The Redlin Reality Christmas Show 12-25-2011

There’s something about Christmas I despise; I really really hate the song, Santa Baby. OK, I got that out of my system.

About the year just passed. Peggy my wife of 45 glorious years and I celebrated our 45th anniversary. OK maybe one or two were tiny bit short of fully glorious, but well over the majority have been wonderful. I don’t’ recall how we celebrated; that comes with that many years too.

I officially became a ward of the state by signing up for social security. It is welcome every month. BLIP, there it is. It just shows up in my checking account. Who knew?

Speaking of money, 2011 started out rough. I had a major customer go really bad on me. Life changing bad. I was as broke as broke could be in Jan and Feb. I am going to write a book about the revelation that came out of all that. That’s for another time.

In late Dec into early Jan I decided to lower the Medicare cash reserves by having a pesky cataract removed. That sorta worked. More on that later. Let’s just say that if you are on Medicare and you get 47 bills for one procedure, only pay the ones that threaten your kneecaps. The rest are just fishing for cash.

We spent time in the old Buick up and down the road. Went to Lincoln NE for a few days to See Kevin on his 40th Birthday. Kevin is our youngest. Tim is our oldest, 44. I can’t quite figure out how that all works since I was just 44 just a few weeks ago…or so it seems.

Peggy took on a short term big project. She ran a cookie route for Pepperidge Farms Distributor. She did really well. The route kinda reached an end. But it showed her she is capable of anything she sets her mind to do and it is a marketable skill she can use any time she needs to. I’m proud of her. She’s an amazing woman.

I asked Peggy before I started writing this what she wanted me to report, she said, “We’re still kicking”. I guess that sums it up. She is a woman of few words. I’m far more verbose. Read on for proof.

We have had family struggles that come with age. Ben, Peggy’s dad has had a tough year. In December of Last year he had what appears to have been a stroke. He hasn’t been able to come home. He is in the nursing home. He has drifted. I don’t know what the short term outcome will be. I do know the ultimate outcome. My Dad (Uncle Earl) still resides in the Nursing home. Tough situation. I think about these good men and the years after pearl harbor. 70 years ago. I reflected on how old they both were on that day, Earl was 26, Ben 24. Yet off to war they went. They ARE the Greatest Generation.

A tear appeared in my universe. I was out working at the nursery one hot day in June, swinging a pick axe, all sweaty when suddenly on a Friday afternoon one eye went dark. Sightless. I didn’t panic. I don’t panic easily. That night I went to a prayer meeting. I asked folks to pray for me. My eye was still dark. The next morning I called the eye clinic where I had my cataract surgery. The week before they had done a cut away of a layer behind my lens by laser to help clear up my vision. The nurse didn’t seem to think it was too serious. Monday I went into to see the doc. He panicked. My retina had torn. I was immediately admitted to the Wheaton eye clinic. With cryogenic freezing and lasers they patched up my torn retina. It wasn’t painless. My eye was so swollen I would have been a great Zombie movie extra. I asked the older than me Doctor if the cause of this event was my working hard or blood pressure or the result of cataract surgery. NOPE, the doc said, “You are getting old”. No cure for that I guess. He asked, “How do you feel about this?”. Sad; I said . He replied, “Don’t be sad about this. There will be other things to be sad about later“. Wisdom. I shall heed it.

I have been very busy. Mostly doing evaluations. I travel all over America appraising nurseries and their operations. It has been very productive. AND the nursery business has been good.

So in spite of the difficulty of a seriously deadbeat customer, we have had a good year. Speaking of which, I was able to get a settlement in court from a man that has owed me substantial money for several years. Seems like the enemy is paying back all he stole from me.

We haven’t traveled a great deal on pleasure travel. I travel a lot for business. Peggy and I went to Asheville NC. I had an appraisal to do. While there we went to see the Biltmore Mansion. I was very impressed and wondered why we don’t have a house and garden like that. I call these kind of places bad for my spirit. NAH. Yet it was a thrill. The Vanderbilt Mansion speaks to the power of free enterprise.

