He has many qualities I admire
1. He's a gifted orator when he's well rehearsed. (Not great ad libber)
2. He's a nice looking man - Some women would even say sexy
3. He dresses well
4. He has good manners and good social skills when he needs them
5. He loves his wife and she seems to love him
6. He's a great daddy to his girls
7. He's from Chicago, my adopted home town
8. He likes good music
9. He's a good singer
10. He keeps in good shape and eats a well balanced diet
Those are admirable qualities. As admirable as they are, they do not qualify him at any level for the job he signed up for nearly 4 years ago. History has shown what many of us knew early on. He is unqualified at many levels to be President of the USA. He has many good qualities that garnered him votes in 2008. Those good qualities that fooled some once will not fool all of them again.
Here's why I believe he is unqualified to be President and should not be re-elected.
He has surrounded himself with people who do not respect the law nor the constitution
He has made fiat appointments (Czars) and executive orders rather than legislate
He has a very poor understanding of business operations having never been there
He is ignorant in basic economic theory and their arguments for and against
He has a bias toward socialism and a friendliness with Communism that bothers me
He doesn't seem to grasp how much the world sees him as weak and spineless
He can't seem to get the respect of the armed services as commander in chief
He has connections to Chicago corruption that is troublesome... many
He has not been effective in allowing the economy to expand
He has a belief in government beyond it's capacity for influence. General Motors IE
He is not passionate about the USA in it's exceptionalism as a nation of destiny
He has a religion that is not really Christian, yet says the right words
He is what most people in business would call an empty suit. All hat and no cattle.
AND
His refusal to deal with illegal immigration even at a minimal level, a failure to support the defense of marriage act, his support of abortion and same sex marriage, his desire to see guns out of the hands of citizens, his hobbling of the energy sector by a refusal to grant permits, his blatant crony capitalism which enriches his friends and impoverishes the rest of us.
The list is and can be longer then that. He has never met a payroll. Has never held a real job in his life. His senatorial stature at the state and national level was limited. He voted seldom, didn't sponsor much of consequence and his most common voting status was PRESENT
Last and most troubling, he persists in asking for things he won't provide. We know little about his school days, his life as a young person, his heroes (actually we know one, FRANK, and it's terrifying that this man is a hero), his childhood. We know nothing other than the official things HE provides. Why not lay the cupboard open as he is asking Romney to do? I will create such a list for Romney as well. Not tonight, but when you hold them up beside each other, Romney isn't perfect...but he's a darn-sight better as a presidential candidate then Obama is after one term.

Reason for Poverty - Slothfulness - the attitude. a spirit
This seems like low hanging fruit. It's easy to say people are poor because they are lazy. THAT"S NOT WHAT THIS MEANS.
Even the hardest worker can be slothful. In complete disclosure, I struggle with this demon.
A slothful attitude (spirit) is always on the lookout for reasons of inaction. It's not time yet. Someone else will take care of it. It's not my job. They might be diligent at their own work assignment, but they are quick to point out why other things around them are not in their "lane". While I agree with the idea of "Stay in your Lane" it has the negative effect of implying, "It's not my job".
The slothful attitude will complain about being tired, discontent, not feeling it right now or claiming not to fully understand the situation enough to take action. The Spirit of Busyness is a sister to this spirit. "I'm so busy I can't take care of this.. Someone else will have to..."
The slothful attitude shirks responsibility and then complains (many times privately) that no one appreciates them. (I own this tee shirt)
A slothful attitude will allow a great city like Chicago to fall off the edge (as it is). THE OTHER has to take care of this. Poverty is the result. Look all around you.
IF we are to escape the spirit of sloth we must begin to uplift others, accept responsibility for more than "our Lane". We must become better informed about the situations around us, not expect someone to give us bullet points to tickle our ears.
To escape the spirit of sloth we must work harder, longer and with the highest level of excellence possible. Even if others around you make fun of your diligence, your future depends on your choice of attitude.
This translates to church. One of the reasons we don't always have the neighborhood impact we should have is we are only diligent in our "Lane". I walk by some of the storefront churches and even those in large facilities and see garbage up and down the street. Beer cans and condoms on the sidewalk in front of the "Church". Dirty windows. Filth. That means for someone to come to your church they have to walk thru hell to get there. The church I attend on Sunday mornings is in the suburbs. On nearly every Saturday I make a pass thru the parking lot and around the building. I pick up the beer cans and condoms (yes people have sex in a church parking lot) and all the other garbage laying around so that people Sunday morning won't have to walk over or around the junk. I don't publicize this, but you have to know this is not theory to me.

