The really neat deal is that with this emphasis on fast tracking there will be opportunity, even equal opportunity, for the Jethroes of the world to accomplish their life's goals. If you were a fan of the Beverly Hillbillies you will know that Jethro's prime ambition was to become either a brain surgeon or a fry cook. Well, the training in the fast track will be about the same. AND, let's not forget the real "Doc" in the Bodine family, Granny, who practiced all kinds of alternative medicine.
I'm guessing that both Jethro and Granny wouldn't charge near as much as those fancy schmancy hospitals and drug companies of today. Why a couple spare pigs in trade might just do it.
We could roam the streets of Chicago, the Rural Reaches filled with good O'l Boys in a pickup truck and troll the border of Mexico to find all the candidates to replace those greedy Doctors we have now.
So, Let me present, YOUR NEW MEDICAL TEAM.....
Doctor Jethro and Granny will see you now just as soon as the doc can get away from the fry grill at his other job.

I have been watching this Obamacare politics over the last two days with horror as I see America slip into socialist medicine. America already went into socialism when Big Brother government took over the banks and told corporation what salaries they could pay their executives. That was all last year and all socialism under Obama. Here in Canada, even our government wouldn't dare do that. As of tomorrow, if Obamacare passes, you will be more socialist than us!! I never thought I would see that day come. America was so proud of her capitalist ideals, her Constitution. See how easy it is to give it all up, under the guise of 'helping everyone to be equal'. Obamacare is an abomination and so much of your population hasn't even woken up to that!! May God help you all.
As for us, yes our health care is all free. In the last decade I had 3 unexpected operations and all were free. But don't get me started on the wait times to get looked at in the emergency room. Five years ago it was 8 hours and it's still the same or worse now!! There are people bleeding in the waiting room, or groaning in pain, and the wait was still the same. There was a poor lady who thought she was miscarrying her baby and she waited the same 8 hours as I did!!
Once I was admitted into hospital, the care was good. The common talk is if you need an operation though, get it done in some smaller city or rural hospital. The wait times for operations is a few months. I waited three months for mine. The hospitals I've been in were ok but there are huge hospital horror stories in the UK papers. I never want to become sick over there!!!
Doctors here are good but the wait time to see a family doctor is months because of the doctor shortage. Our family is scared because our doctor is heading to retirement and we have to find a replacement to accept us. We are dreading that. I read that upto half your doctors might quit if Obamacare passes??!!
Quality of life here in Canada is good but the actual government health care has deteriorated. What I tell my family is don't get sick!! God help America if your health case is heading to be like ours!!
