remove the statue of Oxford Benefactor Cecil Rhodes.
Not sure who wrote this. Best line to the students: "Understand us and understand this clearly: you have everything to learn from us; we have nothing to learn from you."

when 15 states established America's first minimum wages. Labor
reformers then believed that a legal minimum would hand a raise to
deserving white Anglo-Saxon men, and a pink slip to their undeserving

I want to expose something that I do not want to raise a firestorm of comments and reactions....I am at odds with what "elite liberalism" is doing to our colleges and universities. Besides being pro-Moslem, there is a stunning "teaching" that it is impossible for minorities to be racist since they have been the victims of the oppressive white race, and that hatred, violence, etc against whites is not racism, but a natural and valid response to the racism and racists acts of white people.
I am absolutely heartbroken over the history of how people of color have been treated in this country in the past. I did not do it, nor do any white people I know living. I discovered that my original ancestor here, an Irishman, refused to own slaves, probably due to his personal exposure to the Irish slaves England trafficked.
I also am appalled beyond my ability to express it in words at the unfathomable hatred that young white and black people seem to ENJOY.
If this is all the Civil Rights Movement has come to after all this time, then Satan has had his way.
Marxism often rides on the back of valid social concerns and is thinly veiled behind "social action" and "community planning" . One needs to ask questions about the "communication" and money that has been passed through chains of command of organizations, groups, and gangs affilated with the Nation of Islam and George Soros.
The word on the streets, in the prisons, even in the public schools, and in many other arenas one would think would be respectable, that white men and boys, and old white people are to be targeted.
To quote the president, in the last election "Vote for vengeance!"
I presume then in the social and demonic thought of influential people there is an ancient blood debt of blacks against whites which can be "legally" exacted, or without full prosecution.
I do not for a moment believe that this is the majority of the Black Americans I know. My life has been enormously enriched by Black people from my earliest days. They have been my surrogate parents, caretakers, protectors, and friends. I rejected my own family whose racist words and actions were disgusting to me.
I am asking white and black Christians to pray and to walk and ride the streets of your towns and cities and ask God to prevent racial bloodshed.
I am asking white and black Christians to be Christians and Americans.
I am weary of what I see and feel in my spirit man.
For the record I am a Christian whose vote is determined by whoever will spare the lives of the unborn and will work to preserve the family.
That does not make me a "racist" or a "cracker".

and it was an excellent metaphor for what would happen to America over

wakes up 500 years in the future only to discover that he is the most
intelligent person by far in the “dumbed down” society that he suddenly
finds himself in. Sadly, I truly believe that if people of average
intellect from the 1950s and 1960s were transported to 2016, they would
likely be considered mental giants compared to the rest of us. We have a
country where criminals are being paid $1000 a month not to shoot people, and the highest paid public employee in more than half the states is a football coach. Hardly anyone takes time to read a book anymore, and yet the average American spends 302 minutes a day watching television. 75 percent
of our young adults cannot find Israel on a map of the Middle East, but
they sure know how to find smut on the Internet. It may be hard to
believe, but there are more than 4 million adult websites on the Internet today, and they get more traffic than Netflix, Amazon and Twitter combined.What in the world has happened to us? How is it possible that we have become so stupid? Social Justice is Failing
Have
you noticed how all the social justice warriors are losing every war,
they win a battle now and then, but the war is lost. This last few
months has spelled doom for social justice movements. Oh, they'll be

Americans are getting more suburban, less urban, and less rural. The
share of households in urban neighborhoods declined in the 1990s, 2000s,
and 2010s to date. This is true whether we group all urban
neighborhoods together (that is, all categories with density of 2,213 or
more), or look just at the highest-density urban neighborhoods: the
share of households in Census tracts with at least 10,000 households per
square mile has declined, slightly but consistently, from 4.0% in 1990
to 3.9% in 2000, 3.8% in 2010, and 3.7% in 2014. Rural neighborhoods
have also had a declining share of population, too. But suburban
neighborhoods have all gained population share over the entire time
period, with the exception of the higher-density suburban neighborhoods
(1,500-2,212 households per square mile) in the most recent years

Backlash against a plan to remove
prominent Confederate monuments in New Orleans has been tinged by death
threats, intimidation and even what may have been the torching of a
contractor's Lamborghini.

now, at least, things have gotten so nasty the city hasn't found a
contractor willing to bear the risk of tearing down the monuments. The
city doesn't have its own equipment to move them and is now in talks to
find a company, even discussing doing the work at night to avoid further
tumult.
Initially, it
appeared the monuments would be removed quickly after the majority black
City Council on Dec. 17 voted 6-1 to approve the mayor's plan to take
them down. The monuments, including towering figures of Gens. Robert E.
Lee and P.G.T. Beauregard, have long been viewed by many here as symbols
of racism and white supremacy.

“The fear and apprehension in the American Muslim community has never been at this level,” said Ibrahim Hooper, a spokesman for CAIR. “The anti-Islamic tidal wave is spurring civic participation.”