Country of Texas
Please note that Texas is the only state with a legal right to secede from the Union . (Reference the Texas-American Annexation Treaty of 1848.)
We Texans love y'all, but we'll probably have to take action if Barack Obama wins the election. We'll miss you too.
Here is what can happen:
1: Barack Hussein Obama is President of the United States , and Texas secedes from the
Union in summer of 2013.
2: George W. Bush will become the President of the Republic of Texas .
You might not think that he talks too pretty, but we haven't had another terrorist attack,
and the economy was fine until the effects of the Democrats lowering the qualifications for home loans came to roost.
So what does Texas have to do to survive as a Republic?
1. NASA is just south of Houston , Texas . We will control the space industry.
2. We refine over 85% of the gasoline in the United States .
3. Defense Industry--we have over 65% of it. The term "Don't mess with Texas ," will take on a whole new meaning.
4. Oil - we can supply all the oil that the Republic of Texas will need for the next 300 years.
What will the other states do? Gee, we don't know. Why not ask Obama?
5. Natural Gas - again we have all we need, and it's too bad about those Northern States. John Kerry and Al Gore will have to figure out a way to keep them warm....
6. Computer Industry - we lead the nation in producing computer chips and communications equipment -small companies like Texas Instruments, Dell Computer, EDS, Raytheon, National Semiconductor,Motorola, Intel, AMD, Atmel, Applied Materials, Ball Microconductor, Dallas Semiconductor, Nortel, Alcatel, etc, etc. The list goes on and on.
7. Medical Care - We have the research centers for cancer research, the best burn centers and the top trauma units in the world, as well as other large health centers. The Houston Medical Center alone employees over 65,000 people.
8. We have enough colleges to keep us getting smarter: University of
Texas , Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Texas Christian, Rice, SMU, University
of Dallas , University of Houston , Baylor, UNT ( University of North
Texas ), Texas Women's University, etc. Ivy grows better in the South anyway.
9. We have an intelligent and energetic work force, and it isn't restricted by a bunch of unions.
Here in Texas , it's a Right toWork State and, therefore, it's every man and woman for themselves.
We just go out and get the job done. And if we don't like the way one company operates,
we get a job somewhere else.
10. We have essential control of the paper, plastics, and insurance industries, etc.
11. In case of a foreign invasion, we have the Texas National Guard, the Texas Air National Guard,
and several military bases. We don't have an Army, but since everybody down here has at least six
rifles and a pile of ammo, we can raise an Army in 24 hours if we need one. If the situation really
gets bad, we can always call the Department of Public Safety and ask them to send over the Texas Rangers.
12. We are totally self-sufficient in beef, poultry, hogs, and several types of grain, fruit and vegetables,
and let's not forget seafood from the Gulf. Also, everybody down here knows how to cook them so
that they taste good. Don't need any food.
13. Three of the ten largest cities in the United States, and twenty- three of the 100 largest cities in
the United States , are located inTexas. And Texas also has more land than California , New York ,
New Jersey , Connecticut , Delaware , Hawaii , Massachusetts , Maryland , Rhode Island and
Vermont combined.
14. Trade: Three of the ten largest ports in the United States are located in Texas .
15. We also manufacture cars down here, but we don't need to. You see, nothing rusts in
Texas , so our vehicles stay beautiful and run well for decades.
This just names a few of the items that will keep the Republic of Texas in good shape.
There isn't a thing out there that we need and don't have.
Now to the rest of the United States under President Obama: Since you won't have the refineries
to get gas for your cars, only President Obama will be able to drive around in his big 5 mpg SUV.
The rest of the United States will have to walk or ride bikes.
You won't have any TV as the Space Center in Houston will cut off satellite communications.
You won't have any natural gas to heat your homes, but since Mr. Obama has predicted global warming,
you will not need the gas as long as you survive the 2000 years it will take to get enough
heat from Global Warming.

46 years ago today
Hot Saturday afternoon. Wind was blowing. Friends and family gathered. First Lutheran Church Fargo. Carol and John stood. She said I do, I said I do and we did. Still do.
She 18 Me 21.
There have been rocky roads, some very hard.
Yet the destination has been worth the sometimes hard journey. I wouldn't take nothing for my journey now.
She has been more wonderful than I deserve. I have not always been the man I wish I were or that she thinks I am sometimes.
Yet..here we are. Together. In love.
Anniversary Blessings to my Precious Peggy.

Cause of Poverty -- Poor Character
If you go into prison and ask the men imprisoned there what personal attributes they have that are positive (I have done this in prison ministry). Nearly all of them will have included in their self appraisals that they are HONEST, Truthful, Sincere, Good Men in a bad situation. In ten years of Prison ministry it never ceased to amaze. If they were so honest, WHY are they there??? Just this last week a guy who I worked with in prison ministry went back to prison for theft. YET...he told me many times how honest he was when I was one on one with him, working side by side.
I know people who are as cheap, stingy and miserly as anyone on earth (would make Ebenezer Scrooge blush) ...yet from those same people they will say, "I am the most giving person I know". Self delusion about our own character is astounding.
Character is being and knowing who you really are and then trying to do better. Good Character is desirable and attractive to others. In business I want to do business with people who are as good as their word. Who if they say they are going to do a thing, make a payment, deliver a good or a service, you can write it on the wall. Their word truly IS their bond. You would trust them with ten thousand dollars and expect it to be taken care of and returned intact.
Poor character leads to financial problems when people make promises with their mouth that the rest of them can't keep, trying to remember what they told who leads to low self esteem, con game strategies that cause all kinds of protective gyrations (no one is smart enough to pull this off for long). Poor character often comes from toxic relationships continued with people of bad character. That can lead to legal troubles. The list of people who were cheated, shorted or stiffed means that person has a deep hole to dig out of even if their debts are forgiven. Bad Character equals a bad reputation. Poor character damages relationships you wish would be better.
To attract prosperity, we need to do better in our character. The ones who hold the key to our breakout of poverty and breakthru to prosperity are attracted to dependability, integrity, honesty. This means if you make an appointment to see someone, show up ON TIME. IF you say you are going to begin a project or a meeting at a certain time and complete it at a certain time they can mark it down. It is NOT a cultural thing that everything and everyone starts and ends late. That showing up on time is not our culture. It's just poor character. Even in Church life, the most prosperous and successful ministries do exactly what they said, start and end exactly on time. Yes, we need time for the Holy Spirit to move, but mostly it's the guy with the mike who can't stay silent for HIM to do his work.
You will see that I am staying clear of the spiritual causes of poverty ... for now. They are easy. Most people can stand up and holler when they come up. They have been over taught WRONGLY for too long. When I have exhausted the mental attitudes and negative behaviors that manifest themselves in poverty... I will address the poverty from Spiritual causes. Too many itching ear preachers talk about all the spiritual components because they are afraid to confront their members on the behavior and attitudes that keep them locked in lack. As a result they have a congregation of a thousand who give like they were a hundred. I'm hoping that by coming against the attitudes and behaviors first that we will admit to ourselves why we are where we are. I am tired of poor saints staying poor. It's high time we come up higher...much higher. But we have to start with the Strongholds of poverty in the Mind and the Behaviors that they manifest that keep them there. I know too many saints who have read all the books on prosperity printed by the prosperity teachers, can rehearse the principles, but still languish in lack. Time to bring to the fore those things that keep us there. The Kingdom of God NEEDS you to Prosper. I know I will offend some, but as the old saying goes, that which offends the mind, reveals the heart. Some minds need to be offended so hearts are revealed.
Build better character and get out of that hole you are in. It starts with YOU. Your character determines the kind of life you will lead. The life you lead may indicate your character. If you are always on the make...you will not make it.

