In the Middle Ages or thereabouts there were a number of times when heretics or other undesirables that had previously been executed for their crimes were disinterred, and then "executed" again by publicly burning, or stomping their remains to bits, etc. The purpose of this wasn't to punish an already dead person, but to exert power over the living. This is what is happening with Impeachment, Take Two. It would be wonderful from their point of view if doing so made PDJT unelectable in the future, but its real purpose is to put the rest of us in our place. It's just a flex against the modern peons.
