Chicago takes Pride in gay radio format

Since its fairly modest debut in Chicago last spring, Clear Channel Radio's full-time format geared to gay and lesbian listeners has become a national phenomenon. Pride Radio, which began on an HD Radio side channel of Top 40 WKSC-FM (103.5), has spread to FM stations and dozens of Web sites and other HD channels from coast to coast.
The format consists of upbeat, dance-oriented music, entertainment news, celebrity gossip from Perez Hilton, fashion tips from stylist Phillip Bloch and "Guest of the Hour" appearances by such personalities as Janice Dickerson and Joan Collins.
The breakout hit is "Pride With Ryan & Caroline," a two-hour weekly talk show about entertainment. It recently was picked up in Denver; Las Vegas; Hartford, Conn.; Tucson, Ariz., and West Palm Beach, Fla.
"There's a whole untargeted, underserved gay audience out there that radio is missing," said Darren Davis, vice president of programming and operations for Clear Channel Chicago. "This show captures it."
Clear Channel is missing it. There are whole cadre's of untargeted and underserved audiences out there.
Since the argument is about, "Homosexuals are born that way and need to be "Served", what about:
Pedophile Radio, They are born wanting to molest and have sex with little children. They can't help it. Let's have a radio station with giggling little kids for them. It'll be such a turn on.
Adulterers, wife swapping radio, Moans set to music. I can hear it now. It's as natural as walking for men to want to have random sex with other men's wives. We were born that way. We can't help it.
Bestiality Radio, Radio for people who were born longing to have sex with animals. Some people just have natural proclivity for a good looking dog or sheep. Programming sexy barks and baaas. It'll be big.
By now you are sick to your stomach. "Redlin, you are one weird sick puppy" you are saying.
How is my underserved and untargeted audience any less valid or valuable than the Gay and Lesbian radio station?
Wait, I just screwed up. Right now as we speak some suit at Clear Channel is saying, "Hey this crackpot has a great idea. Where can we line up some sexy sheep?"
Tip o the Hat to BK. I think in this case that's all I'll say. He's too nice to say what I can.

When you can't actually tell us why, outside of that one OLD testament bible verse, homosexuality is wrong, you revert to the slippery-slope argument that it will lead to deviant sexual behavior. Humanity is not that stupid. We can handle drawing lines at what is harmful and harmless, and so far, relationships between two loving adults of the same gender seem as, well, regular, as the same between two adults of opposite genders. Trust humanity to know that the things you list as the 'next step' are as unlikely as cannibalism being the next step past eating beef. And drop the slippery-slope exaggerations and fear tactics.

If God meant for same sex realtionships and /or marriages,
He would surely have given you the ability to mate, not adopt, but reproduce. Not only does this defy God's law, it defy's nature. The Bible is very clear, try REALLY reading it from beginning to end sometime! There is so much you are missing. I will pray for your eyes and heart to be open to Your Father in Heaven. I could make it real easy for you and give you all the scriptures,
but I would rather challenge you to dig in and study on your own....

The sins of the Fathers and Mothers have brought many horrible dangers into the lives of the children. That was not desired by Our Father for us. He loves you and only wants what is good for you. Friendships are good.....same sex sexual relationships are not. It is easy to twist something, but very hard to face the straight and narrow.
You should fear your Father in Heaven, if you will not walk on His path. He is the only worthy one will win and take all in the end! Why do you think he created a woman for Adam? Your thinking says so Herb and Adam or Eve and Sarah could be together??? I think you may be the one on a slippery slope.
If God had meant relationships solely for the purpose of procreating, would there be birth control, or do you think that is a sin too? If God had meant relationships solely for the purpose of procreating, shouldn't a person who is medically infertile divorce their spouse so they can find a mate who can procreate? Maybe once a couple's children have grown, perhaps they should kill themselves as they seem to be done being useful to your god. Don't think so. Find a new argument other than the if God had meant' nonsense. Your Bible was written far after the fact of the actual events it proposes to describe and has been subject to the political whims of its various authors and misinterpretors over centuries. It contains conflicting information and vile rules and laws and you chose to follow the parts you like and explain away others. It holds no more answers for me than your threats do. If your religion comforts you and guides you, good for you, but when it infringes on the rights of others and when you seek to convert me with threats, you have crossed the line from morality. If there IS a God, you will be judged for that.
God's Wrath Against Mankind - Romans 1:18-27 - it's pretty clear:

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
Using the 'good book' to justify hate again? Typical of 'Christians'. Real Christians use their religion to do good, not hate and try to convince others to hate.
after reading the comments, there are some corrections to be observed. (1) God did not create marriage, the union of one male and one female, alone for the purpose of procreation.He also said, 'it is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.' and, 'for this reason a man will leave his father and mother, and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh' (lawful sexual cohabitation). (2) two people of the same gender indeed in some way can be 'a helper' to each other. But also in what I consider (and God considers) an abominable way, to satisfy each other's sexual cravings. But it is not the way of God from the beginning. Ask a doctor and I would suppose that the doctor would say it is somewhat 'unnatural". The penis was not made for the anus, nor the anus for the penis. A homosexual, sick with AIDS, contracting it from his AIDS-afflicted male partner, asked his doctor how to be cured. He was advised to go to a third world country, and never get bottled water, but drink from polluted streams, from potholes in the roads, eat only in the greasiest-spoon restaurant he could find, and so on. The sick man asked, 'how will this cure me?' The doctor said, 'it won't cure you, but this will teach you what your anus is for'.

I do not judge you, nor hate you, that is only for God. However, God would not have us stand by while others do wrong and claim it is with his permission. I offered truth and the way, not distorted facts. The Holy Bible is validated and always has been. It is right in plain view for those who will truly thirst and seek. Nothing comes easy, work for it.
The Old Testament validates the New Testament and the New validates the Old.
If you also study the truth about the origin of the Holy Bible and how it was REALLY validated, you would know that. I do not mean the falsehoods of the DiVinci Code or the misconceptions Satan would have you beleive. It is documented. Seek the truth. I thought you at least had interest,
believed in God and were seeking truth. I suggested an opportunity to truly study the truth and facts for answers you so desperately need. The choice is yours. I made my choice long ago.

the God you refer to as my God, created the Heavens and Earth and even YOU. He gave us the ability to think, study and make choices.

What I hate most about homosexuals is the fact that they stole the word "Gay" to discribe their perverted lifestyle.It seems just plain "Queer" to me...
