Canning Summer

We're not as "Organic" as we used to be. But we like our own tomatoes for soup and lasagna in winter. It's just the two of us and a dozen plants yields all the tomatoes we need.

Today Peggy and I canned several Jars. I do enjoy this.

A couple weeks ago I made 6 pints of spaghetti Sauce using fresh tomatoes.

We froze it. Speecy Spicy Meatballeez.

I like putting summer in a jar. Makes winter more fun.

I'd like to sit down in your yard with a shaker of salt and try one of yours...
Our garden produced some great "Roma" tomatoes. I couldn't believe how good the "Better Boys" were. This year's "Sheyenne" tomatoes were medium sized and juicy. I think I/we all need a few more BLT's in life.
(Uh, there's a bit of tomatoe that just dripped on your shirt...)
