I’m thankful for the Iraq Invasion and as far as it has gone

I was thinking about the men lost in the battle for Okinawa in the Second World War. Many many more than have been lost in Iraq. But having that base for our American Marines and Air Force kept a lid on Japan and Korea and maybe China during the post war years as things settled out. What stirred me was the death of the man that took the famous flag raising picture.

Now with Iranian nutcases on the loose, Syrian Collaborators and other Islamic Fascists running rampant we must be thankful for the fact that we have Air Base Baghdad. Wouldn’t it be something today if we had not taken steps to establish this.

I f am not pleased at the fact that we are bogged down, I am pleased that we are there at all. This was a gamble. All the dice haven’t yet been thrown. I’m still on the line. I think a wider more aggresive stance in Iraq would be good right now as things have quieted down.

Is it worth it? For sure! Kurdistan no matter what will stand as a republic unto itself even if everything else fails.

So, let’s see. A free democratic Kurdistan, Air Baghdad, small gains but gains nonetheless.

All the whole deal isn’t in yet. Easy to Monday Morning Quarterback at the beginning of the season. It takes vision to get to the Superbowl no matter how last weeks game went.

If we do not grow weary by the press trying to wear us down we will reap if we do not faint.