Taking Down the Second Amendment: The Connection between Fast and Furious and the Trayvon Martin Case

On February 26, 2012, a neighborhood watch captain was attacked by a thug. Trayvon Martin had already been expelled three times in the school year. In one case, twelve pieces of women's jewelry were found in his backpack. His Twitter, MySpace, and YouTube accounts reveal him as a gangsta wannabe, into drugs (and possibly dealing) and screwing "bitches." On the night February 26, "No-Limit Niggah" bought some Skittles and an Arizona Watermelon Fruit Juice Cocktail. Mixed with codeine, they're the ingredients for a cocktail called "Lean" that he seems to have been fond of.

Cause of Poverty... An unbalanced view of Money - NOT CARING ABOUT MONEY
At this end of the poverty spectrum are people who piously say, "I don't care about money." That is almost guaranteed to come from someone who is poor. There can be a calling to truly eschew money (see Mother Theresa) yet she had all she ever needed. IF a person doesn't care about something (like money) he will be careless with it. God seems to care about wealth and money, there is more information on money and our proper attitude towards it in the Bible then there is on prayer. Yet, the church spends a lot of time teaching, preaching and engaging in all kinds of prayer. There is even a prayer moment. Perhaps we need to see what HE says about money, it's proper place and what that all means. A Biblical Money Movement. That's probably not going to get much traction.
Telling God you are disinterested in something He seems to care so much about is prideful and foolish. While obsession with money is destructive, neglect of knowing it's nature and influence will be equally destructive.
If disinterest in money is based on Pride, Ignorance or immaturity it yields the same result: it will repel money from your life. If you tell someone "I don't care about you" will he or she stick around?? In fact will he or she even COME to you?
Money like friendship requires time and attention. It takes more time and attention to work hard to not care about money then it does to pay it the proper amount of attention to it. Poverty takes more energy than success.
The other end of the spectrum is caring too much about money. I'll have more on that MONDAY. That is more easily taught and understood. You can probably teach this unbalanced view better than I can. This is a much harder teaching.

The true test of faith is not your boisterous positive confessions but how you stand when the hard winds of adversity blow. Your best testimony comes out of your darkest test. Some bad things that happen to you are not for public information. Man up.
Life Cycles out of order
Working in ministry in the City of Chicago I have come across a core cause of poverty. Lives out of order. In contacting people I find that many have a hard time getting out of bed before noon and seldom asleep before 2 or three in the morning. They may not be partying. They might just be up watching TV (they would say praying). The truth is Ben Franklin's advise is still true, "early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy wealthy and wise. Before electricity, people rose when the sun came up and went to bed when it went down. Now people are awake all hours of the day or night. Lives are out of order. Showing up at 2 pm means the early birds have eaten all the worms. Make a decision to wake up at the same time (before 7am is a good start) and go to bed every day at the same time, 11PM would be a good bet. Think of the Convenience store. 7-11. There's a reason. My wife has a saying, "Nothing GOOD happens after Midnight". I know this is true for me. All the bad behavior I ever have been trapped in was after hours.
Allowing every form of garbage into your soul and spirit
I am stunned by Christians and even pastors who go to every hellish movie on the big screen, watch any kind of TV (I actually had one say to me, "You can learn a lot from those housewives shows" SMH). I won't even mention porn. Never mind that the best selling porn book is 50 shades of something (for women). Do you think it's even possible ONE christian lady bought this book? I do. AND VIDEO games. It's amazing that Christians play for hours with these video games with demonic themes. They somehow think that they can get away with it by offsetting it with some church going. A little poison in the water is what it is. I won't even mention Sports and some of the excesses in that area. I wonder what the GNP of the christian community would be if we had back all the hours invested in sports voyeurism and reinvested it in enterprise. Then there is music that comes from hell. Enough said about that. I had a christian pastor say to me when he was justifying spending a hundred fifty dollars a month in cable and pay TV for entertainment and he couldn't pay his rent. HE said to me, I gotta have my entertainment. He is still poor. Marriage ended. Now in his late 50s. His behavior was his downfall.

