Sad but Glorious Loss

Since there is next of kin to be notified I'll not say more than this loss of a man who was a family friend happened yesterday in a sad but glorious way. I know he would have wanted to go like this. At the helm of his beloved airplane. Many pilots who I know think of the time of their stepping from time into eternity at the yoke of their bird as an apt way to go. Beats 2 years at a nursing home.

Here's the story. The Forum hasn't acknowledged yet that a Dakota Pilot is the man in the story.

Hail to you Gerry, You died as you lived.

UPDATE:
The Fargo Forum has now published the story.

A local WI TV station has told the story also.