I have lived this and it's true
If
you are flat broke with no way out or no way up, if all you have is
change in your pockets you are uniquely positioned for a powerful
success in life.. IF you want to. I speak from experience in this area,
been broke twice and wealthy three times. Daymond John is preaching to

5. There is invaluable valuable knowledge to be learned in the struggle. The struggle of being broke helps shape ideas for the future and for the good of the product or the service being offered. Easy money may be easy to squander.

Glenn Beck as Prophet
During his radio broadcast Thursday morning, Glenn Beck outlined eight predictions he made starting in 1999 — all of which, he says, have come to fruition.
The first, Beck says, was in 1999, when he was a radio host on WABC-AM, and he predicted that the now-deceased al-Qaeda founder Osama bin Laden would attack the United States.
“In 1999, I said, ‘Are you ready to fight terror? It’s a completely different world. Osama bin Laden — there will be blood, bodies and buildings in the streets,’” Beck said.

From there, the conservative firebrand continued to build his list of past predictions.
Beck said he saw the “downfall of the GOP” coming in 2003 or 2004, when he started to feel “something isn’t right.” “If anybody is a long-term listener,” Beck said, “they remember that I
would talk on the air and say to everybody in Washington, ‘Do you
realize what’s happening? Do you realize that you’re disenfranchising
people?’”
During the re-election of President George W. Bush in 2004, Beck said he was predicting the bursting of the housing bubble and the banking crisis, which came in 2008. The radio show host said he told listeners, “Don’t take out these loans.”

Beck credits the “Bubba Effect” for the riots in Ferguson, Missouri, and Baltimore, Maryland, along with last week’s violent protests in Chicago ahead of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s canceled rally.
Lastly, Beck said he predicted in 2010 the rise of the Islamic caliphate in the Middle East, which today is the Islamic State. “They mocked and mocked and mocked on that,” Gray said.
The first, Beck says, was in 1999, when he was a radio host on WABC-AM, and he predicted that the now-deceased al-Qaeda founder Osama bin Laden would attack the United States.
“In 1999, I said, ‘Are you ready to fight terror? It’s a completely different world. Osama bin Laden — there will be blood, bodies and buildings in the streets,’” Beck said.

the past twenty-four hours a sizable contingent of Trump supporters
have emailed me to say I am obstructing “the will of the people.” What
will is that exactly? Is that the will of more than half of Republicans
who have not voted for Donald Trump in any state? Is that the will of
the majority of Americans who have said they would oppose Donald Trump
in a general election?
I have signed no oath of loyalty to Donald Trump or the GOP. The fact is very simple — Trump needs my vote. I do not need Trump, nor will I give Donald Trump my vote.
I am a conservative. I believe in limited governments, free markets, and free people. Donald Trump does not.
His values do not line up with my values. It is not an issues issue. I fundamentally disagreed with Mitt Romney and John McCain on issues, but I did not think either man a moral cretin.
I find Donald Trump to be a man of low moral character and low integrity. Essentially, Donald Trump is gold plated sleaze and I have no use for him at all ever.
If that means Hillary Clinton becomes President of the United States, Donald Trump’s supporters can carry that burden. Everyone saw it coming except for them. If they wish to transform the Republican Party into something it is not nor ever has been, then I will part ways with the GOP.
Just because some might sell out conservatism for gold plated sleaze stroking their egos or ratings does not mean we all will. I’m a Christian first and a conservative before I’m a Republican. I’m not willing to be bought off by a man looking for legitimacy through the acquisition of power when his values are diametrically opposed to mine.
Principle still matters to me. Donald Trump does not.

A message for People who are concerned about how hard life is..

BUT... it speaks to the whole outrage culture in the USA. Black Lives Matter, Donald Trump protesters, Occupy Wall Street and all the outrage over how the "Man" presses people down, blaming bad policy like happened in Flint on the wrong people, blaming cops for being cops (even if some are corrupt and wrong), Marching agaist anything that people waste time on.
Well this captures it.. it's targeted toward Millenials, but it is accurately applied to all outraged people.
Number ONE is the most important:
They may not yet be the present, but they’re certainly the future. These young, uninitiated minds will someday soon become our politicians, doctors, scientists, chefs, television producers, fashion designers, manufacturers, and, one would hope, the new proponents of liberty. But are they ready for it?
Time after time, particularly on college campuses, millennials have proven to be little more than entitled, spoiled, anti-intellectual brats who place far too much emphasis on feelings and nowhere near enough emphasis on critical thinking. To the millennial, words are cause for the creation of safe spaces, alternative ideas must be stifled, and anything they perceive to be a microaggression is enough to send them spiraling into a state of mental distress.
It’s time millennials understood these 7 harsh realities of life so we don’t end up with a generation of gutless adult babies running the show.
Seriously, nobody who has already graduated college cares about your feelings. That means that when you complain to your boss because your co-worker mis-gendered you, he’s probably not going to bend over backwards to bandage your wounds. Given feelings are entirely subjective in nature, it’s completely unreasonable to demand everyone tip-toe around you to prevent yours from being hurt. The reality is that people will offend you and hurt your feelings, and they won’t stop to mop up your tears because they shouldn’t have to. Learning to accept criticism, alternative viewpoints, and even outright insults will make you happier in the long run than routinely playing the victim card.
This is a comforting lie parents have started telling their children to boost their morale in school. Unfortunately, millennials are now convinced it’s true, especially as society has now decided to push this narrative as well. The reality is if you’re 17 years old and still can’t figure out basic division, you’re not going to be a rocket scientist. If you’re overweight and unattractive, you’re not going to be the quarterback’s prom date. If you lack fine motor skills, you’re not going to be a heart surgeon. It’s okay to accept that you cannot be whatever you want to be. In fact, once you accept this, you’ll be able to focus on the things you can be — the things you really are talented at.