It's amazing that the very people who are in the deepest poverty cannot take the time to take care of the little bit they have. They are poor stewards of their possessions. So clothes break down. HELP, I'm stuck and I can't get out
I have so many friends I know who are stuck in poverty. They are just making it or not making it at all. Many come to me for ministry and advice and I really hate to tell them what really is going on. So, I am using this forum to help them understand what the causes of poverty really are. If you want to get out from under the curse..you will want to go back and review the first two. There will be several yet to come. God never wanted you to be poor, in lack or needful. You were destined to be the head and not the tail, a lender and not a borrower, one who pays wages to others not looking to others for a paycheck. The answer is not a job, a scheme, a system a secret. The answer is to get your heart right.
A cause of Poverty - Resenting the Rich
It is easy to resent those who are more successful, wealthier or happier than you are. BUT... the best way out of poverty is for there to be many many more rich people. God wants YOU to be one of them. Not so you can have a bigger TV or faster car, but because Rich People create jobs in our economy. Who has the capital to start a new business? Who other than rich people can hire others? When the rich are overtaxed, over-regulated, suffer from inflation or find that there are costs of living and operating that pinch the, they hire fewer people. They can't buy new cars, can't build new houses, landscape their yard or hire inside help. When the rich become poorer, we all do.
When we resent the rich it creates a mindset that REPELS money. It creates a spirit of greed, resentment, jealousy, mistrust and entitlement. None of that spirit has the capacity to attract wealth or connect you with wealthy people. The fact is very wealthy people want to mentor someone. They want to pass on what they know. They need someone to carry on their legacy. Do you think they will waste time on someone who resents them. When I was a young man, I studied wealthy people. Real people. Got to know some of them personally. They were surprised and honored that I sought them out without an agenda. Many I stay in contact with still.
The best gift you can give your children is to teach them to emulate the very wealthy. I have known a few scoundrels, but many fewer than you would think. A few of my wealthy friends are Facebook Friends. They know who they are. I won't embarrass them. I will say, they are noble giving caring people who have a desire to make the world a better place. They do it by building business. That is the stewardship they were assigned. Admire them, don't resent them. It will attract them to you and you to them.

Another Reason for Poverty Taking instead of Giving
Nobody owes you anything just because you breath and exist. No one else can make you rich. Believing you are entitled to anything will get you nowhere in the meritocracy of the real world. Instead of living life with an expectation to receive from others, discover the joy of giving without the expectation of any return. The rewards you receive will be much more valuable than anything you gave away. Your income leading out of poverty is not determined by what you THINK you deserve, but by the value you bring to others. Every person has an innate value as a human being. The difference is some people deliver more economic value to the marketplace. Focus on the needs of others. How can you help them earn more money, make their life easier, healthier. What problems are they facing that you can help them find the solution to. If you can just help enough other people get what they want, you will get all you need and more. Stop being a taker and begin a life of giving. Try giving yourself away...and watch what happens.

Love Being Poor
I posted earlier that the reason people stay in their sin is because they in fact LOVE their sin. They enjoy it. They don't want to be without it. So...they sin. I am coming to the conclusion that the same is true of poverty. They complain about it but they enjoy being safe and pitied. There's no challenge in being poor. You just stumble from crisis to crisis in your life and keep hoping to win the lottery. We sin or are in poverty for the same reasons. We choose it. I don't want to anger you, but God has tasked me with shining the light of truth on the spirit of poverty. If you heed it, perhaps you can break free. IF not you will remain in the hole you dug with your mouth. No one put your there, you chose it.
Cause of Poverty - Believing that a Job will make you Rich
Having a job is good. Someone has to be an employee. We can't all be bosses. If you are happy with your job, get up, take a shower and go. Thank God for your employer and bless him or her for being there for you. Just be aware of this, it's not a pathway to riches. It isn't slavery, it's just you have decided to serve others in a job. Don't complain about it. It's just not going to make you rich.
When you work for someone in a job you are at their mercy, at their beck and call. A business owner knows he must stay on the cutting edge to survive. He will be called on to make changes when the market demands. The owner of a business works extra hard because his livelihood is on the line. Sometimes that may mean you become superfluous and you are fired. That's the way it works.
If you are working for a company or a large corporation it becomes easy to begin to depend on them for a steady paycheck and your retirement plan. You have turned over your future prosperity to another's whims. Once you take this step you come closer to poverty. Golden shackles with golden handcuffs. Bondslavery.
Wealth can only come from how you invest your spare time. Escaping from poverty or a bad job situation will come as you use your free time wisely. Many more people should own their own business rather than work for someone else. Find ways to use the time you have for productive ends. It is the pathway OUT of poverty. A lady died this last September, and MBNA bank billed her in October and November for their annual service charges on her credit card, and then in December added late fees and interest on the monthly charge.
The balance that had been £10.00, now is somewhere around - £60.00.
A family member rang MBNA:
Family Member: 'I am calling to tell you that my grandmother died in September.'
MBNA: 'But the account was never closed and so the late fees and charges still apply.'
Family Member: 'Maybe, you should turn it over to your collections section.'
MBNA: ‘Since it is two months over due, it already has been.'
Family Member: ‘So, what will they do when they find out she is dead?'
MBNA: 'Either report her account to the Frauds Department or report her to The Credit bureau, maybe both!'
Family Member: 'Do you think God will be upset with her?'
MBNA: 'Excuse me?'
Family Member: 'Did you just get what I was telling you . . The part about her being dead?'
MBNA: 'Sir, you'll have to speak to my supervisor.'
Supervisor gets on the phone:
Family Member: 'I'm phoning to tell you, she died in September.'
MBNA: 'But the account was never closed and the late fees and charges still apply.'