I have been ministering here and there during which I have discovered something; the LOVE OFFERING. I am amazed. Nearly everywhere I spoke an offering was given. It was appreciated. I had never been given an offering before. I am grateful and humbled by it. In a couple cases I tried to give it back. They wouldn’t take it. I have learned from all this.

We have had a house guest for a few months. A lady we have known for a while. She is moving but had to have a job in her new city. Until that was sealed up, she couldn’t move. She now has a job and will be gone by January. It has been an interesting time having two women in the house.

We visited Peggy’s brother Clair. He lives near Akron OH. He built a log cabin, log by log - by hand. It’s huge. It was a kit, but much assembly was required. Handy folks those Schefferts.

Thanksgiving was at the Scheffert house in Oakes ND. Ben was able to come. It was difficult. Painful. Yet good. Almost everyone made it back for what may be the last.

The Buick threw a rod while were back in ND for Thanksgiving. I mean what’s up with a car giving up at 250,000 miles? It’s just broke in. I had a used engine installed; 67,000 miles on it. I was counseled to dump it, but it’s a good car and it’s PAID FOR. BUT, I’m looking. Shhhh…don’t tell the Buick.

All in all 2011 has been an interesting year. I’m not worried about buying Peggy a birthday Present next December on the 22 since according to the Mayan Calendar the world will end on the December 21, 2012. Wait, didn’t it end twice this year? Maybe I will have to shop after all.

IF you are getting this it means we Love you, we miss you, we wish that all the people from our lives were as near as this page is to you right now. May God bless you with all the Joy you can stand. In everything and even FOR everything, give thanks. We do. There is no Glory to be shared outside of the Glory of God in our lives. HE gets ALL of the Glory.

Peggy doesn’t Facebook, but I’m big on Social Media. You can find me if you are too. I blog. Two of them. Google can find them.

Things I learned from My GPS

While traveling the last few weeks using my Garmin GPS I began to see some truths emerge:

The expected arrival time at your destination will usually run longer not shorter, no matter how hard you push, even if you exceed the posted limit. It's the slow downs, detours and diversions that rob you of getting where you want to be when you expected to.

The best route to get you where you want to go is not always the most obvious, the most well traveled or the best marked, but it probably is the fastest if you trust the informer.

The obstacles you run into, like traffic jams only delay, don't defer. If you don't give up you will arrive at your destination.

Looking at the distance yet to travel is more disheartening than the projected time of arrival.

Not giving up will get you where you want to go.

Sometimes stopping and deciding once more where your destination is will reset the route.

To deal with your impatience, set an intermediate point on your unit, then when you get there you can reset to your ultimate destination if you don't get trapped into staying.
I don't know if this is true or not. BUT, then I thought, what if it is, and they DON'T come lock me up for being a radical christian, a conservative, a pro lifer, one who is well prepared for difficult times, armed, Bible believing....for that is the profile of a "terrorist" today. IF they don't come get me...what does THAT mean? If I am on trial for being a christian, I hope there is evidence to convict me. How about you?

OK, a secret. IF you want to make good money, if you are a good author, if you have technical savvy, the new thing is Kindle Publishing. This is NOT self publishing as you used to know it, people are doing very well with this. There is only one caution. It's a meritocracy. If you are a lousy writer, you will not make any money in this. I have known of this for several months, today the Wall Street Journal blew the cover off this. SO, now you know.

I was just thinking today about all the wonderful scripture songs we used to sing back in the late 70's and early 80's. I internalized a lot of gospel by singing them. I just today was sing, "Some trust in chariots, some in Horses, but I will trust in the name of the Lord my GOD." I know I'm an old throwback to the Charismatic days, but I wonder if we didn't lose something by sloughing off those scripture songs.

How to get out of the rut, I need to hear this!

1. Pray
2. Go to bed on time.
3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.
4. Say No to projects that won't fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health.

5. Delegate tasks to capable others.
6. Simplify and unclutter your life.
7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.)
8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.

9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.
10. Take one day at a time.
11. Separate worries from concerns. If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety. If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.
12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.

13.. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.
14. K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.
15. Do something for the Kid in You everyday.

16. Carry a spiritually enlightening book with you to read while waiting in line.
17. Get enough rest.
18. Eat right.
19. Get organized so everything has its place.