While some millennials taking useless degrees will claim they’re beneficial for teaching or research positions, the reality is that they just put themselves several thousands dollars in debt to learn how to be a professional victim. While you’re struggling to make ends meet after graduation because nobody who pays more than minimum wage is interested in your qualifications and you’re drowning in student loan debt, be sure to check out the next harsh reality before you start complaining.
That’s right. Even though you work at McDonald’s for minimum wage because you got a useless, outrageously expensive college degree, you’re still far better off than the vast majority of the planet. Don’t believe me? Fly to Uganda and check out the living conditions there. Fly to China, Saudi Arabia, North Korea, Iran, Russia, and even European countries like Ukraine and Greece, and you’ll quickly discover just how well-off you really are. While it may be cool these days to dump on capitalism, it’s the only reason you aren’t already worse off.
That includes healthcare, guaranteed income, and somewhere to live. Just because you’re here and breathing doesn’t mean society owes you anything. Like the billions of people who lived before you, working hard is a better guarantor of wealth and the ability to comfortably take care of yourself than begging society or the government to do it for you. Demanding healthcare be a right, for example, is equivalent to demanding government force the taxpayer to pay for it. While that may seem like a good idea in theory, it only leads to rationing of care when costs become unsustainable, which negatively impacts not just your health, but everyone else’s, too.
By contrast, you do have the right to live however you please, so long as it’s within the confines of the law. If you want to cross-dress, smoke marijuana, drink lots of alcohol, have lots of sex, and, yes, even go to school for gender studies, then by all means, go for it. Government should not be allowed to legislate people’s behavior as long as it doesn’t infringe upon someone else’s rights, but that doesn’t mean society isn’t allowed to have an opinion. You don’t have the right to demand people keep their opinions about your lifestyle to themselves, especially if you’re open and public about it. I have as much of a right to comment on the way you live your life as you do to actually live it. Your feelings are not a protected right, but my speech is.
No matter where you go in life, someone will be there to offend you. Maybe it’s a joke you overheard on vacation, a spat at the office, or a difference of opinion with someone in line at the grocery store. Inevitably, someone will offend you and your values. If you cannot handle that without losing control of your emotions and reverting back to your “safe space” away from the harmful words of others, then you’re best to just stay put at home. Remember, though: if people in the outside world scare you, people on the internet will downright terrify you. It’s probably best to just accept these harsh realities of life and go out into the world prepared to confront them wherever they may be waiting.

