The Perfect BAD Example

I read the blogs compiled at Crosswalk.com.

Most of the contributors are thoughtful, wise, clever and demonstrate spiritual depth.

One of those who writes and is none of the above is a man by the name of John Shore. Who, in my estimation must be someone's brother in law otherwise how could such a shallow man be allowed to write in the same company as the others. I'm not certain he's a Christian. At least as I would know one. If he is, he needs serious discipleship. Of course, having read his "Profundity" he wouldn't think of being open to correction. He thinks he's funny and a bit irreligious. But, when I read what he writes I get a twist in my spirit. He's one of those who likes to push the envelope of open minded evangelicalism that is a deception of the Devil. Mark him well. He is not to be trusted. I am judging him as you should.

There are biblical passages that require men and women of God to Judge one another in spirituals. (Charismata)

1 Corinthians 14
29Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said. 30And if a revelation comes to someone who is sitting down, the first speaker should stop. 31For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged. 32The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets. 33For God is not a God of disorder but of peace.

Romans 16
17
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

18For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Romans 8
12Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. 13For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, 14because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship.[g] And by him we cry, "Abba,[h] Father." 16The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. 17Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
He will never read this and if he did would not heed it. My warning is to those who might follow his path of insulting the Spirit of Grace and treating the things of God with soft contempt. It is the sin of Nadab and Abiu who offering strange fire, are burnt by fire.

Hebrews 10
29How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?
Mark him well.

I don't agree with your view, but I assume you are just trying to be faithful to the scriptures as you read them.

I would question your use of the Hebrews quote. You may not like John's approach or agree with him, but is it not a bit of a stretch to say that he has "trampled the son of God under foot"? or "treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him" I can run with a little hyperbole myself, but to use scripture for it is probably out of bounds.

What about; "Judge not that ye be not judged - for with the measure you use it will be measured unto you"? Personally, I am skeptical when anyone gives himself the title; "prophet". You seem more wrapped up in your own delusions of grandeur than glorifying God - and that sends up red flags of warning; False Prophet!

Oh, you have to approve your comments before they appear? That may explain why none are there yet.

I post nearly ALL comments I get. Seldom do I not. I posted yours.

To make a discerning point. I operate in the Office of a Prophet. BUT, If you understood it, you would know that not everything I say is coming from that office.

I am allowed to have opinions of my own, not directly from the mouth of God.

So, if I were a Pastor, Teacher, Apostle, Evangelist or Prophet, I have times when I speak prophetically, and others when I express my own opinion. I am careful to differentiate.

Remember when a prophet speaks, he is only to say what God says. I (on my prophetic blog) am faithful to that. Judge me there, not here as false or true.

Oh, and, we are to judge. As you did me. Rightly or wrongly. We are responsible according to scripture to judge the output of people, particularly those who are supposed to be of God or have a platform. According to James we should be very careful to be careful with the word of God. James 3:1 Let not many of you be teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive heavier judgment

That is my issue with SHORE. He has chosen to take this place, he has a responsibility. He has deviated from it.

Andrew, I get the view point you express. The interpretation of scripture is my own. As I see it. Not (again) prophetic.

I asked myself (scripturally) what is it that does indeed trample underfoot the word of God?

Or what is it that treats the Blood of God as Unholy.

I believe that Mr Shore crosses that barrier.

I stand by my contention. He is a bad fit for the Crosswalk forum.

I wish they would reconsider his place there.

You are right about one thing; I judged you in the same way that you judged John Shore. That was wrong and I ask you and God to forgive me. I was reacting out of painful past experience and not out of love as I always desire to act. May God bless you.

Deborah,

No it isn't. If someone comes as an authority figure, if someone comes in the name of the Lord, if someone quotes scripture, your job according to Scripture is to judge them. That' includes John Shore and me.

What I don't have a right to is judging you, him or anyone else as to sin. The same measure issue in that passage is important.

False teaching is not sin if it's unknown. If however someone is brought to account and does not correct or explain, then judgment is essential.

How else will the Body of Christ be able to discern. Where are the watchers on the wall. What about Jeremiah?. He certainly judged the false teachers.

It's correct to do so. Discernment spiritual gift. What is it we are to discern? Truth and error. Prove all things thru scripture and test one another.

I hope you get the difference.

That's the dumbest thing I've heard in a long time, Northern Gleaner. Of course John Shore's a Christian.

Instead of throwing out a bunch of bible verses and acting like you're the authority on who's a christian and who's not, you should go and ask Christ (as in CHRISTian) to reveal it to you..

Hmmm... and maybe I'm the authority on REAL prophets.. I guess I could just go ahead and declare you a FALSE one, eh?

Let's see Daniel, My comment was, I'm not SURE Shore is a Christian.

I don't know. I was going on evidence. It was a bit short in my estimation.

NOW, as to your evaluation of my standing as a Prophet, false or otherwise, I suggest as I did an earlier commenter, you decide based on the prophetic alone, not this. This is my non Prophetic opinion as a person who has an opinion, as good or bad as yours.

When I have a thus saith the Lord regarding John Shore, I'll let you know. Till then, it's my schooled opinion.

Nothing more. I'm glad all you fans of John have shown up. It's time to examine yourselves and him.

Then, let's see how things lay.

By they way, I read his "treatise" on who is or is not a Christian. Elkian.

WOW.

That's some concept. I guess If I wear a Bears shirt, get a helmet and watch every game it makes me a member of the Bears....Right?

Actually John illustrates a huge fallacy in the Body of Christ.

I asked Jesus...He said, not EVERYONE who says Lord Lord is a Christian..... or an Elkian.

Sorry John...,

Missed another one.