How to have a congregation that prospers - overcoming the number ONE reason people are in Poverty
People are and remain poor because of ignorance about money and finances. They treat economics and the financial world as a language they can't learn. They pay no attention to the marketplace, political influence on economic policy, money supply, interest rates, trends and reversals. There is a vocabulary that will bring you higher or keep you down if you don't have it. I am astounded by the profound lack of understanding by many church leaders in the area of finance. You cannot impart what you do not possess. IF you would have a congregation of increasingly prosperous people, you must speak the language of prosperity.
In Illinois, nearly every constitutional office is filled with a democrat. Madiganistan. We are down the toilet. In Indiana, every constitutional office is filled by a Republican. Here's the result.
Last week in Indiana, the Daniels administration announced that the state's budget reserves had topped $2 billion, enough to trigger $100 rebates for individual tax filers and $200 for couples who file jointly. In total, the state will give back about $300 million to taxpayers, and although the individual sums are by no means large, the refunds are enough to provide hard-pressed families with a bit more cushion for a week or two.
In Illinois, meanwhile, the fiscal picture is far less cheery.
Last year, Illinois lawmakers scrambled to close a budget shortfall estimated at $11 billion. Despite substantial tax increases and deep cuts in services, the state ended the 2012 fiscal year, which closed June 30, with a shortfall of more than $8 billion. In fact, Illinois' auditor general recently released a report describing the state's deficit as the nation's worst based on the percentage of revenue.
Yet people still vote for Democrats in Illinois. Why? SMH

Seth's Blog: The false choice of mediocrity
Too often, we're presented with choices that don't please us. We can pick one lousy alternative or the other. And too often, we pick one.
I was struck by Apple's choice to put a glass screen on the original iPhone. Just six weeks before it was announced, Steve Jobs decided he wanted a scratchproof glass screen. The thing is, this wasn't an option. It wasn't possible, reliable, feasible or appropriately priced. It couldn't be done with certainty, and almost any other organization would have taken it off the list of appropriate choices.
It was unreasonable.
And that's the key. Remarkable work is always not on the list, because if it was, it would be commonplace, not remarkable.

I was stupid with my money, giving lots of it to people who didn't know how to handle it. I even did it to my own family and have two members in my extended family who are now poor because of my so called generosity. It was all a power trip on my part. What Went on in Church Today?
Growing up if one of us stayed home from church, this question was often asked. The answer usually revolved around the preacher's message. How sad it really was.
I reflected on that today. How far we have fallen in what we believe SHOULD go on in Church. Most of western church is made up of a few songs, announcements, offering, a sermon and a sacramental exercise or two. Prayer is prayed from a prepared script and a well rehearsed prayer Jesus taught. If God saw you write it out, does it impress Him more if you read it too?
What went on in Church today? If it fits the western church pattern, NOTHING would be the correct answer. And we wonder why we are drying up and dying. Why we are losing the battle for men's souls in the western world. This is not the case in the third world.
If we examine scripture carefully we can see clearly what SHOULD be going on in church. It looks very little like the expression we see executed in 75 minutes in 90% of western (mostly white) churches.
Let's go over a check list and see if what you experienced today measures up at any level with the Biblical Standard?
1. Did people bring hymns, songs and spiritual songs to the service that were shared openly or were you cheer-led by a "worship" leader performance set? "Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord," Ephesians 5:19
2. Was the song of the Lord released? Psalm 40:3 Did the congregation enter in? Did every person pour out their heart in worship independently and in unison? That is the Biblical Order
3. Were demons cast out? Was it even noticed that they were there. Mark 16:17
4. Was the word of Prophecy brought forth? More important were at least 2 or 3? That's the Biblical standard. 1 Corinthians 14:29
5. Would sinners and seekers have been confronted by the Prophetic and say in amazement, "Surely God is among you" 1 Corinthians 14:24-25
6. Did the presence of God become so tangible sometime during the service that you wondered if there had been an earthquake. Acts 4:31
7. Was there supernatural revelation during the service that caused serious reflection, repentance and re-commitment? 1 Corinthians 14:26
8. Was there active ministry to the body in the service? ... Healing by the laying on of hands, a word of wisdom, a word of knowledge, bold encouragement for greater faith, believing for supernatural miracles, a message in tongues with interpretation or prophecy, a spirit discerned and dealt with. 1 Corinthians 12In fact was there ANY ministry of any kind of all or were those with needs sacrificed on the altar of preaching and teaching.
9. Was the Kingdom of God enhanced, built up, imparted or did people leave pretty much as they came in. Instructed but not better warriors.
10. Were the good works of the church emphasized over the fidelity of believers in unity and love? 1 Corinthians 13
11. During the preaching of the word, was it possible for someone with a greater revelation to come forward and take the platform? Does the Senior Leader have that much trust in God to allow HIS gifts to flow freely or is total control by the senior leader the order of the day? Add 3 points if it actually happened. 1 Corinthians 14:30
12. Are testimonies encouraged, given, freely, spontaneously by anyone? How long since spontaneous testimonies were encouraged. Not some rehearsed safe parroting of an approved testimony. Revelation 12:14
13. IF a man from Mars came to the church service you attended or conducted today, would he find it any different from a political rally, a Kiwanis club meeting or a pep rally for your local sports team. OR would he have to admit...there is something different here. Acts 2:15-17
14. If there was a formal sermon, deduct 3 points. There is no Biblical evidence that a formal sermon was regular part of first century church meetings. In fact, the whole idea of one man or woman in a pre-eminent position is out of order as it is subject to fleshly ambition. 3 John 1:9-10 This is the nature of most western Churches today.
15. Was there any evidence that the Power of God was being poured out, imparted, released or encountered during the meeting time? Jesus told the Pharisees in Matthew 22:29 and in Mark 12:24,
I am not by this condemning church by any means. I love the church. It is just so badly messed up and off track that as a prophet I must speak out against it's decline to help reverse the curse that has become the western Sunday Church fiasco.
IF we are going to release the Kingdom, it's going to have to be other than what we are doing now. We are losing the battle Jesus told us to fight Matthew 28:18-20 and I have it on good authority, HE ISN'T PLEASED. See Revelation 2 and 3. We can do better, we can do as we were Commanded. This isn't just my opinion.
Now that you know the truth, what are you going to do with it? Or will you stay in that safe rut hoping .... IF the latter, you are one of those Jesus came to set free: Acts 10:38