Ten Reasons Why Supporting Trump is Impossible for ME
Truth is not slander.. it's just true. I want those who are good moral people to tell me that I have this wrong in any way. This is a slander free post, I expect the same from you:
1: While divorce is not a permanent stain, Reagan was divorced the circumstances of these Marge endings and beginnings are troubling.
While Trump was married to Ivana, he met Marla Maples, he knocked her up while married to Ivana. The baby was born before they were married. That lasted about ten years. The daughter Tiffany is now 22 years old. Not on the stage with her dad. She is doing OK but dad hadn't been much in her life. Then While he was married to Marla he met Melina, started an affiar with her and divorced Marla. And that started while married.
This is what we used to call adultery. In some nations it's considered a problem. Perhaps not here. I have an issue with it. How a man masters his own household is a clue as to how he will master his office..and it doesn't give me much confidence. There is that test. Honor and character matter.
2: His four time bankruptcies that broke many tradesmen and suppliers. I understand going bankrupt. I was almost there once myself. Yet, if you have screwed over people to advance yourself four times using laws that are on the books, that needs to be noted. Once I can understand.. four times is more than I can excuse. Trust me, if Trump becomes the nominee the Democrats have horror stories all stored up to roll out on him. His bluster will have a hard time countering the facts presented and he will look like a charlatan.
3: His big vision of the future. He says he has lots of big plans on how he is going to fix Obamacare, how he is going to deal with illegal immigration including the wall Mexico is going to pay for, how he is going to bring Iphone production back to the USA, how he is going to punish Carrier and Ford for taking jobs out of the country, how he is going to get even with China. It all is great sounding rhetoric without a shred of evidence on how this is going to happen. He has no plan. He's beyond accountability and while for now in the primary he can bluster his way thru, he will be shown for what he is.. big talk no plan. He has some advisers who may be able to help him with tax policy, but he is vacant of genuine solutions for most of the difficulty facing the USA. None of what I have heard gives me any confidence he has a clue what to do except talk big.
4: His lack of understanding of even the rudimentary foreign policy challenges in the USA is difficult. Kill ISIS. Bomb them. Show Putin down. Crush China. Make Mexico pay. It's all fantasy and illusion. He knows so little about foreign affairs it's crazy. When I was CEO years ago I traveled to many countries and they wined and dined me. Much. Made me feel important. Just as when Trump comes with his money. He says he gets along with international leaders all of which are now frightened by his lack of comprehension.
5: His capacity to be volatile, condescending, cruel, demeaning, dismissive, irreverent and intemperate. Threatening and telling everyone they have to come into line. People are trying to reach out to him, but he plays a role he hasn't earned. When I hear him talk about his opponents the way he does he reminds me sadly of childhood bullies I knew in the 5th grade. Big talk. Lots of bluster. Threatening. Then I beat the crap out of them and they shut up. Someone will. He will not last on the national stage.. he will be shut out.
6: His appeal is to a low denominator in our culture. Honey Boo Boo, Kardasian, Pawn Shop, American Pickers, Storage Shed Auction, and he Apprentice. All flowing from a poplulation that has been poorly educated in economics and real politics. It's like the nerve he has hit depends on lack of understanding. I'm sure there are a few who do have understanding who have jumped on the bandwagon. Rudy Gulianni, Mike Ditka, Sarah Palin, Dennis Rodman, Jesse Ventura, Charlie Sheen, Kid Rock, Gary Busey, Hulk Hogan, Ted Nugent, Larry Kudlow and Tia Tequila. What does this list have in common? You decide. I'm not on it. And won't be.
7: While he seems to be successful in building buildings, there are few other things he has done well. He trotted out steaks the other night, but they weren't his, he bought them in. He trotted out Water that had been reliable. The vineyard and winery is something John Kluge built and Donald bought. He didn't create anything. I won't even talk about his Trump University. His magazine? OK.. don't get it, but every city I travel to has a local nice glossy magazine.. subscriptions? Probably not. Sells some advertising.. I would like to see a P&L on that venture. I published at one time, it's harder than it looks. While Mitt Romney was pilloried for it, he was right. Trumps success is not nearly what he claims it to be. I even question his wealth. I remember the last time he went bankrupt in NYC. There was talk of his personal eviction from his own building. Color me unimpressed. I know business successes personally and they aren't like him. I have also known business people like him.. they don't last. I think his financials are secret because they would tell a truth he can't take.
8: His double minded approach to many things is troubling. The Bible says it is schizophrenia. Instability. While I know people can grow. Heck I was a liberal 40 years ago. Ronald Reagan was a democrat a few decades before he became President. While at one level he seems to be trying to defend Christianity (badly) out of the same mouth comes defense of Planned Parenthood. He doesn't even deny financial support for radical liberals in the last ten years. Opponents of all things that conservatives say they believe in. Then suddenly he has this epiphany, says he is a conservative but has such a hard time articulating what that means. EVEN the ultra liberal incompetent Paul Krugman (who won a Nobel prize) says that Trumps tax plan (yes he will increase taxes) is a good one. That is scary praise. He has been unstable in his approach to Immigration. Just 4 years ago he was in favor of a path to citizenship for those illegal in this country. What changed? He is erratic in his thinking. I don't doubt how quick on his feet he is, I do doubt his stability and wisdom. I am not convinced he knows who he is. See number one in this list.
9: Being anti establishment is not a workable position from which to govern, Electing a president, especially in a dangerous world, is important work. Anger and emotion should not govern the choice. Considered judgment should.Anger against the “Washington establishment” is not one. Those who worship Trump have an obligation to say why he is worthy of their faith. Given his liberal background and poor explanations of why he now believes differently, how do his supporters know he will govern conservatively should he win the White House? His politics are those of an averagely well-informed businessman: " Washington is full of problems; I am a problem-solver; let me at them". But if you have no familiarity with the relevant details and the levers of power, and no clear principles to guide you, you will, like most amateur, get rolled. He has shown no interest in limiting government, in reforming entitlements, or in the Constitution. He floats the idea of massive new taxes on imported goods and threatens to retaliate against companies that do too much manufacturing overseas for his taste. His obsession is with ‘winning,’ regardless of the means — a spirit that is anathema to the ordered liberty that conservatives hold dear and that depends for its preservation on limits on government power.
10: Last and most important, he can't win. I did say a while back when I made the estimate that there was wisdom in the collective electorate that he would be toast by December. I overestimated the collective discernment of the American people. Now even among christian leaders like Walnau and Jeffreies, they have been taken in. I am reminded of the Biblical statement of looking out for GREAT DECEPTION. That's a lot like Make America GREAT again. Deception sets in from anger. Anger however doesn't get us there. The new WSJ NBC poll.. today. Very hard to read:
You can say that you don't believe it, that he would crush Hillary. I'm not so much worried about Hillary, I am convinced that if she drops dead or fall apart that it will be President Sanders.
But if you want to whistle by the graveyard, and believe in your heart that he can win, stick to it.
This is my viewpoint. I have tried hard to only stick to facts, no slander. But in this election cycle facts don't seem to matter much.
Pardon me please for caring what happens to this good nation.
1: While divorce is not a permanent stain, Reagan was divorced the circumstances of these Marge endings and beginnings are troubling.
