If it is just a tradition of man, it might be a good one that we want to keep. BUT…we should not teach it as a commandment of God. And we should not condemn those who choose not to keep it. Traditions can be good…like everyone driving to grandmother’s house for Thanksgiving dinner each year. That’s good. But, when you determine that someone who does not hold the same tradition is apart from God or backslidden…that’s when you have joined the ranks of the scribes and Pharisees. Considering how Jesus felt about those people, I certainly don’t want to be a part of that number.
