RIP Donald Cole
He hadn't been on the air for a while. Parkinsons. While he was I listened often. He was my only sane bridge to what I saw as backslidden lukewarm evangelicalism. Moody was unlistenable for me except for him and a few other things. What appealed was not his theology, we disagreed many times, but his unfailing grace, mercy and love. Little kids would call the program with simple questions and he was so kind. I learned a lot about tolerance of ignorance from him. He would answer some of the most outrageous questions with grace in a way I don't think I could. With him gone I have less and less contact with that world. No longer listen to Moody radio at all. We lost a good one.
