Inflation on the way

So is everyone printing money?

The U.S. is printing lots of money.....

The Bank of England is printing lots of money.....

The EU is printing lots of money....

Japan is printing lots of money.....

China is printing lots of money.....

India is printing lots of money.....

Of course anyone with half a brain can see where all of this is ultimately headed. In the end, inflation is going to spiral out of control and we are going to witness financial implosion on a global scale.

Gene, we have created jobs. I have been focused on the economy like a laser beam. Our recovery from the Bush depression is ten years ahead of schedule. My friend Jimmy knew how to recover the Ford economy back in the seventies as well.

Gene, where do you recommend putting your cash? I know that commodities are a good investment but how do you do it "safely" and which ones do you recommend? What else should be considered?

There really will be no safe haven. A diverse portfolio in various stocks would weather the best. Commodities are dangerous if you don't know what you are doing. A better, safer bet is agricultural corporations, particularily processors. People need to eat.

If this is Revelation playing out, money shouldn't be your focus. For you and your family's welfare, best to rely on basics. If you have the ability and want to own a milk cow or goat, so be it. If you have the ability and want to put up your own wood, so be it. When things get really bad, the primitive will shine. Land, livestock, and a nice garden will help. Be subtle though. Be careful of theft. Don't advertise your self-sufficiency or resources. Diversify your garden locations if possible. If one plot gets robbed, you have some backup. Theft was an issue when times were good. It will be bad when times get bad. Most importantly, keep your focus on Christ.

Chuck, there are few places of safety. Cash will decline in value. Commodities are risky. Stock market will drop in half. Bonds when the real interest rate goes to 11 percent will be of little value. I don't have a good answer

Oh, and some reasons to perhaps live on the primitive side of life.
1. Solar flares

2. EMP burst.

Both can knock out our fragile electronics. In 1859, a solar flare knocked out the much more primitive and thus more rugged telegraph system. A solar flare with today's delicate electronics will make mince meat out of them. Wires so tiny you need a microscope to see do not stand a chance of survival. That is every computer, every vehicle, every gas pump, every cash register, practically every radio (some old school HAMS will maybe survive.) Two months out of power? That would be very optimistic. We would be talking decades. Entire cities would become death zones from years and years of propped up social decay suddenly with no support.

Primitive...primitive. Think primitive to win. The Adam line through Seth were animal husbandryman. Cain's line were....city folk. I am an old country boy lost in the city. Hmmm.......