While Trump was married to Ivana, he met Marla Maples, he knocked her up while married to Ivana. The baby was born before they were married. That lasted about ten years. The daughter Tiffany is now 22 years old. Not on the stage with her dad. She is doing OK but dad hadn't been much in her life. Then While he was married to Marla he met Melina, started an affiar with her and divorced Marla. And that started while married.
This is what we used to call adultery. In some nations it's considered a problem. Perhaps not here. I have an issue with it. How a man masters his own household is a clue as to how he will master his office..and it doesn't give me much confidence. There is that test. Honor and character matter.
2: His four time bankruptcies that broke many tradesmen and suppliers. I understand going bankrupt. I was almost there once myself. Yet, if you have screwed over people to advance yourself four times using laws that are on the books, that needs to be noted. Once I can understand.. four times is more than I can excuse. Trust me, if Trump becomes the nominee the Democrats have horror stories all stored up to roll out on him. His bluster will have a hard time countering the facts presented and he will look like a charlatan.
3: His big vision of the future. He says he has lots of big plans on how he is going to fix Obamacare, how he is going to deal with illegal immigration including the wall Mexico is going to pay for, how he is going to bring Iphone production back to the USA, how he is going to punish Carrier and Ford for taking jobs out of the country, how he is going to get even with China. It all is great sounding rhetoric without a shred of evidence on how this is going to happen. He has no plan. He's beyond accountability and while for now in the primary he can bluster his way thru, he will be shown for what he is.. big talk no plan. He has some advisers who may be able to help him with tax policy, but he is vacant of genuine solutions for most of the difficulty facing the USA. None of what I have heard gives me any confidence he has a clue what to do except talk big.
4: His lack of understanding of even the rudimentary foreign policy challenges in the USA is difficult. Kill ISIS. Bomb them. Show Putin down. Crush China. Make Mexico pay. It's all fantasy and illusion. He knows so little about foreign affairs it's crazy. When I was CEO years ago I traveled to many countries and they wined and dined me. Much. Made me feel important. Just as when Trump comes with his money. He says he gets along with international leaders all of which are now frightened by his lack of comprehension.
5: His capacity to be volatile, condescending, cruel, demeaning, dismissive, irreverent and intemperate. Threatening and telling everyone they have to come into line. People are trying to reach out to him, but he plays a role he hasn't earned. When I hear him talk about his opponents the way he does he reminds me sadly of childhood bullies I knew in the 5th grade. Big talk. Lots of bluster. Threatening. Then I beat the crap out of them and they shut up. Someone will. He will not last on the national stage.. he will be shut out.
6: His appeal is to a low denominator in our culture. Honey Boo Boo, Kardasian, Pawn Shop, American Pickers, Storage Shed Auction, and he Apprentice. All flowing from a poplulation that has been poorly educated in economics and real politics. It's like the nerve he has hit depends on lack of understanding. I'm sure there are a few who do have understanding who have jumped on the bandwagon. Rudy Gulianni, Mike Ditka, Sarah Palin, Dennis Rodman, Jesse Ventura, Charlie Sheen, Kid Rock, Gary Busey, Hulk Hogan, Ted Nugent, Larry Kudlow and Tia Tequila. What does this list have in common? You decide. I'm not on it. And won't be.
7: While he seems to be successful in building buildings, there are few other things he has done well. He trotted out steaks the other night, but they weren't his, he bought them in. He trotted out Water that had been reliable. The vineyard and winery is something John Kluge built and Donald bought. He didn't create anything. I won't even talk about his Trump University. His magazine? OK.. don't get it, but every city I travel to has a local nice glossy magazine.. subscriptions? Probably not. Sells some advertising.. I would like to see a P&L on that venture. I published at one time, it's harder than it looks. While Mitt Romney was pilloried for it, he was right. Trumps success is not nearly what he claims it to be. I even question his wealth. I remember the last time he went bankrupt in NYC. There was talk of his personal eviction from his own building. Color me unimpressed. I know business successes personally and they aren't like him. I have also known business people like him.. they don't last. I think his financials are secret because they would tell a truth he can't take.
8: His double minded approach to many things is troubling. The Bible says it is schizophrenia. Instability. While I know people can grow. Heck I was a liberal 40 years ago. Ronald Reagan was a democrat a few decades before he became President. While at one level he seems to be trying to defend Christianity (badly) out of the same mouth comes defense of Planned Parenthood. He doesn't even deny financial support for radical liberals in the last ten years. Opponents of all things that conservatives say they believe in. Then suddenly he has this epiphany, says he is a conservative but has such a hard time articulating what that means. EVEN the ultra liberal incompetent Paul Krugman (who won a Nobel prize) says that Trumps tax plan (yes he will increase taxes) is a good one. That is scary praise. He has been unstable in his approach to Immigration. Just 4 years ago he was in favor of a path to citizenship for those illegal in this country. What changed? He is erratic in his thinking. I don't doubt how quick on his feet he is, I do doubt his stability and wisdom. I am not convinced he knows who he is. See number one in this list.
9: Being anti establishment is not a workable position from which to govern, Electing a president, especially in a dangerous world, is important work. Anger and emotion should not govern the choice. Considered judgment should.Anger against the “Washington establishment” is not one. Those who worship Trump have an obligation to say why he is worthy of their faith. Given his liberal background and poor explanations of why he now believes differently, how do his supporters know he will govern conservatively should he win the White House? His politics are those of an averagely well-informed businessman: " Washington is full of problems; I am a problem-solver; let me at them". But if you have no familiarity with the relevant details and the levers of power, and no clear principles to guide you, you will, like most amateur, get rolled. He has shown no interest in limiting government, in reforming entitlements, or in the Constitution. He floats the idea of massive new taxes on imported goods and threatens to retaliate against companies that do too much manufacturing overseas for his taste. His obsession is with ‘winning,’ regardless of the means — a spirit that is anathema to the ordered liberty that conservatives hold dear and that depends for its preservation on limits on government power.
10: Last and most important, he can't win. I did say a while back when I made the estimate that there was wisdom in the collective electorate that he would be toast by December. I overestimated the collective discernment of the American people. Now even among christian leaders like Walnau and Jeffreies, they have been taken in. I am reminded of the Biblical statement of looking out for GREAT DECEPTION. That's a lot like Make America GREAT again. Deception sets in from anger. Anger however doesn't get us there. The new WSJ NBC poll.. today. Very hard to read:
Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders would handily defeat Donald Trump in a general election match-up, while a clash between Clinton and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz or Florida Sen. Marco Rubio would be a toss-up, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
The poll shows that Trump, who frequently boasts in interviews and campaign appearances that he would beat Clinton in November, would lose a one-on-one contest against her by double digits. In a head-to-head fight, Clinton gets the support of 51 percent of registered voters compared to 38 percent for the real estate mogul.
For Sanders, the margin of victory would be even greater, the poll shows.
The Vermont senator gets 55 percent support in a hypothetical two-person race against Trump, while the GOP front-runner would get just 37 percent.
You can say that you don't believe it, that he would crush Hillary. I'm not so much worried about Hillary, I am convinced that if she drops dead or fall apart that it will be President Sanders.
But if you want to whistle by the graveyard, and believe in your heart that he can win, stick to it.
This is my viewpoint. I have tried hard to only stick to facts, no slander. But in this election cycle facts don't seem to matter much.
Pardon me please for caring what happens to this good nation.

