Things I learn from Commerce: Part of what I do is consult for companies in distress. Work with banks. Work with creditors and debtors. Work with lawyers. Here's some things I have once more learned

Most people are unwilling to stand up for themselves in the face of injustice.

Bullies win because cowardice is taught in our schools.

Lawyers who know the law use it to avoid being ethical

Banks are bureaucratic nightmares without the ability to make a decision up or down the line.

Advice from an expert if useless if no one takes recommend action.

No good thing happens once lawyers get involved.

Track the money in every deal...it reveals a lot.

Courage is everything, fearlessness is it's own reward.

Confront the dishonest, the crooked, the liars, the manipulators. Be a thorn in their side till they come clean.

Nothing succeeds like persistence..wear them down. But never ever cut off the conversation. Stay on them. Don't break the chain. They will come to understanding if you stay with it long enough.

If you are on the side of right, nothing else matters.

A fresh trained eye on every situation offers up right answers to hard questions. You learn more by asking questions than by talking.

Most people cannot handle the truth... living as a prisoner of hope in illusion is much better for many. Once you face facts you can find your way out.

Come to think of it, these are things that many politicians need to learn...