20.. Listen to a tape while driving that can help improve your quality of life..
21. Write down thoughts and inspirations.
22. Every day, find time to be alone.
23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until it's time to go to bed to try and pray.
24. Make friends with Godly people.

25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.
26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good 'Thank you Jesus .'
27. Laugh.
28. Laugh some more!
29. Take your work seriously, but not yourself at all.
30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).

31.. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most).
32. Sit on your ego.
33. Talk less; listen more.
34. Slow down.
35. Remind yourself that you are not the general manager of the universe.
36. Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before. GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU.

'If God is for us, who can be against us?'

The testimony you confess is your theology lived out

The testimony you carry, the testimony you confess is your theology lived out. If your life is not as you wish it were, find out what part of your theology is flawed. Read Hebrews 11. They suffered. They died. But their theology was centered. I see too many people living in defeat, lack, difficulty and complaint. That is the result of bad theology. It's not that hard, it requires a much richer faith than most of us live.

WHY A LITTLE POWER IS A DANGEROUS THING SLIPPERY SLOPE STORY:

Yesterday when going into the courtroom I was asked to surrender my cell phone. I am in court a great deal, mostly as an expert witness. Ten years ago when cell phones became ubiquitous you could carry your phone into the court room, you just couldn't use them. THEN, you could have your phone but not if it had a camera, but attorneys and professionals could keep theirs.

THEN, individuals had to surrender their phone, but attorneys and professionals got to keep theirs, yesterday, nobody got to keep their phone at all.

It's like the TSA. Once you cede a little power to an authority, they will take it all the way to the limit. Be very careful what you give up.

REMEMBER, the seat belt laws were originally only if you were stopped for something else. NOW, they can stop you and ticket you if they see you without a seat belt on. It's not about the intent. It's about the slippery slope.

AMAZINGLY SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES:

1. AVOID CUTTING YOURSELF WHEN SLICING VEGETABLES BY GETTING SOMEONE ELSE TO HOLD THE VEGETABLES WHILE YOU CHOP.

2. AVOID ARGUMENTS WITH THE FEMALES ABOUT LIFTING THE TOILET SEAT BY USING THE SINK.

3. FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE SUFFERERS ~ SIMPLY CUT YOURSELF AND BLEED FOR A FEW MINUTES, THUS REDUCING THE PRESSURE ON YOUR VEINS. REMEMBER TO USE A TIMER.

4. A MOUSE TRAP PLACED ON TOP OF YOUR ALARM CLOCK WILL PREVENT YOU FROM ROLLING OVER AND GOING BACK TO SLEEP AFTER YOU HIT THE SNOOZE BUTTON.

5. IF YOU HAVE A BAD COUGH, TAKE A LARGE DOSE OF LAXATIVES. THEN YOU'LL BE AFRAID TO COUGH.

6. YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

7. IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

DAILY THOUGHT:

SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES - NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS.

Work Change is Coming

I have recently been saying and now am convinced more than ever before:

1. Your education, whatever it is will not get you a job. It can keep a door from slamming in your face. Dependence on education to insure a good future is idolatry.

2. What you have skills and abilities in is the thing people hire. Your diploma only says you can learn and can do your homework.

3. A degree doesn't mean you can do anything, it only means you have some capacity to pass tests.

4. We are about to go thru a great change in the workforce. Many many many more will be unemployed soon. That will mean only those with something they know how to do better than someone else that someone will pay you for matters.

5. The idea of a "JOB" is becoming obsolete. Every person, no matter who they are, no matter what they do has become an independent contractor, an entrepreneur. Using "Job" security as a crutch is like a burger joint thinking they have customer security.

6. Pensions and government support are about to evaporate. People who trusted in them will find themselves hungry, cold and homeless. The money is running out.

7. Find an escape clause. You must quickly assess your abilities and talents and begin to find someone to "Buy" them. That may be a menial job that becomes publicity for a step up, but you will always be on display from this day forward.

You have now been warned.

Court is over

I am glad to announce that the man who owed me money in Warren County settled when brought to court. I wish it had not come to this, but he owed the money and was intent in cheating me.