Marco Rubio Needs to Get Out Now Because #NeverTrump is Becoming #TrumpGuaranteed By Erick Erickson | March 8, 2016, 05:00am
I helped launch the #NeverTrump movement with my piece written late two Friday’s ago.
That night it got over 60,000 hits and the #NeverTrump hashtag became a
worldwide trend. Credit for the hashtag goes to my friend Aaron
Gardner. I’d used #AgainstTrump, the title of the National Review cover, but Aaron suggested I change it.
What I am seeing at this point, however, is that #NeverTrump is guaranteeing Trump’s nomination because #NeverTrump is really #NeverTed. Many of the most vocal supporters of the #NeverTrump movement are Marco Rubio supporters and they are handing the nomination to Trump because they cannot face the reality of this election.
The reality is pretty simple. In 20 races, Rubio has won 2 and one of those, Puerto Rico, gets no say in the electoral college. Trump has 384 delegates, Cruz has 300, and Rubio has 151. Kasich, for what it is worth, only has 37.
If Rubio wins in Florida, which is no guarantee, he will not stop Trump from winning the most delegates, but might stop Trump from getting to 1,237. That would create a floor fight at the convention and, if Trump has the most delegates and does not get the nomination, the Republican Party is f**ked for a generation at least. Heck, I’d help burn it down and I’m absolutely #NeverTrump. But the party would deserve annihilation if we got to that point.
Rubio, even if he wins Florida, would have to sweep virtually 70% of the rest of the contests. Given his performance so far, that will not be easy and is absolutely not guaranteed. The much touted poll showing Rubio winning early voting in Florida is pulled from a larger survey showing Trump ahead. In reality, that portion of the survey shows Rubio winning a majority of just 72 people in a polling sample that is supposed to represent 571,000 people who have voted early — in other words, it is an anecdote, not data. Again, it is no guarantee that he will win Florida and the Cruz campaign has an absolutely legitimate reason to make sure Rubio loses Florida. On top of that, the infrastructure of Rubio’s campaign is really not great.
The Cruz campaign understands that to beat Trump, Trump must be beaten in the primaries. Rubio’s defeat in Florida is the only way to force Marco Rubio out of the race for sure and secure donor support for Cruz. The conversations with donors are already happening.
The insistent that Rubio must stay in until Florida only keeps energy flowing to Trump and does nothing to stop Trump from getting to Cleveland with the most delegates.
The only way to stop Trump is to fundamentally change the dynamic of the race. That dynamic requires an outsider in the lead position because we have seen repeatedly over this past year that the outsiders outnumber the insiders.
Again — if Trump leads delegates heading to Cleveland, despite not having 1,237, the GOP will have hell to pay if it does not make him the nominee.
If Rubio loses Florida, which three other candidates have every incentive to ensure happens, Rubio’s political career is over completely and his chances of even being offered the Vice Presidential nomination go down dramatically.
If Marco stays in and wins Florida, the odds are still against him getting to Cleveland with the most delegates.
Had Rubio gotten out before this past Saturday, Ted Cruz would have won every single state at stake, which is actually not the case in the reverse had Cruz gotten out and Rubio stayed in.
The only way to stop Trump now is to ally with Ted Cruz. But too many of the #NeverTrump brigade are really #NeverTed. They don’t want to look at the math, they don’t want to look at the road ahead, they don’t want Ted Cruz. They’d rather lose with Rubio and stay home in November than ally with Ted Cruz and even have a shot in November.
That is genuinely unfortunate and will either guarantee Trump is the nominee or guarantee the Republican Party is destroyed. Marco Rubio, a great man with a struggling campaign, has a cult of personality every bit as committed as Trump’s. The difference is that Rubio’s cult will give us Trump where Trump’s cult alone never could.
Marco Rubio needs to get out of the race now to stop Trump and save the party and nation. That’s just the cold, hard, unpleasant reality.

