This used to be the case in North Dakota, the Prison was called the State Farm.
They raised all the meat, milk, eggs, produce etc that the
prisoners ate. It worked pretty well. They also had a line of products.
The clothing they wore came from inside. It was a self sustaining
system.. THEN.. corporation prisons got involved.