If you cheat someone, expect to be taken to court.

This is a really bad situation

Here’s the best thing that can be said about the new detention powers the Senate has tucked into next year’s defense bill: They don’t force the military to detain American citizens indefinitely without a trial. They just let the military do that. And even though the leaders of the military and the spy community have said they want no such power, the Senate is poised to pass its bill as early as tonight.

There are still changes swirling around the Senate, but this looks like the basic shape of the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act. Someone the government says is “a member of, or part of, al-Qaida or an associated force” can be held in military custody “without trial until the end of the hostilities authorized by the Authorization for Use of Military Force.” Those hostilities are currently scheduled to end the Wednesday after never. The move would shut down criminal trials for terror suspects.

Obama gets the clap

Barack Obama, at a recent rural elementary school assembly in West Virginia, asked the audience for total quiet. Then, in the silence, he started to slowly clap his hands once every few seconds, holding the audience in total silence.
Then he said into the microphone, 'Children, every time I clap my hands together, a child in America dies from gun violence.'

Then, little Richard Earl, with a proud West Virginia drawl, pierced the quiet and said: 'Well, dumbass, stop clapping!'

This is how to understand our current situation

Heidi is the proprietor of a bar in Detroit ...

She realizes that virtually all of her customers are unemployed alcoholics and, as such, can no longer afford to patronize her bar.

To solve this problem, she comes up with a new marketing plan that allows her customers to drink now, but pay later.

Heidi keeps track of the drinks consumed on a ledger (thereby granting the customers loans).

Word gets around about Heidi's "drink now, pay later" marketing strategy and, as a result, increasing numbers of customers flood into Heidi's bar. Soon she has the largest sales volume for any bar in Detroit .

By providing her customers freedom from immediate payment demands, Heidi gets no resistance when, at regular intervals, she substantially increases her prices for wine and beer, the most consumed beverages.

Consequently, Heidi's gross sales volume increases massively.

A young and dynamic vice-president at the local bank recognizes that these customer debts constitute valuable future assets and increases Heidi's borrowing limit.

He sees no reason for any undue concern because he has the debts of the unemployed alcoholics as collateral!

At the bank's corporate headquarters, expert traders figure a way to make huge commissions, and transform these customer loans into DRINKBONDS.

These "securities" then are bundled and traded on international securities markets.

Naive investors don't really understand that the securities being sold to them as "AAA Secured Bonds" really are debts of unemployed alcoholics. Nevertheless, the bond prices continuously climb - and the securities soon become the hottest-selling items for some of the nation's leading brokerage houses.

One day, even though the bond prices still are climbing, a risk manager at the original local bank decides that the time has come to demand payment on the debts incurred by the drinkers at Heidi's bar. He so informs Heidi.

Heidi then demands payment from her alcoholic patrons. But, being unemployed alcoholics -- they cannot pay back their drinking debts.

Since Heidi cannot fulfill her loan obligations she is forced into bankruptcy. The bar closes and Heidi's 11 employees lose their jobs.

Overnight, DRINKBOND prices drop by 90%.

The collapsed bond asset value destroys the bank's liquidity and prevents it from issuing new loans, thus freezing credit and economic activity in the community.

The suppliers of Heidi's bar had granted her generous payment extensions and had invested their firms' pension funds in the BOND securities.

They find they are now faced with having to write off her bad debt and with losing over 90% of the presumed value of the bonds.

Her wine supplier also claims bankruptcy, closing the doors on a family business that had endured for three generations, her beer supplier is taken over by a competitor, who immediately closes the local plant and lays off 150 workers.

Fortunately though, the bank, the brokerage houses and their respective executives are saved and bailed out by a multibillion dollar no-strings attached cash infusion from the government.

The funds required for this bailout are obtained by new taxes levied on employed, middle-class, nondrinkers who have never been in Heidi's bar.

Now do you understand?

