This
kind of eloquence is lost in our day. If only we had these measured
clear voices today perhaps some of the cultural decline would stop. Our
culture has been dumbed down so much this will be unread. Most
people's attention span is so short and
the language is so sophisticated the nuance will be lost on them. This
was at a time when slavery was still in contention in the nation.
Churches did not speak out clearly against it. If he spoke today to our
churches.. what are they not speaking out against today? What
complicity are we guilty of by our silence?

I decided to take you up on the challenge and read the whole thing. Very compelling and in some ways eerily descriptive of the world we live in now.
