IF we trained our boys and girls the proper use of firearms, safety principles, the principle of "Don't ever point a gun at something you don't plan to kill", we would have safer streets. I fondly remember being taught by caring men to handle a gun well, shoot straight and take care of my weapon. In college the assembly and dis-assembly of the M-1 was part of ROTC. Our gun phobia has made us less safe.
