As
of today the days start getting longer. That is something to look
forward to. Happy first day of winter. Nice to see family and friends
give gifts eat good food. The start of a new year. But as my German
friends always used to say "we invented Christmas" and they did. But
there's always BC before Christmas and AD always dieting. Christmas is
really a cultural pivot point. The reality is there is no biblical
evidence for any of the disciples of Jesus celebrating his birth in the
first century. Not even so much as a birthday cake.. I'm no bah humbug
I just recognize this holiday for what it is. Turn of the year.
