Why most natural disasters aren't natural at all
Of course, in some cases it really is a natural disaster. When a volcano blows and causes widespread destruction beyond what anyone could have reasonably foreseen -- such as Mt St Helens in the 1980's -- that's a legitimate natural disaster. When an under-the-ocean earthquake causes a fifty-foot tsunami that wipes out a beach town, that's a legitimate natural disaster, too. When a large meteorite slams into the planet with the force of millions of atomic bombs, laying waste to an entire era of unique lifeforms (the dinosaurs, for example), that's a natural disaster.
But getting wiped out by a flood because you built your house right in the flood path of a local river is not a natural disaster. That's a man-made disaster. Or, more accurately, it's just poor planning on the part of short-sighted humans. And when it comes to disasters, there's plenty of short-sightedness to go around these days.

Why most natural disasters aren't natural at all
Chuck Comstock if you want a little advance notice on ND politics, meet the next Governor of the state. I know him, he's a good man. And understands economics.
I know Chuck Comstock doesn't watch him, but can there be anyone crazier (without a gun) than Bill Maher? Just sayin
Why I sometimes say that every Sane American should be issued a sidearm and be required to carry it at all times. I know that's hyperbole, but reading this makes me wonder. When we are all disarmed...then what?
Guns don't kill people. People kill people. Should we ban the sale of cars because of fatal automobile accidents? Should we ban all cleaning products because of all the toxic poisans they spread?

TAXEM TILL THEY SQUEAL
While there are many reasons to oppose this flawed government health insurance law, it is important to remember that Obamacare is also one of the largest tax increases in American history.
Below is a comprehensive list of the two dozen new or higher taxes that pay for Obamcare’s expansion of government spending and interference between doctors and patients.
If you want to see what is REALLY happening....read this.

Westboro Baptist Liberalism
Fred Phelps, crazed leader of the Westboro Baptist Church cult, has become infamous for blaming any bad event on the evils of homosexuality. Earthquake in Haiti? Blame the gays. Combat troop deaths in Iraq? Ditto.
Phelps' logic works thusly: God literally hates people who engage in homosexual conduct and unless societies take the steps to ban and punish such action, God is going to destroy them. Any natural disaster or mass murder is, accordingly, the will of God being carried out on the "sinners" who refuse to listen.
If that type of "logic" sounds familiar, it should be. It's exactly the same as the explanations the far left is resorting to in its efforts to pin the recent Tucson, Arizona shooting onto conservatives like Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, John Boehner, Glenn Beck, and the right generally.

Decision Process
IF someone lies, they are a liar.
If they prove to be untrue, then I must distance myself from them.
I will...now
