People are really quick to call 9-11 for any reason.. fire departments hate cell phone reports. You can be burning a tiny pile of leaves and the engines show up because someone called it in.. we have too many nanny fanny callers. This "gun" was called in. The caller said it was probably fake. The cops didn't get that message.
He was a 12 year old kid. Watched lots of gun play on TV. Cop shows where all the cops all the time are sticking their guns into their waistbands. He was doing what he saw.

Cops are really really edgy. They fear for their life and I get it..
yet he kid DIDN'T aim the gun at anyone. It helped not at all that the
kid is black. IF this had been a white kid, the time frame between
reaching for the toy and a bullet in the head would be much longer.
SO SOME GUY wants to do something with marking the toy guns. That won't help much. It's a culture problem .. Calls by cell phone. Patterning on TV cop shows. Cops who maybe don't have the capacity to be cops in emotional intelligence.
