Enough with talk about assassination of Andrew Breitbart. He had heart trouble. It was a chronic issue. He had been drinking. Heart and alcohol can be an issue. He died, not at his own hand, not at the hand of anyone else, at the hand of DNA. He was a great voice for truth. I will miss him. In his honor I post this truth. No one killed him, he died. If there is any "Message" in all this it's this, no man knows the day nor the hour when in a second we find ourselves stepping from time into eternity. Let's be ready to take that step with confidence in our God.

I am an OLD Lutheran in Heritage. I remember well confirmation class at the hands of Pastor John Bohlman. He would be as appalled as I am at the use of words that are closet swear words. Snap. Freekin. Oh My God OMG. And a zillion others that crop up in our vernacular. I was even afraid to say HECK. DANG. I'm over some of that, but I still cringe when I hear someone use a word I know is j...ust a smokescreen for what they are really wanting to say.

On Sean Hannity’s Thursday radio show, CNBC CME Group floor reporter Rick Santelli, considered by many to be the father of the tea party movement, explained to listeners what “progressive” economics means when it comes to energy policy — high gas prices.

“Listen,” Santelli said. “I deal with economists. Progressive economists — they want $10 ...and $15 gas prices because they think they can have a windmill that will go on my ’64 Pontiac and power me downtown from the ‘burbs every day. It’s reprehensible.”

Santelli explained why energy is an important part of the vitality of the economy and a successful economy means higher energy usage.

“Our society, our culture — the greatness of America — goes hand-in-hand with energy, and our leaders need to wake up,” Santelli said. “We need energy, OK? And if they want to turn into a third-world country where there is absolutely no pollution whatsoever. And I think we need to be good to the planet, but we need to be more honest — do we want to be a superpower that uses energy and tries to do it wisely, or do we want to put our head in the sand and think that these technologies that are noble, that I have been talking about since I was in grammar school debating solar and geothermal. They’re not ready, and I think it’s just a disservice to my kids that they’re going to make energy usage such a penalty-type scenario, where we all know if you want to put GDP up, energy usage is going to go right along with it.”

Our broken culture is the most important front of our battle for souls in America. The three most important pillars of this culture are Hollywood (pop culture, music), education and the media. These three are dominated by the left in our nation. What stand will we take against those who have led us down a path of perdition? Or will we continue to complain about the results of our support of this evil.

Pastor Nate Swartzentruber (you are still Pastor Nate to many of us brother) reminded me of a conversation I had with another First Assembly alumni. Pastor Dan was the Apostle of that Church. He was in many ways my Spiritual Father. His philosophy about closing church because of snowstorms was classic. Despite the fact that we had a LOT of blizzards, First Assembly of Fargo ALMOST NEVER canceled a service. Pastor Dan's question was: "Are the Bars Open?" IF they were..we had services. I miss Pastor Dan. It's been several years since he died, yet his spirit and anointing stays with me to this day. I hope I can be of some influence for good for a new believer as he was with me. RIP my Older (not in age) Brother. I know Barry Kolb remembers this loss when it happened, and he was kind and compassionate as I was in grief over it. I was able to pick up the phone any time and call Pastor Dan for good wise counsel. I really miss that. There are few of these men. I am thankful for those who demonstrate what really matters. I have sat at Crusaders and thought how much Pastor Dan would have loved the Apostolic and Prophetic flow that is there. He was very close to Jessy Dixon. Often wanted to come plant a Church in Urban Chicago. MAN..I have hopped on the train called reminiscing. Sorry.

When I say, I am a Christian...

Poem | Carol Wimmer

When I say, “I am a Christian”
I’m not shouting, “I’ve been saved!”
I’m whispering, “I get lost!
That’s why I chose this way”

When I say, “I am a Christian”
I don’t speak with human pride
I’m confessing that I stumble -
needing God to be my guide

When I say, “I am a Christian”
I’m not trying to be strong
I’m professing that I’m weak
and pray for strength to carry on

When I say, “I am a Christian”
I’m not bragging of success
I’m admitting that I’ve failed
and cannot ever pay the debt

When I say, “I am a Christian”
I don’t think I know it all
I submit to my confusion
asking humbly to be taught

When I say, “I am a Christian”
I’m not claiming to be perfect
My flaws are far too visible
but God believes I’m worth it

When I say, “I am a Christian”
I still feel the sting of pain
I have my share of heartache
which is why I seek His name

When I say, “I am a Christian”
I do not wish to judge
I have no authority
I only know I’m loved

Glibness isn't Intelligence, It's just GLIB

I have thought this for a long time. Wondered why we choose people that are quick and pass up people who are steady.

