Senator has a Mexican immigrant testify at a hearing. The man testifying from Texas and has been in the country for 23 years. The senator was insulted that the man spoke thru an interpreter. I lived overseas and if I am in another country it's MY JOB to learn to communicate. My wife who did not speak German learned it in less than two years. IF you live here, you should speak the language of law and commerce.
A Texas senator is receiving praise and criticism.

So, many things to say about this but let me make one point. Everything is upside down. We are not defining (and defending) ourselves and our laws. We are letting those on the outside to tell us who we are. They say, “America is 'inclusive' ...so include us. You can do better than what you are doing, otherwise you are being inappropriate to your values.” They bend their petitions into a moral justice argument telling Americans how to be and act without regard to actual law.
Similarly, many non Christians like to define how Christians should act. If we do not behave as they expect us to, they judge us...call us names. They want Christians to stay in their box.
The Tea Party is a response to the outsiders and liberals who want to redefine this country.