What's Up?
In their new book, Bill & Hillary: So This is That Thing Called Love,
the authors interview Clinton insiders who claim that Bill slept with
so many women that Hillary Clinton has repeatedly forced him to get an
HIV test from the doctor. This is because the former President “favored
unprotected sex.”
And while the first tests came back negative, HIV
and AIDS might explain an ongoing mystery. Over the years, both Clintons
have kept their medical records a secret. Clinton has explained his
rapidly changing appearance to his heart surgery and “new diet” but he
has looked increasingly thin and weak at Hillary campaign rallies.
As Rush Limbaugh opined, looking at Bill Clinton on
the campaign trail, Rush only sees Preparation H, Geritol, Fixodent,
and Depends. Bill Clinton looks like his health is on a rapid recline.
Bill Clinton is roughly the same age as President
George W. Bush. But while Bush looks healthy, Clinton only becomes older
and frail.
Even a former Clinton White House advisor admits Bill looks unhealthy and “washed-up”:

Why Romney Fell on his Sword
In the old times of war a leader would many times commit suicide rather than be captured by a hostile force. It was called falling on one's sword.
King Saul did this: 1 Samuel 31:4-5
He has been roundly criticized, called a loser, despised and rejected. It's what happens when you commit open political suicide. He will never again be held in any esteem. Yet it was far more important to him, because he loves this country, to bring what he sees as truth. While what he said was stinging and may not make any difference to anyone, it was what he believed he had to do. To remain silent was not possible.
He is dead to most of the Republican party and to many even that oppose Donald Trump. Dead by suicide politically.
Yet he was the only one who could practically bring this message. He earned the right by having once carried the Republican nomination. McCain is the other. Bush might have but he didn't. I wish he had.
So while many are angry, the message needed to be given. That Trump is a con man. That he is ignorant of much that matters to be President. That he is not that good at what he does. That he is crude and abusive. If he is crude and abusive as a candidate, what happens if he ends up on the national stage. He does not have the temperament to be President.
SO for that I thank Governor Romney for his sacrifice. I thank God there is courage left. I know it has and will cost him dearly. Yet he was the right man to do the right thing. To stay silent in the face of insipid evil is worse than treason.

I will not vote for Donald Trump for President of the United States even if he is the Republican nominee.
He is an authoritarian blending nationalist and tribal impulses, which historically has never worked out well for the nation that goes in that direction or the people in that nation.
He will not win in November. He will not win because he turns off a large number of Republicans; he turns off women; he turns off hispanic voters; he turns off black voters; and the blue collar voters who support him are not a sufficient base of support to carry him over the finish line. His supporters who claim he carried hispanic voters in Nevada are deluding themselves. Nevada’s turnout of hispanic voters was less than one percent of Nevada’s hispanic population, amounting to around 100 people in the exit polling with a margin of error of at minimum ±10%.
Trump is a liberal who has supported big government, interventionist policies. He defends Planned Parenthood, says he can cut deals in Washington, and believes in a socialist government run healthcare scheme.
At a time when so much is on the line for people of faith and conservatives, Donald Trump believes judges sign bills. He said so himself in the Houston, TX debate, while lying about the jurisprudence of Justice Samuel Alito.
Trump is also a con-artist and the media, which has built his campaign is going to destroy his campaign. After he secures the Republican nomination, the media will trot out every victim and perceived victim of Trump’s actions. All the people hurt by repeated strategic bankruptcies, all the people swindled by Trump University, and anyone who got food poisoning from Trump steaks will be in a 24/7 cavalcade on national television.
By the time the media and Democrats, but I repeat myself, are done with Trump, he will be radioactive.
Donald Trump will not win in November. Period. End of story.
But, on the off chance Satan pulls a grand slam out of hell and Trump were to do it, he would be an authoritarian despot, deeply destructive to the ideals of this nation and the constitutional principles of the republic, and he would destroy the remains of the Republican Party and much of the conservative movement as conservatives whore themselves out to be close to power.
In fact, I dare say that as if Trump secures the nomination, some of the first people to come out and demand we all kiss his ring will be the people who immediately came out to attested to the credibility and competence of Harriet Miers. They will demand our fealty to a man who thinks judges sign bills.
It is absolutely important to disclose that we will not support Trump in the general election now. It shows that we are not sore losers whose nominee preference did not win, but rather are stating that if Trump does get the nomination, we will not support him and are making our declaration with enough time to stop him if his supporters listen to reason.
For those who say Trump can beat Hillary, it gives them time to decide if they can beat Hillary without us.
Explicitly stating our opposition, before he secures the nomination, will not stop people from saying we cost him the nomination. But in the historic record it will be clear we saw the rise of an authoritarian jackass, rejected him, and gave people ample time to heed the warnings before jumping off the cliff.