I agree with NEWT, even though I don't support him for POTUS

ABC News' Jake Tapper talked to GOP presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich about topics including a defense of his charge that child-labor laws are stupid because poor children need to "learn how to go to work." We're pretty sure he wasn't kidding. Check out his idea in these highlights of the exchange:

“Look,” Gingrich said, “at a time when you have up to 43% black teenage unemployment, you have entire communities that are devastated, you have neighborhoods where nobody has worked and nobody has any habit of work ... "

“Young children who are poor ought to learn how to go to work,” he continued. “What I’ve said is, for example, it would be great if inner city schools and poor neighborhood schools actually hired the children to do things. Some of the things they could do is work in the library, work in the front office. Some of them frankly, could be janitorial ... "

"[W]hat if they cleaned out the bathrooms and what if they mopped the floors? What if in the summer they repainted the school? What if in that process they were actually learning to work, learning to earn money, they had money on their own, they didn’t have to become a pimp or a prostitute or a drug dealer, they had money on their own?

“Now that’s not a casual comment,” Gingrich said. “It actually grows out of a lot of thinking over many years of trying to figure out who do we break out people trapped in poverty who have no habits of work."

"I am sure for [President Obama] it [whether he has done enough for the black community] has to almost involve cognitive dissonance because how can he look in -- how can he say, ‘This is the community I have done so little for?’ “I think as Americans, forget the president for a moment, Americans if you truly believe you are endowed by our Creator with the right to pursue happiness, one of my major goals, is to apply that to the poorest neighborhoods in America in very very different ways and try to break out of what we have trapped people into for the last forty years.”

Photo to Make You Miss Photos of the President Clearing Brush

Remember this stupid article on the front page of the New York Times about how the Obama White House was such a men's club that it intimidated female staffers? Well, ladies, are you still intimidated by all that testosterone?

Oh well, at least he took the training wheels off. How does Mahmoud Ahmadinejad sleep at night? Oh yeah, soundly.

I added this to remember what a real man looks like. Of course, if there's any doubt we can always compare them throwing out the first pitch again.

Oh, and here's President Pantywaist trying to act butch for the red state voters and not quite pulling it off.

But I did find this photo of raw masculinity from the Obama administration.

Somewhere there's a softball-playing Elena Kagan who is jealous.
How come when I read the news or watch MSNBC I get the feeling that what is really being said is: "If you ever come across Herman Cain or Clarence Thomas, I want you to detain them and call me immediately. They belong to me. They escaped from my plantation".
I don't know if Herman did or didn't. I don't know if Clarence did or didn't. I do know that leaving the plantation is grounds for a flogging. And the media types are more than willing to oblige.
This guy says it better than I could. Social Justice as a supposedly Christian Concept is error (in my humble opinion). The Sojourners and Jim Wallis pastoral stream is one I do not believe in. I know that it seems right, but it's not. I can't find scriptural basis for giving someone something without some level of accountability required of them. I'm not trying to change your mind, it's more a hope that you can understand that these issues are felt as passionately by those who don't buy into social gospel.
The EPA has made a command that all cars which currently get an average of 27MPG will get almost 55 MPG by 2025. That'll be easy. Right? I think the EPA should make a command that Cancer be cured by 2015 or else. Or, perhaps by 2014 they could cure Baldness...that'd be good. OR by 2017 cure FAT. I mean, how dumb can you be and still breath?? Does making up stupid rules negate science and physics?
George W Bush proposed the Following while in office:

  • Pulling the troops out of Iraq,
  • Keeping Guantanamo open,
  • Finding Bin Laden, and gathering the intelligence to do so,
  • Continuing the Patriot Act,
  • Implementing across the board tax cuts,
  • Stimulus packages,
  • Auto bailouts

And all of those have come to pass under the Obama Administration.

That Hope and Change Thingy:: not so much. The one thing the President has done tinkering with the health care system is probably going to be down-scaled a great deal. Harrumph
IF you want a glimpse of the future in America you only need to look at Greece. The Church will find this staggering and at the same time a great opportunity. That will define the real church and those that are just placeholder institutions. Lots of preaching, not much doing of the "Stuff".
www.charismanews.com
Kees den Toom, Operation Mobilizations' leader in Greece, discusses how the local church is responding to the Greek financial crisis.

