In the end it's not about Jesus, it's about money. Freely Given, Freely Give is a lost function in ministry.

Dr. Robert Schuller and his wife said "with great sadness" that they resigned from the board of directors of the televangelist ministry he made famous through "Hour of Power."

It's sad to see the Crystal Cathedral ministry of the Schullers turn into "Hope Center of Christ" (their new name) and have to re-locate from the Crystal Cathedral. God removed the ministry from the Schullers. Perhaps it was because of their emphasis of positive thinking over spreading the gospel? I don't know.

I was a long-time donor of the ministry but I stopped several years ago. I remember receiving a letter from Robert Schuller Sr and it said something about not telling people about hell. I wondered if it was because they didn't want to offend anyone, or scare them, or maybe they thought everyone gets to heaven?? Hell is real. Jesus taught about it more than anyone in the New Testament, and there will be a judgement I thought perhaps this was evidence of liberal-thinking from the Schullers and I stopped donating. I haven't regretted the decision but I am sad about the loss of the once-giant ministry.