And it’s hard to see them shifting gears to something constructive like making a summer deal to extend the Bush tax cuts for a year, or heaven forbid backing off the 20-some-odd tax hikes embodied in Obamacare.

Things I learned growing up in the country
Most people who have never lived in the country don't know the rules of the road. There are things that the native Americans knew and tried to offer the white man. Here are a few.
Insect bites are a blessing for the most part. Bee and wasp stings helps your joints stay fluid into old age. IF they don't kill you..they make you stronger. Bee Keepers seldom suffer arthritis.
As long as water is fresh, it's probably safe to drink. That means lakes, streams, rain and wells. You won't die if you can find fresh water. People around the world live very well without bottled water. Bottled water isn't that good for you.
Dirt can be clean and dirty. It is natural to ingest a bit every day and sometimes to add some to your food for bulk inadvertently. Eating clean dirt in moderation is good for you. Every culture eats dirt as part of it's diet..except western cultures.
There are millions of microbes in and out of your body. They live in tension with each other. The ones that come in thru your hands, nostrils, eyes mouth and other orifices are designed too strengthen your immune system. Those who never are exposed to these natural dusts many times develop asthma and allergies that Indians never experienced. Purel is not your friend unless you are a doctor or nurse. Otherwise, a good soap wash is enough from time to time.
I like to be clean and take a shower at least once a day. Good hygiene is important. BUT. Be aware that there are bodily oils that are essential. A good sweat releases them. Don't overdo it.
Try drinking your coffee or tea before you brush your teeth. You want those germs in your mouth to move to your gut. Be careful about taking antibiotics except if you really need them. You need a full gut flora in your intestines. Eat rotten things. Sauerkraut or Kimchi. You don't need to take supplements. A little moldy bread is a good thing. There is much to be learned from the benefits of a good gut flora. The Indians didn't need this information. They ate things like dried Peppican. I have eaten it. It can get a little ripe. That's a good thing.
Shoes are not your buddies. I like good shoes and wear them. YET in many cultures shoes are not worn. When I was young I never wore shoes as a kid. My feet were hard as rocks on the bottom. People in countries who don't wear shoes never have fallen feet, plantar faciaitis or ingrown toenails. Where soil born parasites exist as in Africa in places...wisdom is.... The moccasin was a great way to go. Think of the Kenyan barefoot runners. I still even at my age try to go outside barefoot as much as possible.
Sunshine is good for you. I have to watch not to get too much. YET, overdoing sunscreen and then trying to supplement the loss of sun on your skin with vitamin d is nuts. People in countries where they are in the sun all day long bare skinned seldom get cancer. We have had too many people brainwash too many of us into doing the opposite of what we should. Don't overdo...but get some sun.
Learn to eat from bushes and trees what is available. Some things are not good for you, but with a little study most is. Birds eat them, you probably can too. Yet, do some research. In the wild survival requires that you try a little bit of an unknown plant or fruit. Wait 24 hours. If there is no adverse reaction, you are probably OK to eat it.
The sting of nettles and other skin irritating plants (even including poison ivy) is it's own reward. Once you have suffered initial impact, next time it will be less and then less and then none. I intentionally rub nettles on my skin when I find them. It's like an inoculation. I can walk bare legged in poison ivy and not suffer. How do you think the Indians did it long ago?? Were they nimbly avoiding certain plants as they ran thru the brush? I don't think so.
The perfect mosquito repellent is lots of mosquito bites. Every year I intentionally try to be bit up pretty good. Soon I NEVER swell up from a bite. I was bit yesterday by a wasp and barely noticed. I often thought of how it must have been on the prairie when the native Americans were among HUGE swarms of insects. Some surely from the smell of smoke on their skin as a natural repellent... but some was the natural repellent that came from being bitten.
We live far below our potential because we live in fear of nature. IF we knew how to cooperate with nature instead of trying to avoid...we would do much better.
Don't go all in, but stop the fear. Take it a step at a time. Soon you will discover that you are living better. Not everything the doctor says is true. They can be badly taught too.
One last thing. I AM concerned about vaccinations at the level we are doing it now. I don't think it is good. Be very careful.