Holiness isn't

If you want to understand true Holiness, here's a clue:

"But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;" 1 Peter 2:10

When you are called out of darkness into light you become something completely other than the rest of the world. You are unique. You are HOLY. It's the OTHERNESS that makes you holy. Stop TRYING to be Holy, recognize that your calling out makes you Holy. When you see that, the behavior will follow. You can LIVE like this. Don't let anyone Should on you by telling you you aren't living Holy. It's not behavior, it's identity. Uniqueness. Differentiated.

A little Bible study will help you, look up all the words holiness, holy. You will most of the time see it Holy AND. Blameless, without spot. When we get the idea out of our heads that Holy is something we do rather than who we are, the easier it will be to obey.
You have to see who is number 25 in this list.

For every Steve Jobs and every Warren Buffett, there's an equal and opposite nitwit who spent 2011 devouring attention and contributing nothing to productive society. We salute the great artisans of utter uselessness with the one celebratory year-end list you don't want to be on
Saw this and had to re-post... Merry Christmas!!!
This man represents a view I share. I don't know what Herman Cain has or has not done. It doesn't look good, but I'm willing to allow the chips fall as they will.

When I see the TSA I see Gestapo

<<“I walk with a walker — I really look like a terrorist,” she said sarcastically. “I’m tiny. I weigh 110 pounds, 107 without clothes, and I was strip-searched.” ...As she tried to lift a lightweight walker off her lap, she says, the metal bars banged against her leg and blood trickled from a gash. “My sock was soaked with blood,” she said... She says the TSA agents showed no sympathy, instead pulling down her pants and asking her to raise her arms... Zimmerman, who takes blood thinners, later had a tetanus shot for fear of infection from the walker wound.>>

Do we have Revolution?

The longer I live, the more I discover the truth of this admonition:

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:8-9

Pastor-James Michael Lewis on Fighting the Battle you are in

I saw this comment and it spoke clearly to me, Hope it does to you:

What makes it important is the instruction of Jude verse 3, which says, "Earnestly contend for the faith, once for all, delivered to the Saints." And the faith, once for all, delivered to the Saints is talking about the Scripture and the content of sound doctrine, the revelation of God committed to us. We are to earnestly fight for the faith, to contend for that faith. If we're going to contend for the faith we need to understand where the battle is coming from.

A quote from Martin Luther that I found very interesting. This is what Martin Luther said, "If I profess with the loudest and clearest exposition, every portion of the truth of God, except that little point, which the world and the devil are, at that moment, attacking. I am not confessing Christ. However, boldly, I may be professing him. Where the battle rages, said Luther, there the loyalty of the soldier is proved. And to be steady on all the battlefield, besides is mere flight and disgrace if he flinches at that point," end quote.

Luther was saying if you're gonna call yourself a Christian then you have to fight the battle where the battle rages. And where it rages today, and I think all through history, is at the very point of the truth of Scripture.

The Bible is under incessant assault from the enemy. It's pretty easy to understand, from the biblical prospective, God is the source of, author of, truth. Satan is the source of, author of, lies. And, therein, is the battle, God's truth, Satan's lies. And Satan attacks God's truth relentlessly with his lies.

"JUST A THOUGHT" can you say "BREAK THROUGH" coming and the enemy only wants to sabotage and delay "DESTINY"

True Christmas

FIRST CHRISTMAS CARD

Cleverly done!!!

Twas the Month before Christmas

Twas the month before Christmas

When all through our land,

Not a Christian was praying

Nor taking a stand.

See the PC Police had taken away

The reason for Christmas - no one could say.

The children were told by their schools not to sing

About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.

It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say

December 25th is just a ' Holiday'.

Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit

Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!

CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-Pod

Something was changing, something quite odd!

Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa

In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.

As Targets were hanging their trees upside down

At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.

At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears

You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.

Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty

Are words that were used to intimidate me.

Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen

On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton!

At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter

To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.

And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith

Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace

The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded

The reason for the season, stopped before it started.

So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your 'Dream Tree'

Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.

Choose your words carefully, choose what you say

Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS,

not Happy Holiday!

Please, all Christians join together and

wish everyone you meet

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Christ is The Reason' for the Christ-mas Season!
