Dakota What a State

It was reported that in this space a discouraging word was heard. Even though that's seldom.

That report has been politically corrected as follows:

Hoven is going back to being Governor for life and Conrad, Dorgan and Pomeroy are firmly ensconced as Dakota's national representatives, all is well all is well.

Gene, since I know I'm the blogger who you believe has fallen into a trap, as you see it, I'll be blunt: your post doesn't make any sense to me.

First you start in again on ND and how the state you don't live in anymore is one step up from N.O. You insult ND a lot on your blog, and I'm not sure why. Then you jump to politburo statements, something about socialism, then to Blackhawk Down, then to media censorship - am I missing something? Because I don't get what you're trying to say.

I think you need to reread my post, where I specifically say that I don't blame anyone or expect anything other than the right to keep my own money instead of sending it to Uncle Sam via taxes.

And I'm surprised you weren't a little put off by the assumption that poor people don't deserve to have children. Did you even really read what I said?

I don't see how tax breaks are the same as being on the dole. It is simply me wishing to keep my own money. I never said anyone owed me anything, I've never gotten any money from the government and never thought I should, and I'm a little irritated that you bothered to assume. In fact, the only thing I'm owed is an apology from you.

Less taxes is not the same as being on the dole. If you're paying taxes, you're working. You should be able to keep your own money without people calling you a socialist. Plain and simple. This is why I don't bother putting comments on posts that I think will draw this out: it's a waste of my time.