Where the Next Fortunes will be made

Three years after the recession was declared officially over, unemployment remains high and there's worry that a new recession is down the road. And yet waiting in the wings for when we get our economic policies in order are a mounting number of stunning discoveries, inventions and technological breakthroughs that could set off a burst of growth and wealth creation as big as any in living memory.
The fracking technology that is making available vast new sources of recoverable oil and natural gas in North America is one such breakthrough. But all across the commercial and industrial landscape, there are exciting developments:
• Nanoculture: One of the truths of tech is that revolutions take longer than predicted, but they arrive sooner than we are prepared for them. That is the case with nanotechnology, the hot new science story of a decade ago.
Though it has largely disappeared from the front pages, nanotech is only now coming into its own. Breakthrough medicines; genetic research; new materials such as graphene (a lattice-sheet form of carbon used for everything from filters to computer chips); molecular electronics (extreme miniaturization, thus super-small sensors and other devices); and quantum computing (small, superfast supercomputers) have all been announced in recent months. Indeed, the range of emerging applications for nano materials is so wide-ranging and important that, together, they suggest an impending turning point in high tech as important as silicon and integrated circuitry were half a century ago.
• Cloud Crowd: In the world of information technology, the big story these days is the shift of data management from largely in-house computing centers to rented, easily scalable computing and storage from anonymous servers located somewhere out in the Internet. Much of this shift, driven by leading providers such as Amazon, is already well under way, rapidly driving down costs and making information management much more affordable both for industry and, increasingly, consumers.
This in turn has kicked off a true revolution in what is being called "big data." Big data is the application of all of this new computing power to reach beyond the individual application of mass information to the mass application of individual data—for instance, by tracking a billion sensors in real time to monitor weather across a continent. It could mean capturing every step in the path of every shopper in a store over the course of a year, or monitoring every vital sign of a patient every second for the course of his illness.
Big data offers measuring precision in science, business, medicine and almost every other sector never before possible. It could ultimately have an impact as great as mass production did more than a century ago—creating a new world of mass personalization of products and services. The big-data revolution is already happening, with hundreds of applications already in use, for instance, tracking millions of chickens from farms in Thailand to family tables around the world, or monitoring the location in real time of every emergency vehicle in a major city like Chicago. Over the next few years, it will spread across every industry and scientific discipline.
• Printing Dreams: Three-dimensional printing is a manufacturing technology that creates specific objects from buildings to machine components, and even human organs, either by laying down layers of material or carving away from a block of existing material. It's been around for several years but will soon influence everyday life.
Using new materials such as molten polymers and metal powders, highly focused lasers and, increasingly, nanotech, 3-D printing is an incredibly powerful design and modeling tool. Because it offers the potential for the same economies at any volume, this technology, especially when it gets bolted to big data and nanotech, rewrites the very notion of economies of scale. It could transform manufacturing, eliminating the current cost advantage enjoyed by developing countries and bringing jobs back to the U.S.
You can already find hundreds of consumer products, from furniture to jewelry, created with 3-D printing. Less obvious are the thousands of gears, motors and other industrial components that are now custom-fabricated this way. Says computer scientist Christopher Barnatt, "[Imagine] a future in which the everyday 'atomization' of virtual objects into hard reality has turned the mass preproduction and stockholding of a wide range of goods and spare parts into no more than an historical legacy." Then, imagine that future with the 3-D printer in your home.
• Handheld Diplomas: The discrepancy between the cost of university tuition and the return on that investment for most students grows every year. As students, increasingly priced out of traditional education, begin to abandon the college path, colleges and universities will have no choice but to pursue them—with ever-greater numbers of virtual courses (and eventually degrees)—on laptops, smartphones and tablets. This shift is already beginning to transform higher education and bring in a host of new competitors. Its potential to raise educational achievements in K-12—where rising costs and diminishing results are even more out of control—could be even more revolutionary. And apart from formal schooling, why can't the Internet be harnessed to embed education into the daily life of people at any age, and wherever in the world they live?
• Self-Health: While Washington, the national media and the general public focus on draconian responses to the rising costs of health care, for-profit businesses are busy inventing small, affordable solutions. For example, there are now more than 12,000 new health-care apps available from independent developers for the iPhone and iPad. Examples includes the iTriage, which lets users check their own symptoms and find a nearby health provider, and iBGStar, a blood tester for diabetics that connects to the iPhone and lets users sync and manage information from test readings.
Meanwhile, the first of scores of new home diagnostic and monitoring devices—small, affordable, and increasingly connected to health professionals via the Web—are now appearing on the scene. They promise greater drug regimen adherence (the current failure of which is a huge social cost); early identification of everything from a drug reaction to a heart attack; better maintenance of chronic diseases such as diabetes and hepatitis; and virtual doctor visits that make use of home monitoring devices and communications tools such as Skype.
It's all on the way. Together, these trends offer the potential for a golden era. Getting there won't be easy, as we are currently governed by leaders who want to manage our complex and dynamic economy from the top down, to tame entrepreneurs with regulation, to tax the productive and, ultimately, to pick the next generation of winners. That's never worked well and isn't working today. But a better world awaits us if we elect leaders who can imagine a better future and fight to unleash the animal spirits of the market that will get us there.

