disheartening is some of these people will actually be allowed to vote
someday.

Here's another crazy example from my mother, she was an election judge in Minnesota during the 2008 election. An elderly gentleman came in to vote, and being blind they offered assistance. He told them he wanted to vote for the "Black Man" and the "Comedian". So they marked the ballet for Obama and Franken. Really? If he couldn't even remember their names, I don't think his vote should have counted.