I know many people who have significant skills and abilities who will never make it if that is the test.'

Why I don't believe Frum is a Conservative

Conservative blogger David Frum says it doesn't make much sense to write only of the "good" Andrew Breitbart in the wake of his death, the version of him in which he's a loyal friend and family man. To do so "would be to miss the story and indeed to misunderstand the man," he writes at the Daily Beast. Breitbart reinvented the culture war and made it more about personalities than issues. Along the way, he got some stories right (Anthony Weiner) and some wrong (Shirley Sherrod), but he didn't care either way. "Just as all is fair in a shooting war, so manipulation and deception are legitimate tools in a culture war," writes Frum. "Breitbart used those tools without qualm or regret, and he inspired a cohort of young conservative journalists to do likewise." All of which leads Frum to conclude that Breitbart's legacy is a "poisonous" one. He achieved success through a "giddy disdain for truth and fairness" and his politics were "inflamed by rage and devoid of ideas." He was a public figure and should be judged by his public actions, even if "the obituary cannot be pleasant reading."

Early Years of Barack Obama????

birth certificate a 'forgery'

“Based on all of the evidence presented and investigated, I cannot in good faith report to you that these documents are authentic,” SheriffArpaio said. “My investigators believe that the long-form birth certificate was manufactured electronically and that it did not originate in paper format as claimed by the White House.”

Questions over Mr. Obama’s birth certificate have been a political sideshow for the last four years, and have persisted despite repeated denials by the White House, and despite the release of evidence he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Aug. 4, 1961. That evidence included both a certificate of live birth released during the 2008 campaign and the long-form certificate last year.

Fact-check organizations have concluded the certificates are authentic, and Mr. Obama has joked about those who questioned his birth. At last year’s White House Correspondents Association Dinner, soon after releasing his long-form certificate, he mocked Donald Trump, who had said his own investigators were looking into the matter.

Now Sheriff Arpaio, who first built his national profile by creating tent cities for jail inmates and later by taking a tough stance on illegal immigration, could reignite questions among those who continue to believe Mr. Obama was born outside the U.S., and therefore is ineligible to be president under the Constitution’s provision that the officeholder be a natural-born citizen.

Demagoguery is when a portion of any population silently cheers when someone gets up and says what they are secretly feeling but are afraid to experss themselves. When someone sticks it to the man or to some ethnic group or class. We see this from the right and from the left. We saw this in Hitler. We are still seeing this. A demagogue will lead you further down toward perdition than you ever wanted to go. Be aware of them. They are all around you. Some are on Radio. Some write books. Some preach from pulpits. Some hold public office. Some are on TV. Be careful little eyes what you see, hear and read. They are everywhere. Think for yourself.

The word capitalism has become unusable. When most people hear the word capitalism, they think of the current system of collusion between business and government, collusion between business and the military and a financial system that privatizes profits and socializes losses. The technically correct name for the current system is mercantilism or fascism, but those words have long been forgotten. M...ost people now use the word capitalism to describe this kind of system. So when Christians try to defend capitalism, people read them as defending the current system, so they lose credibility. Putting the words pure, or biblical, ore free-market on the front does not help, because the meaning of the word capitalism has gone beyond the point of no return.

Conservative movements began looking for what they needed in a candidate rather than just looking at the available pool, who at the time, were clamoring to be chosen. Reagan was not a perfect President, but he seemed to be the perfect one for the times. Under his leadership, the nation not only emerged from its worst economic problems in half a century, but vision and hope for an even greater future were restored. It was this faith that ultimately unraveled the power of our greatest enemy—the Soviet Union. Nearly two decades of prosperity followed until the recipe for this was forgotten.

I have always been uncomfortable with the idea that people can spend OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY without account (Government) and then attempt to tell me how to spend mine (Obamacare).
