries, they are eerily silent.

When it comes to free speech issues, secularist progressives seem to be very selective in who should have the right to speak.  They are fine with defending the rights of Muslims, atheists and any other groups desiring to bash Christians and Jews and even threaten them.  When Christians speak on any issue that they oppose, they are silenced and called racists, Islamophobes, homophobes and ignorant bubbas who don’t know any better.  They are seen as, “clinging to their Bibles and their guns,” which is actually a compliment to us Christians!

Call it what you may, “Progressives, liberals, elitists, or secular humanists,” regardless of what you call them, they all seem to be after the same agenda.  My point is that, no matter what you call it, it always seems to turn out the same.  They consistently have the same, lame talking points.  When they appear on conservative talk shows, they rudely filibuster, talk very fast and don’t let others speak.  It really seems that they have thrown their manners out the window along with any sense of morality. They believe the lie that if we just continue to “fundamentally transform America” it will be a better place, a Marxist utopia of sorts.  They don’t seem to understand that this system has failed throughout history time and time again, always ending in mass genocide.

To be fair, I have also noticed some who profess to be Christians who are rude to secularists.  I urge my brothers and sisters in Christ to rethink this approach.  I understand that it is tempting and easy to become sarcastic.  But, if we become like them, how can the world see us as set apart?  What will be different about us?  How can we be witnesses for Christ? Jesus Himself said, “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved” (Matthew 24:12-13 NKJV).  I believe that we are living in the time that Jesus is speaking of in this scripture. Christians aren’t perfect and we don’t claim to be.  Still, can’t we put a little more effort into “loving our enemies?”

I commend those Christians who have been standing up for the truth and risking verbal, and who knows, maybe someday even physical persecution in America, (God knows they are suffering persecution all over the Middle East.) The Christian who boldly stand up for truth are real heroes in my book.  Sadly, however, there are too few of them.  Too many Christians are afraid to take a stand.  Some even believe that we are to be silent in the face of evil.  Dietrich Bonhoeffer said, “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil.” Thomas Jefferson said, “Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God.”  Too many Christians misunderstand the meaning of Romans 13:1.  We are not to obey tyrants and the founding fathers knew this very well.  If God wanted us to obey tyrants, why would He have sent Moses to set the captives free? We can respect the office of the President but we mustn’t lay back and allow our very freedoms to be taken away.  Our soldiers have shed their precious blood to protect our freedoms. We should never allow them be taken away for a utopian, Marxist fantasy.

“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world” (Matthew 25:31-34, NKJV).

So, what will it be?  Will you allow an out of control, secular progressive government to rule over you?  Or will you stand with the principles that our founding fathers believed in?  Will you give up on America in her time of need and surrender to socialism or will you stand with the Constitution and the Judeo-Christian principles that brought us God’s blessings for over two hundred years?  It’s time to draw a line in the sand.  Will you be on the side of the sheep or the goats?  It’s your decision.  As for me, I choose God’s side.

Survival After the EMP

In today’s modern culture offering fresh meat in the grocery store, purified water from the kitchen tap, microwave ovens, flushing toilets and home security systems, most people’s survival skills consist of pulling out their multi-purpose cell phones and calling 911. How do you think those people would fare if civilization were to be suddenly hurled back two or three hundred years by a natural disaster or an EMP emergency?

In order to understand how to survive in North America without modern conveniences for any length of time, all we have to do is study how Native Americans did it prior to and after Europeans arrived on our shores. Things That Should Be Common Sense to Mel Whitlock

1. All elected officials, both Federal and State, should be given term limits

2. Illegal Aliens hurt the American job market, hurt the economy, and break the law

12. Racism did, does, and will always exist in legislation can fix it

16. America has no business in foreign countries that do not harbor terrorism against Americans

Quit trashing Obama's accomplishments. He has done more than any other President before him. He has an impressive list of accomplishments:

First President to apply for college aid as a foreign student, then deny he was a foreigner.

First President to have a social security number from a state he has never lived in.

First President to violate the War Powers Act.

First President to be held in contempt of court for illegally obstructing oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico .

First President to require all Americans to purchase a product from a third party.

First President to spend a trillion dollars on "shovel-ready" jobs when there was no such thing as "shovel-ready" jobs.

First President to abrogate bankruptcy law to turn over control of companies to his union supporters.

First President to by-pass Congress and implement the Dream Act through executive fiat.

First President to order a secret amnesty program that stopped the deportation of illegal immigrants across the U.S. , including those with criminal convictions.

First President to demand a company hand-over $20 billion to one of his political appointees.

First President to tell a CEO of a major corporation (Chrysler) to resign.

First President to terminate Americas ability to put a man in space.

First President to cancel the National Day of Prayer and to say that America is no longer a Christian nation.

Obama wins again and the nation loses

Owners of the plants have been squeezed by regulations forcing expensive pollution control upgrades at the same time cheaper sources of fuel have rendered the plants unprofitable. In the next two years, legal decisions affecting roughly two-thirds of the state's coal-fired power plants are expected to determine whether those plants have any future.

I would add Soap Operas on TV, reality shows with romantic emphasis like the Bachelor or Bachelorette, and the false imaginary of musical performers set up by the star making machinery. I remember Elvis and Tom Jones. It's porn, no matter how you cut it. Fantasy. Unrealistic. Damaging to fulfilling relationships. Demonic.
