Yet in your heart you know
it's true. Genetically you know there were kids you grew up with that
were just plain smart. Nature not nurture. This is why I oppose the
one size fits all public education
system. Kids with high native intelligence need to be challenged and
developed to their full potential. Kids with more limited intellectual
capacity should be targeted to develop the skill levels that will serve
them well for a lifetime. Schools don't do that now. No Child Left
Behind leaves many behind and the most gifted are the most abused so we
lose our intellectual capital.
