The "Name of Jesus Christ" is not in question here. Not in anything I am allowed to write or say. I refuse to argue the Godhead or doctrine with anyone, anymore. We have been fighting over these issues ever since the Holy Ghost was first poured out in this Country, likely more than a hundred years ago now. I well know ...the scripture says there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. And I also know well that His Word also says that whatever you do, do it all in the name of Jesus Christ. I will quote what Jesus said to his people before He ascended into Heaven: "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things...." (John 14:26) Now you can interpret that verse any way you want but I prefer to leave it just as it is. You see, it's not the name of Jesus Christ that is in question here. What is in question is whether we manifest the fruit of Jesus Christ that we say lives inside of us and that fruit of this Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost that we say we have been baptized with. If we spent more time showing forth this fruit we say we know about, (the very thing that proves whether we are what we say we are) than arguing over our interpretation of it all, we might find out that there is more to the love of God and the fellowship of all his people than what we have experienced or have known in the past. Hardliners won't get this. But those who truly manifest the fruit of the Spirit will. A dear Lady on here said, we've all been wrong! One day, somehow, God's people will finally realize what the scriptures have been telling us all along. If we fail the Love test, our numerous and drawn-out interpretations are not worth the time it took to formulate them or the books we've printed them in. You cannot change the Word of God to suit your own self or individual group. Without unity, the church is lifeless and non-productive, much less miraculous. It's time we laid down our weapons of division, contention and isolationism. In the words so many of us understand, "United we stand, divided we Fall." And that also includes the Church of the Living God. The Comforter has come!
