A taped interview Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama did with the San Francisco Chronicle in January 2008.
In the interview, which has is available online, Obama talks about the importance of coal. He went on to talk about his cap and trade proposal to help curb global warming.
“If somebody wants to build a coal power plant they can, it’s just that it will bankrupt them because they are going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted,” Barack Obama said to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Well, the green movement, government regulations and Obama’s attitude toward coal power has resulted in the abortion of 3 coal power plants.
Want to see cap and trade in action? This is that. When your electric rates double in North Dakota, you have Obama to thank.