If Trump supporters choose to proceed, history will show what they will never concede — his defeat is on them, not us. With the rise of an authoritarian menace to our republic, it is important to go on record now, while he can be stopped, that we will play no part in his rise.

Let’s dismiss the fact that Donald Trump’s ex-wife once said he kept a book with Hitler’s speeches by his bed. Let’s just dismiss it because perhaps it was said in anger.
But it does track with Donald Trump’s performance today. He tweeted out a quote from Mussolini and when called on it by Chuck Todd on Meet the Press, Trump refused to walk it back and quoted Hillary Clinton’s “what difference does it make?”
Then, on CNN, Donald Trump refused to immediately denounce the KKK or David Duke, acting as if he did not know who David Duke was.
Christian, if you are supporting a man who says he has never felt the need to repent despite affairs, adultery, and multiple marriages and who quotes Mussolini and won’t denounce the KKK, there is seriously something wrong with you.
How terrible it is that you are are willing to gain the world with Trump and lose your soul in the process.
And shame on Robert Jeffress and Jerry Falwell, Jr. for giving Christian veneer to Donald Trump.
The one saving grace in all of this is that more and more polling data shows that the more a person is a regular church goer the more the person is likely to oppose Trump. A lot of people who call themselves “evangelical” or “Christian” are meaning it in the cultural sense, not the actual sense.
They, like us all, will one day be called to account. They need prayer.

I’ll
make you a deal: You can give
me your money, and then I’ll give you back most of it next month. Or you
can give it to me for 10 years, and I will give all of it back to you
in a decade as long as you make small, periodic payments to me.
Who in their right mind would take this deal? Apparently there are some people in Europe and Japan who are doing this. This is the world of negative interest rates. It was just over a month ago that the Bank of Japan (BOJ) announced its new policy of negative interest rates. Specifically, the central bank is imposing a negative rate of 0.1% on excess reserves held by banks. This is supposed to get the banks to lend money in order to jumpstart the economy. This idea of negative rates goes against everything we have learned about money. An interest rate is supposed to be a reflection on the price of money in relation to time preference. If you ask someone if he would prefer a dollar today or a dollar a year from now, most people are going to take the dollar today. Even if you may not spend it until a year from now, at least you have the option. If you were offered one hundred apples to eat, you might prefer to have one a day for the next 100 days instead of getting them all at once, assuming that they would be fresh each day. That is because apples will go rotten. If you get 100 of them in one day, you better quickly sell them or find people to give them away to. But money is not the same as apples. Money does not go rotten (setting aside what central bank inflation may do). You can save money. You can buy goods and services with it today, or you can wait for another time in the future to buy. This is the luxury of an advanced civilization with the use of money and a high division of labor. Imagine a world a long time ago where people bartered goods and services. Imagine a baker with many loaves of bread having to find various people to trade with. It would be a nightmare without a common medium of exchange. It is much easier to sell the bread for some form of money that is widely acceptable. Then the baker can buy whatever he wants at the time of his choosing. |

Cash is the currency of freedom
Larry Summers wrote recently in The Washington Post
that the $100 bill needs to go. The reason, he says, is that it’s a
favorite of criminals, along with the 500 euro note, which is likely to be discontinued. The New York Times editorialized in agreement, writing: “Getting
rid of big bills will make it harder for criminals to do business and
make it easier for law enforcement to detect illicit activity. ... There
is no need for large-denomination currency. Britain’s top bill is the
50-pound note ($72), which has been perfectly sufficient. The United
States stopped distributing $500, $1,000, $5,000 and $10,000 bills in
1969. There are now so many ways to pay for things, and eliminating big
bills should create few problems.”
Reading this got me to thinking: What is a $100 bill worth now, compared to 1969? According to the U.S. Inflation Calculator online,
a $100 bill today has the equivalent purchasing power of $15.49 in 1969
dollars. Likewise, in 1969, a $100 bill had the equivalent purchasing
power of $645.55 in today’s dollars.
So even if we brought back the discontinued $500 bill, it wouldn’t have the purchasing power today that a $100 bill had in 1969,
when larger denominations were discontinued. And carrying around a $100
bill today is basically like carrying around a $20 in 1969.
And
although inflation isn’t running very high at the moment, this trend
will only continue. If the next few decades are like the last few, paper
money in current denominations will become basically useless.