Electrical power is the central nervous system of our modern economy and our 21st-century lifestyles, and living without it for a few days reminds us how vulnerable we are to being sent back to a pre-Industrial Age. Yet every initiative by green groups is focused on reducing our access to electrical power—although they never admit that explicitly.
This power outage was caused by a severe thunderstorm from Mother Nature, but I'm convinced that rolling brown outs are coming, thanks to the radical environmental movement that has taken hold of our body politic. Green groups, for example, have declared war on coal, which still produces about 40% of our electricity. The Obama administration is listening and slamming the brakes on coal production. This cheap and domestically abundant energy source is getting cleaner all the time, thanks to technological progress. But that doesn't stop a global-warming alarmists like James Hansen, a lead scientist at NASA, from likening trains carrying coal to the German "death trains" that transported the Jews to Nazi concentration camps.

BUT...those days are gone. We have all grown older. Life isn't that easy any more.

Bad Results from Good Intentions - It's time to Declare Independance
When I was growing up there was a great divide between black and white people. I didn't really know any until I was a young lad. I liked the ones I met. I liked the ones I went to college with. Spent much of my time with them. Lived with them for a while.
It may explain why in spite of the long time since then, I have an affinity for the culture. The problem is I have a very good memory. I recall what things were like then, not thru rose colored glasses, but because I lived it. I have seen the before and the after. The days before MLK's Speech. The days before Birmingham. The days before the Great Society and Johnson's war on poverty. I remember Brown v Board of Education. I remember the landmark civil rights law. All with good intentions but with unintended consequence. The destruction of a whole culture.
Black Folk had made quite a bit of economic and social progress in the 1950s, despite Jim Crow and segregation. It was culminated by the Civil Rights legislation. Black owned businesses, and two parent families were the norm in most communities. The 1960s welfare programs increased the numbers of BOTH white and black family breakups since the money was distributed to women with children. Men were essentially cut out as breadwinners and/or heads of households. In effect, welfare programs-designed with the intention of helping-have had an equal or greater effect on blacks as institutionalized slavery in breaking up families. Some might even say that blacks exchanged one form of slavery for another. All implemented by politicians who meant well, but who were not farsighted enough to see past what they were doing. Politicians who are still kept in place by the very people most damaged by their efforts.
In New York City in 1925, 85 percent of black households were two-parent households. In 1880 in Philadelphia, three-quarters of black families were composed of two parents and children. Nationally, in the late 1800s, percentages of two-parent families were 75.2 percent for blacks, 82.2 percent for Irish-Americans, 84.5 percent for German-Americans and 73.1 percent for native whites. Today just over 30 percent of black children enjoy two-parent families. Both during slavery and as late as 1920, a black teenage girl's raising a child without a man present was rare.
We have seen the destruction of a culture I value by political forces that are still influencing those they prey upon.

The High Price of Telling the Truth About Islam
A strange thing happened to me the other day when I was driving past the Federal Building in Los Angeles. There were a crowd of people assembled there with signs which said that Israel is an aggressive force in the Middle East and that Iran is being picked on. As I stopped at a red light I heard a man with a mega phone lead the protesters in a chant charging Obama with genocide. I saw many young people and several Muslim women with their heads covered. It was an anti-war demonstration that probably a year ago I would have supported. But although I am not in favor of military action, I know that Iran is not another Iraq, and that in fact there is more going on here than the overly-simplified picture that the protestors were painting, as cars drove by honking in support. As the light turned green another sign caught my eye – a picture of the Twin Towers burning which read “911 Was an Inside Job”. As I looked at a sea of Palestinian flags and college kids banging on drums I felt a certain frustration – frustration based on a series of events that have changed my world view.

To Kill an American

You probably missed this in the rush of news, but there was actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper, an offer of a reward to anyone who killed an American, any American.
So an Australian dentist wrote an editorial the following day to let everyone know what an American is. So they would know when they found one. (Good one, mate!!!!)
'An American is English, or French, or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian or Greek. An American may also be Canadian, Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Australian, Iranian, Asian, Arab, Pakistani or Afghan.
An American may also be a Comanche, Cherokee, Osage, Blackfoot, Navaho, Apache, Seminole or one of the many other tribes known as native Americans..
An American is Christian, or he could be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than inAfghanistan . The only difference is that in America they are free to worship as each of them chooses.
An American is also free to believe in no religion.. For that he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God.
An American lives in the most prosperous
land in the history of the world..
The root of that prosperity can be found in the Declaration of Independence , which recognizes the God given right of each person to the pursuit of happiness.
An American is generous.. Americans have helped out just about every other nation in the world in their time of need, never asking a thing in return.
When Afghanistan was over-run by the Soviet army 20 years ago, Americans came with arms and supplies to enable the people to win back their country!
As of the morning of September 11, Americans had given more than any other nation to the poor in Afghanistan .
The national symbol of America , The Statue of Liberty , welcomes your tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed. These in fact are the people who built America
Some of them were working in the Twin Towers the morning of September 11, 2001, earning a better life for their families. It's been told that the World Trade Center victims were from at least 30 different countries, cultures, and first languages, including those that aided and abetted the terrorists.
So you can try to kill an American if you must. Hitler did. So did General Tojo, and Stalin, and Mao Tse-Tung, and other blood-thirsty tyrants in the world.. But, in doing so, you would just be killing yourself. Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an American.
