I mentioned that a big contract for mediation was
coming up in California. Well it's off again. The other side in the
dispute was the Southern California Electric Company. They had lined
up several forensic experts in opposition to the plaintiff's case. The
plaintiff had only one. Then they engaged me. My CV was presented to
the other side. I was scheduled to fly out to CA to meet with both
sides to present a proper case. AND SUDDENLY SCEC settles. Decides
they can't win. Writes a big check. AND Mr Gene gets squat. I'm not
bitter...but... a big check would have been great. I hate when that
happens.
