Kathleen Sebelius gave the official Democrat response to Bush’s SOTU
address, but then-Senator (and Presidential candidate) Barack Obama gave
one as well. The same thing happened in 2007. Governor Jim Webb gave
the official response, but John Edwards (also a Presidential candidate) gave a second response as well
